I just ordered delivery from this«restaurant» over a hour ago and it still hasn’t arrived yet! It’s not even a weekend, it’s Wednesday. I don’t even live 10 minutes away from this«restaurant» it’s totally unacceptable. All I have to say is my food better still be hot. Which I doubt it will be. … Never again.

Been coming to this place for years. New ownership young people running it places rundown. Dirty looking old outdated. Every dish that we had was laced with salt to the point where we just threw it out. But most importantly the place is so dirty that I can’t leave the health department hasn’t shut it down leaves on the floor tables not cleaned all of them counters dirty dishes chipped. Just disgusting!

It’s delivery Chinese so it is what it is. Not the worst Chinese I’ve had but not the best. I like their soup broth and their shrimp rolls can be tasty. It’s our go to when we want Chinese.

The lunch specials are pretty reasonably priced… $ 6 for Chicken & Broccoli with Rice and Soup. The service was quick. I waited less than 5 minutes for my food to be prepared. Overall the quality of the food was okay. Not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, but certainly not the worst. The portions are large, so 2 people can easily split a lunch special.

I work down the street from Chang-An and order take out for lunch at least once a week. For $ 5.85 it cannot be beat. The lunch specials, over 30 in all, all come with pork fried or white rice and soup. The food is uniformly good — I have been eating from here for over 10 years and have never had a problem. Staff is very friendly and food is ready lightning fast. It is not really a place for eat-in though there are some tables. No atmosphere. Best items I have had are chicken & broccoli, shrimp and mixed vegetables, and sesame chicken.

I always like to get fried chicken wings as well as the crab rangoon from Chinese restaurants, so I had to check this place out after shopping at Walmart and Big Y. I’ve been to this place plenty times before but wanted to see what the place was like now a days. Yet again, stale, overly fried chicken and crab rangoon. I use to hate going in there, because one of the chicks who worked there looked like she was going to jump over the counter and beat the crap out of you. This place would work better near bars, late night. It has that level of quality appealing to drunk people palettes.

This was the last time I will come here! I have been coming here for over 15 years and now I can see it is under new management. All I can say is I ordered the today’s special general Tao sesame chicken, and it was 90% chunks a breading… absolutely no chicken… I could not believe it. I was already home so I did not go back to get my money back, but I would have if closer. Don’t get me wrong, I know that they add breading, but every bite was crunchy with no chicken and what was added was dark meat… I will warn you… it has gone terribly down hill. Never again will I return

The quintessential gigantic menu take-out place. We have been take-out customers here for decades, and to be honest we have found some places with better quality food(Green Tea and Meadow come to mind quickly). But Chang An II is always solid and dependable, even if they aren’t the very best. Example– Chang An is located in a huge shopping plaza equidistant from the Big Y and Walmart, so after a Walmart run, or grocery shopping at Big Y(which happened today) and we found ourselves in the mood for Chinese food, it made our lunchtime destination very easy to agree on. It made perfect sense to order something here instead of driving extra miles out of our way. We ordered 2 of the reasonably priced lunch specials at $ 6 each. Our choices were Moo Goo Gai Pan and Chicken with Garlic. Each came with a choice of white, brown, or fried rice; and won ton or H&S Soup. H&S Soup has become my litmus test for Chinese restaurants– and this was a very decent version. Flavorful(not thin or watery) broth with quite a bit of shredded pork and tofu strips. The shrimp dish was very good, with a nice spicy sauce and a good number of smallish shrimps. We have never eaten a meal here. We have never ordered a delivery from here. But we have taken out lunch and dinner here dozens of times without an issue. The staff has always been nice and friendly to us and we have never had an order mishandled. And on a chilly day like today, the complimentary hot tea to sip while we waited was a very welcome touch.

This is quite possibly the worst Chinese food place in the Farmington River valley. The food just tastes terrible, borderline inedible. We went maybe 3 times before we knew we had to look elsewhere. If you stay away from one item in particular, make it the Egg Rolls.

I’ve eaten here twice and so far the best take on Chinese in the area. Good prices too.

If I could give a zero I would. Ordered food. 90 minutes later still no food. People at restaurant no help. Completely freaking useless. Even if it was tasty I will never order in from again. update: food was ok. May pick up being that is it one of the only chinese in the area, but for sure will never order delivery. Just not reliable.

I ordered as a pick-up for my lunch today. Got the lunch combo of boneless spareribs, white rice, and crab rangoon. They offer complementary soup with a lunch combo, so I opted for the wonton soup. The meal was great. The rangoon were fantastic — not overly onion-y, and perfectly creamy. It came with three. The spareribs were awesome — hardly any fat or oil in the sauce or on the ribs, just very meaty. The portion looked small, but considering I was actually able to eat all of the spareribs(no gristle or anything left over), it was a perfect amount. The rice was good. The soup was watery and I felt like there was a weird-tasting spice in the actual wonton. Hey, free soup is free soup, right? Overall, for a meal that cost me $ 5.38, it was pretty amazing. I will definitely come back again.
