I am writing this from the cabin of the Catalina express, and hoping, just hoping we hit an iceberg, that way I can forget about what’s bubbling within, after eating at Antonios. One Unilocaler said it best,” How do you mess up a pizza?” Job well done!

Amazing pizza! I’ve been here four or more times and am never disappointed. This is some of the better pizza I’ve ever had. The service is good, but might be better if the small and cramped dining area was arranged a little more efficiently. If it’s busy here, you may be better off just getting your pizza to-go. Also, they have root beer on tap and a pretty decent assortment of [bottled] beer. But, come here for the pizza!

How do you mess up pizza? So glad you asked, because this place knows how to ruin it. I ordered the«kick ass veggie pizza.» Half the veggies that were on it, were out of a can. I never had canned mushrooms and canned jalapeños on a pizza before, and I hope I never have to again. The crust was definitely not made from scratch, which is fine if you get it frozen, but can you not serve the frost bitten ones? You’re better off with a dollar, Mama Celeste pizza.

When you ask islanders to recommend a pizza place, this one get high accolades. Reminded me of the Jersey shore pizza joints. We found the service a bit slow, but the pizza was very tasty generous amounts of cheese and toppings, but not Brooklyn style as you’d expect a place dedicated to NYC and environs… id call this place average. not good not bad, adequate

Question, been going to Antonio’s for years and years, back to 1990’s. Had a Pizza last weekend and it was not the same, what happened did you change your recipe? This Pizza had a thick crust, not anything like what you used to make. I’m hesitant to return if this is your New Recipe…

Came here on the first night of my mini vacation with my boyfriend. We ordered to go and the lady said that it would take about 10 – 15 minutes for our order. Let’s just say that it took nearly an hour to get or order and they kept asking what we ordered and they weren’t even friendly about it. And in the end we didn’t even get our order completely right. They didn’t even apologize for taking complete ages for our order… everyone else’s orders were off way before our and we were there a good 10 – 15 mins before them. The food was good though can’t complain… but I don’t think I’ll be stopping by here the next time I’m in Catalina

So me and my friends came here for the first time. We ordered a half veggie and half meat pizza. What came out was a whole meat pizza. We let them know what happened with our order and they did everything they could to make it right. We left full and happy! Will definitely be visiting here again the next time we come!!!

Like most things on the island this place is hit or miss. I just ate the spinach and sausage calzone. One of the most disgusting meals of my life. But I’ve had other things here that were good. Meatball sub and spaghetti, both good. You just never know.

I just can’t believe this has less than 5 stars. It’s a little hole in the wall and you throw your peanuts on the floor which I have no idea how that related to Italian but whatever… We went in(we’re in a bit of a hurry) and got served immediately and thought the pizza was excellent! We generally like wood fired thin pizza normally but all 6 of us throughly enjoyed the pizza here !! Beer was super cold and we could park the golf cart right out front !!

Inauthentic pizza place with artificial ingredients. Got a meatball sub with mushrooms. The sub had a bland sauce. The mushrooms were rubbery and from a can. $ 11.95! Came with a bag of kettle bbq chips, which was the best part of my meal. Avoid at all costs. I saw them opening giant cans of tomato sauce at the kitchen counter. It was as if they knew that their food was subpar and were not going to try to hide the fact that they use canned ingredients.

Came here with my girlfriend April 10th. The antipasto salad was good, but service was slow and the pizza was horrible. Iced tea was served in very small cups(maybe 12 oz.) with mostly ice and only one refill. On a scale of 1 to 10, the pizza was a 2. The crust decent, but toppings were horrible. The mushrooms on the pizza appeared to be the kind from a 99¢ can of slimy mushrooms from a supermarket. Same with the pineapple chunks. Dominos Pizza is better than this pizza, and I don’t like Dominos. My girlfriend said the pizza resembles Celeste 99¢ frozen pizza.

Horrible service, let’s start with the lady that took my order, she was in a hurry, told me she was closed and allowed me to make the order and thru my change on the counter, next was the cook, 30 mins later I asked him is my pizza ready he told me he doesn’t know and started mumbling and I asked if he was talking to me he told me no he was talking to himself, let’s finish this with do not eat here they are disgusting, he was itching his arm pit and cut pizza right after, the food is nasty and look at the pic that’s the cook, don’t eat here

Well time has not tainted this place! An absolutely excellent little hidden treasure on Catalina. The food is delicious, we cleaned our plates!

