This place no longer exists at this location. Very disappointing because they have some amazing cream puffs.

I’m a big fan of Beard Papa’s but this location didn’t impress me at all! The employee behind the counter was rude, impatient and difficult to understand. I asked him a simple question and he honestly could have cared less. Lots of attitude there, so as far as service is concerned that’s a 1 star. Tried the Mango Ice Shower and Éclair Puff. The pastry shell didn’t taste fresh. It was cold and old tasting. The custard filling was flavorful and creamy but warm, which made it unappealing. The best part of the cream puff was the chocolate topping. Overall, a bad representation of a Beard Papa’s cream puff. The Mango Ice Shower had gorgeous chunks of juicy and sweet mango. I could have eaten just a cup of that on its own. The shaved ice wasn’t the best. It was too chunky and hard. It would have been better fluffy and smooth. It was nice to see a Beard Papa’s in Aventura Mall, just wish their cream puffs tasted as good as the ones in NY or LA.

I was really disappointed. I expected the same quality as they sell in Japan. But Taste is different. Puffs are hard and small. Not delicious. I can’t believe that they are same shops. In addition, they raised the price. $ 3.49 each plus tax. We can buy $ 1.75 each in NY, 150JPY($ 1.89) in Japan. Why are they so expensive in Miami?

Update: They’ve got the cookie cream puffs! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try them here. Why? Because the guy behind the counter either completely messed up our order or must’ve given away our box entirely to another customer. I was majorly disappointed(there isn’t a BP in the DC area) when I opened the box and found all original cream puffs stuffed with all vanilla and one chocolate when we specifically asked for cookie cream puffs stuffed with all three fillings: vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Unfortunately, I don’t think either employee spoke or understood English well enough to get my order right. I am going to pass on stopping at this kiosk from now on. =(

Could this really be? As we were coming down the escalator, my boyfriend is jabbing me in the arm going«Look!!» Then I see it! Then My son sees it! Now we’re all very excited. How did I not know that there was a Beard Papa’s in S FL for the past year? My favorite cream puff store from NY is now in FL. We don’t bother with the flavored cream puffs cause we know the original is the best(or at least that’s how it is in NY) and we order 3.(They’re $ 3.26 each plus tax! Ouch! They’re $ 1.75 each in NY) They look the same, and they smell the same… First bite, we realize that it isn’t the same. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still good cream puffs but not as good as the ones in NY. The cream filling didn’t have the same light fluffy texture. Oh well… I’m stlll happy I can get my Beard Papa’s fix in FL. Couldn’t give 5 stars mainly because of the price and the filling.

Very yummy cream puffs made right in front of you. Too bad the puffs are frozen then baked. But delicious nonetheless. It is very light and airy and my favorite flavor is the vanilla.

What a crazy combination. I keep thinking back to this place, which must be good, so I’ll definitely go back. Just so you know, this is a tiny stand in the middle of Aventura Mall. When you are hungry and don’t want to stop in the food court or grab a pretzel and want just a snack, go here. They have two choices: pastries that are hand-filled with your choice of cream. You choose the pastry: a cream puff style or a donut ring type like a churro. And they stuff it with vanilla or chocolate custard. Pretty damn amazing for $ 3. The other odd choice for a food stand named Beard Papa’s: mochi ice cream. If you haven’t yet had the wonderful opportunity to try these at your local JAPANESE restaurant, you should. They are gummy bear type desserts about the size of a mushroom –but don’t associate them with this vegetable, they are complete opposites, and filled with ice cream, my favorite green tea. These are also about $ 3 and tasted just like in a traditional location restaurant, but not. Instead at Aventura mall. Strange but it totally worked.

What fits underneath the escalators at the Aventura Mall? Beard Papa’s fresh n’ natural cream puffs does! I have never heard of Beard Papa’s before, so I was not awaiting their arrival, but if I had known about them before I would have been; Their cream puffs are very tasty! When I approached the counter there were two people dressed in full bakers outfits filling pastry puffs with cream and handing them out. It was interesting to see one of the«crew members» was weighing the cream puffs after they were filled with the cream. I saw that there were different flavored fillings, but the only flavor that they were giving away was the original vanilla. Definitely something to try or get a box to take home. I look forward to seeing more reviews about this place.
