Seaport Bistro

The turkey meatloaf and mashed potatoes were good. The seaport salad is great! The waiter was very nice.

We used our Unilocal check in to get our free Sangria. The Sangria doesn’t taste like Sangria. It tasted funny and I wish I can describe what it tastes like. Just don’t get it if you have to pay for it. I am afraid to order any other cocktails.
We ordered their baked sand dabs and it was great. The couscous tasted gross. It was extremely bland. We also ordered their seafood stew. It wasn’t bad, but we’ve had better.
The services wasn’t bad. But I just don’t feel this place gets more than 3 stars from us.

We went here only because it is at the place we are staying. Free sangria if you check in via Unilocal.Not a true sangria. Red wine with some chopped fruit. Small place. One of the better dinners we had while here. Think the all you can eat prime rib may be what brought people in. I had the eggplant and it was good. Along with the seaport salad that was also good. Good menu with food beyond what all the restaurants in town have. Worth the jaunt up the hill to get something different.

Simply amazing. Best that catalina has to offer. Free shuttle to resturant. A little oasis outside of main bars and resturant scene of catalina. Great people, food, and quiet ambience. Definitely a must for anyone visiting.

Exceeded out breakfast expectations! Went back twice for the Chicken and Bengium Waffles. The chicken was very well seasoned and bite size waffles were warm and fluffy.

I love this place. My family n friends eat here often. We love the awesome bread and the Caesar salad is great. Aaron makes great drinks every time. Must try the fried chicken! !! Letty is awesome and knows everything on the menu

This is Catalina’s hidden gem. Run by some of the alumni of Catalina restaurants. It recently moved to a brand new remodeled location away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Avalon. If you need a ride they are happy to shuttle you a quick 5 minutes to the restaurant. We got Shnitzel and a Pizza and it was to die for! It really tastes like some authentic mediterranean cuisine.
Staff has been wonderful every time, and they have the best bar tender in town.

Great food! Great drinks! Great service! Have been to this place numerous times and always had a brilliant time. A few of my favourites are the super amazing fried chicken (Sunday nights are all you can eat fried chicken)! The seafood lasagna has this delicious creamy saffron sauce which makes you want to lick the bowl! :-) and the sand dabs are caught fresh by the chef personally! My favourite dessert has to be the crème brûlée…perfectly creamy smooth vanilla goodness! Favourite drink is for sure the maple bacon manhattan which actually comes with a piece of bacon! AMAZING! I will continue to eat there time and time again!

After, my girlfriends and I saw the reviews on Unilocal,we thought this would be a great place to have dinner. We was wrong.
There was only 1 out of 5 dishes that was tasteful and worth paying for. It was the Lamb Tagine entrée and it came with a side of seaport salad. The meat was tender and delicious.
The crab and Lobster ravioli was bland. This dish was not finished.
The Lobster Lasagna was bland also. What a disappointment. The only thing that was good in this dish was the fresh lobster tail and shrimp. Everything else was not worth touching and was left unfinished.
Also, my girlfriend found hair in her Caesar salad, which made her loose her appetite.
They also charged us for water which we never received. So the waitress had to revised the receipt.
We sat outside and the only view you get is the pool side of people swimming and jumping in the pool of the hotel and you see people go in and out of the hotel balcony. Flies buzzing everywhere and will definitely land in your drinks. As it did for me, in my wine cup with wine in it.
Lastly, we do not recommend this place. Unless you enjoy bland food.

Haven’t been to the new location yet, but have been 4 times previously. Love the schnitzel with spaetzle! They give you fresh baked loaves of bread with your meal, which are so good. The crab/​lobster ravioli is huge, so only get it if you’re really hungry and fan of crab/​lobster. The tangine is a nice piece of lamb with a kick of spice. They do a decent burger too.

Loved this place! Called and made a reservation. It’s up a GIANT hill and it was super humid. They let us know there was a shuttle that would pick us up in the middle of town.
I had the Fried Chicken. Ya, I know, It’s what I always order! It didn’t disappoint. Came with Mashed potatoes and gravy. It was a half a chicken! That’s a huge portion.
Others in my party had the Turkey meatloaf, Ravioli and BBQ Ribs. They started with the Crab legs. And you get some yummy fresh baked bread.
All was really great. Loved the clean white décor. And the lights were super cool. It’s brand new. Our server was really helpful. And the wine prices were VERY reasonable.
Nice little patio where the kids played ping pong while we waited for our order. All in all, a great place to grab a bite.

We ate there a few times when it was at the Seaport Village Inn, and liked it a lot, now it’s moves to the Canyon hotel and we LOVED it. The décor is on point, with so many cool unique pieces to serve the food. We ate outside over looking the pool and it was perfect. They added a few new must haves on the menu, a seafood saffron lasagne. But most importantly the whole staff checks on you to insure your enjoying your experience. The bartender Gabe made AMAZING drinks and our server Christie was so attentive and sweet! We will most definitely be coming back!

The one star would be zero stars if I had my way. I cannot comment on the quality of the food because I made a reservation about two weeks before my 15^th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the person who took the reservation neglected to tell me that the restaurant would be closed the night I made my reservation! Suffice to say we will not be dining here ever again on our return to the island.