Ate here last night with my husband for a quick dinner. There was one server, who was simultaneously serving 6 tables, multiple take-out order walk ups, and fielding phone calls. She was so overwhelmed that our dining experience was awful. We ordered root beer, and rather than turning around to the fridge behind her to grab it, she went and rang it in, then did 10 other things, answered calls, etc., totally forgetting to get it for us. We eventually just reached in the fridge for it ourselves, which of course we got scolded for. In general, she was pretty unfriendly, which seems about par for most servers on the island. Service doesn’t seem to need to be good, considering there are such limited options. Our food took about 45 minutes, which was entirely unacceptable for a quick order like chicken wings. Several to-go orders were placed and fulfilled before ours came out, and our server even noticed and yelled at the kitchen, asking where ours was. We were 2 mins from leaving when it finally emerged, and it wasn’t very good. The chicken was kind of rubbery and there was lots of fatty bits on already small wings/drumsticks. Everything was served on plastic plates with plastic silverware and everything — gross. This place must generate so much waste. Why wouldn’t you at least switch to biodegradable or something? It’s cool you can throw peanut shells on the floor, but you should probably sweep from time to time anyway. Bathrooms were too gross to use — I just walked back to our hotel to use it there. Definitely won’t be back.

Antonio’s is a 50′-style pizzeria and deli — they offer pizzas, pastas, salads, soups, and hot & cold sub sandwiches. I love the fact that they offer pizza by the slice as well. The hubsters wanted a little snack, so he ordered 1 slice of cheese pizza(Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Provolone, Cheddar, and Parmesan Cheese(which is also the cheese base for all the other pizzas as well!)). It was pan-style, so the pizza itself was thick, fluffy, and actually pretty tasty for a regular cheese pizza! However, I was intrigued as this pan pizza had a nice crispy crust — mmm! With a little sprinkle of chili flakes, this pizza was definitely delicious. A great spot to stop by if you want a little snack; I would love to come back and try out their ‘Mamma Mia’s Day Old Spaghetti,’ as that sounds pretty delicious. +pizza-by-the-slice +cheese base is 5 cheeses! +pan with a thin crispy crust: D

Ahh, Antonio’s. We were also recommended this location versus the one on the water from one of our excursion guides and I can say it wasn’t too bad. It’s tucked away down a side street a few hundred feet from the main drag and very cozy. We ordered a small pizza with pepperoni, the garlic bread, and a few fountain drinks. Pizza was moderately priced but was tasty. I do wish the pizza was a little bigger for the money but it had a good amount of cheese and pepperoni, was a bit greasy — in a good way, and was fresh. The garlic bread was nothing fantastic, a toasted French roll with some garlic butter, but not bad at all. Fountain drinks come with one free refill and service was attentive. The place is a bit divey, which wasn’t a big issue for me. Everything is served on paper plates with flimsy plastic-wear but don’t let that discourage you. For a quick bite on the island, I’d definitely do Antonio’s again.

We ordered the sourdough garlic cheese bread and a «kick ass veggie pizza». The sourdough garlic cheese bread was about $ 6, so we thought it’d work as a small appetizer. When it came, we were glad to see we’ll have enough for breakfast tomorrow because it was the size of a small cheese pizza. It was also delicious, so I would definitely recommend it. The kick ass veggie pizza has cilantro, red onions, black olives, mushrooms, jalapeños, and more. Each bite really kicks your ass! (Didn’t give 5 stars because the wait for the food took approximately half an hour. There were many to-go orders behind us that were placed before us.)

All I can speak to is the pizza here. If I was comparing it to the pizza I could have on the mainland, it would be a three star; however, a true reviewer must keep in mind how a place is relative. The reality is that you are on an island and options are limited, so standards must be dropped a bit. With this being the case, you get a free star! I loved the pepperoni pizza. It truly hits the spot when you have had a long day on the island and you are on your way back to the Catalina Express. The pizza comes out quick. The well cooked crust, with the gooey cheese and the crisp pepperoni is the best. Load it up with Parmesan cheese and red chilli flakes and you got a killer island pizza. As always, stay hungry my fellow Unilocalers!

This pizza was delicious! I got a slice of pepperoni after a day of ziplining. I would definitely go back for lunch and try some of the other items. The crust was crisp but the cheese and pepperoni was melted perfectly and a late afternoon savory delight. You order at the little window and pick up to the right. There is also waiter service if you want to dine in. The smell of pizza dough baking wafts throughout the street and beckons hungry tourists.
