Good looking sandwiches and nice folks running the place but the buns and bread are usually stale and flavorless. Last sandwiches we got here were the final try. You never see locals nor island regulars here, no one recommends the place and that’s a bad sign too.

World’s most expensive sandwiches but left completely dissappointed with the quality. We wanted a sandwich to bring with us to our hike up to Wrigley Memorial and happened to walk by this place. The deli looked promising, and with double digit prices for a sandwich, I assumed it would be top notch deli quality. I was wrong. $ 14 for a turkey avocado sandwich on rosemary bread. The lettuce in the sandwich was frozen. I had ice in my sandwich. Makes me wonder why the lady even chose to use the lettuce in the first place because, clearly, it was not of good quality to include in a $ 14 sandwich. Maybe they had a lack of supply? Who knows, but it was not acceptable. Not coming back here again.

I was going to give one star due to the lack luster service in this place, but the place next door same owner different employees added 2 stars. We walked into the deli to purchase wine cheese and crackers. Plus my gf found some little knick nacks all some total about 80 dollars. I asked the women in the back woth glasses if anyone could ring me up, to which she scoffed and turned away. Won’t be back and income to the island 2 times a year. I did go next door bot knowing it was the same owner and purchased some wine and gelato. So an 80 dollar sale turned into a 30 dollar sale. So important to have good employees.

Nice little deli. I was initially put off by the price($ 16 for a wrap) but it looked like it would be better than much of the other restaurants for a decent and healthy lunch without getting a burger. I would up getting the Mediterranean wrap and it was fantastic, and quite large. Large enough two could share of neither are starving. It took a while to prepare but the wait was worth it. No pre made spreads here, all fresh ingredients. I highly recommend. Just don’t expect to be in and put like you would at the burger joint up the street.

As others have noted, they are pricey. But they provide top-notch cut meats and cheeses that are step above what the other delis on the Island provide. We had them create a party platter last year. It was about the same quality that you would get from a high end deli on the mainland. Four stars only because they don’t pick up their phone, and it’s tough to get hold of them.

My wife and I stopped here to pick-up a couple of sandwiches for the trip home. As soon as I stepped in the door the smell made me excited for a fresh deli sandwich. Unfortunately, not only was my first choice– pastrami– unavailable, but so was my second. My wife ordered the turkey and I had the tuna. Both sandwiches came out to a whopping $ 25. No sides, no drink, just sandwich. My sandwich was good. Tuna was nice and fresh, and the bread held together. I’d eat the sandwich again, but I wouldn’t pay the$ 10 again.

This was the worst deli I’ve ever been too! The service was horrible. The girl at the counter was very cranky. I ordered a Chipotle chicken sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a club and we both ended up receiving almost the same sandwich just different bread. I would have gone back and complained but I had to catch the boat back. The meat did not even taste fresh and we both ended up with stomach aches. In addition, the sandwiches were way too expensive…$ 25 for 2 regular size subs with no drinks. I feel ripped off!

A wonderful little spot with delicious cheeses and crackers, fabulous fresh sandwhiches with fresh quality ingredients… Also a florist shop in the back with beautiful bouquets made on the spot for very reasonable prices. Top notch shop… fun to just brouse in event if you don’t buy!

The quality is awesome. Boars head deli meat and cheese with la brea bakery bread. Perfect combo Now if you are in a rush to catch a tour and wanted to grab some sandwiches to go. Please know they are kind of slow with fulfilling the orders.

We went in to get sandwiches and the store looks pretty interesting. There are imported cheeses and specialty soft drinks you don’t find in every store. We ordered 5 sandwiches and it took 30 minutes for them to complete the order and cost $ 70 dollars. Then sandwiches looked good but as mentioned in another review they may not be busy enough to keep things fresh. The bread was so dry on all the different sandwiches we ended up tossing two of them. Too bad as it has some potential

First day on the island we picked up lunch here while we patiently waited for the ever so slow house keeping to get our room ready. BESTSANDWICHESINTHEWORLD is all that I have to say. It’s a small shop with some floral shop attached to the rear. No seats within but the beach is nearby with ample benches and sand to sit on. The sandwiches are insanely delicious and not small by any means. I say try!

Because Catalina has no Starbucks, Coffee Beans, or Kean Coffee, I had to look for another place to get my daily dose of coffee. So, I was recommended to come here by the locals, and… Wow, the coffee here is almost as good as Kean’s coffee. One note, their coffee shop on the corner of the store. When you first enter, you wouldn’t except this place to sale coffee, but they do, so walk around the small store ^^

Ordered a turkey sandwich to go. Perfect friendly service. While waiting for our sandwich all this happened – 1. One of the ladies of CC Galagher walked in and told us that we could sit on their patio because CC Beau Deli and CC Galagher are the same food. Same place in essence. 2. She also suggested that we check out Bloom Floral Design Studio in the back. Amazing stuff back there! 3. Checked out the goods sold at CC Beau Deli. Yummy stuff! 3. The sandwich maker chatted with us… asked where were from and such. He said he made our turkey sandwich extra big so my boyfriend and I could share. Overall great experience. How special! Thanks, CC Beau Deli!

