This is a great store to shop if you’re looking for fabric, but that’s about all. I prefer Hobby Lobby or Michael’s for anything else craft related. There are never enough staff cutting fabric, so the line is forever long when I’m here. Store always seems to be busy and the coupons in Sunday’s paper is almost always useless; there are sale exclusions and coupons aren’t good on sale merchandise. Good as a last resort and if you want to wait in line for up to an hour on fabric.

This is the new store that moved from the end of the strip mall to a separate building close to the entrance off Rockville. I’m a huge JoAnn Fabric store lover and have been forever. The store has everything from crafts, fabrics, baking items, paint, children’s projects, beading, and seasonal items. Their sales are terrific and seasonal items always go on sale well before the upcoming holiday. One word of advice is go as early as you can before holiday crowd shoppers arrives. I’m been three different times during what is usually the dead DAYTIME hours and stood in the Fabric Cutting Table line the first time for least 15 minutes(not bad) and the last visit I just gave up. The line was so deep that I knew I’d run out of time. Everyone is purchasing fabric for Halloween costumes. However the sale items throughout the store made the trip well worth the drive. The Avon store is either much busier or the Ditch Road store has more staffing since I seem to get in and out of their faster. Regardless, go, have fun, and pick out a project or decorations.

Selection is not as good as it used to be but still the best place to go for scrapbooking supplies.