Beautiful day trip with my mama to Catalina and I wanted a snack after our awesome zip-lining tour through the mountains. C.C. Beau was the choice and we ordered the Turkey Avocado and a root beer. Seating was available at C.C. Gallaugher so we sat there and our sammie would be delivered to us. It was delish! Meat was aplenty and fresh. The tomato aioli was on point. Rosemary bread was a great choice. The root beer was Hank’s Philly and it was refreshing. Wish I got another bottle. Haha. Overall, it is pricey($ 16 for sammie and drink) but you are in Catalina… 3.5 stars.

We love gelato. Every since we discovered Pappalecco, we have been spoiled. We walked into this little Avalon deli/gelato parlor and decided to sample some of their fresh gelato. They said the gelato was made in Santa Monica by 3rd generation Italians. Italians? Really? It wasn’t fresh. It was almost like it suffered freezer burn and had been sitting for a few days, and this was Saturday morning — from what we gathered, provisions hit the island Friday or Saturday for the weekend tourists. So my only conclusion is that the gelato was made by 3rd generation Italians from Brooklyn — or at the very least they were Italian mobsters using a gelato place as a money laundering front. This gelato is terrible. You can pretty much take whatever flavor you want, blend it with ice and add milk and you’ll have the crap they have at this place.

One of the only places in Avalon that serves sorbet. They were even so nice as to go back in to the walk-in and get us the lemon flavor that was not out. We did not try the sandwiches but I noted they looked gourmet and were $ 9.75-$ 15 each. That’s even on the slightly higher side even for Catalina.

$ 14 for a sandwich on dry bread. I had olive bread caprese sandwich & asked if she could add a liitle prosciutto & I’d pay extra for it. She kinda stopped & scoffed & said ok reluctantly. Weird since up to this point she was all friendly. Boyfriend ordered club sandwich with no mustard. We went next door & sat down to wait for ours sandwiches &1 drink. Seriously sat there for at least 15. Waiting. Waiting. Doesn’t take that long to make a sandwich. And there was no one infront of us at all. So sandwiches finally come. Garnished with a sliver of a pickle. They forget napkins & our drink. Bread was dry & falling apart on my sandwich. The boar’s head prosciutto lacked flavor. Mozzerella cheese wasn’t of high quality. Had the rough cheaper texture & not smooth & creamy like a good one should be. My boyfriend hated his sandwich. They put lots of mustard & weird sauce on it. Even tho he asked for a dry sandwich. He tried to scrape it off but it was everywhere. Hungry, he ate half & chucked the second half away. When we threw our trays away I notice more unfinished sandwiches in the bin. I wanted to like this place. It has the looks, the possibilities, but lacked taste & flavor. Save your $$. Over priced sandwiches boo! Why’d you pretend to look delicious?

Boar’s Head has always taken their meats and cheeses very seriously… luckily CC Deli does the same with their sandwiches! The wife and I were drawn in by the promise of quality Boar’s Head cuts… and I was definitely NOT disappointed. VERY friendly and helpful lady working there by the way. Very«homely» interior with an interesting assortment of random gourmet jellies, spreads, oils, pastas, chocolate, chips, etc. Great selection of cheeses on display… enough to make Urkel jizz in his jeans… wow, how’s that for an outdated and inappropriate reference! you’re right to be ashamed and I’m sorry =) Anywho, the wife gets the Turkey avocado on white(quite delicious in its own right) and I opt for sumn’ spicy… Chicken Chipotle samich which has roasted chicken, hot pepper jack and cheddar cheeses, roasted red peppers, chipotle peppers, lettuce and tomato on Rosemary bread. Also got some great quality sliced turkey for my baby to chow down on to go! We get back to our room and I am VERY pleasantly surprised with my creation… hearty thick cuts of the chicken piled high, delicious quality cheese, the peppers give it a great spicy flavor… pair that with some deli bbq chips and an ale… what more can you ask for? I wasn’t even that hungry but I devoured the whole thing and practically had to unhinge my jaw to put the whole thing in my mouth… and, yes, Michael Scott… that’s what she said.

Nice sandwich but waaaay too expensive. But, it is a nice place away from the strip mallish type run of mill places that are all over the Avalon. I had a brie, red pepper, spinach and prociutto ham(sp) sandwich, very nice. On Olive bread. The owner of the deli was so nice and we talked alot. I was there for 5 days So everytime I saw her, we talked, like an old friend. I would recommend this place for atmosphere and a great change of the average!

Listed as CC Beau Boars Head Deli on Google. Shares a shop with Bloom Floral Design. I spoke about this place briefly in my review of the related shop: CC Gallagher. As you might guess by the names, they are related. This place absolutely rocks. It is a gem too easily lost on this island. Unfortunately for them, they are located next to the worst Mexican food on the island so I tried to avoid that area as much as possible with dire consequences and great personal detriment. This place is an all-in-one. They have exotic specialty foods from Europe. This includes excellent chocolates, chocolate spreads, jams and other similar items. They also have a gift shop and floral design, which is certainly impressive. The place is also a deli and has THEBEST ice cream on the island. Did I say the best? The others don’t even compare. Why oh why did it take me so long to find this place? They have a great selection of breads, cheeses. There is a deli with plenty of excellent gourmet options. Let’s talk about that gelato again. Yum. Oh and the service was beyond friendly. So cheerful, so upbeat, and helpful. We got to know them almost by accident while ordering ice cream. They were enthusiastic and genuine about describing all the delicacies they had to offer without being in any way pushy. If you are near Avalon, you have to go here.
