Great cold day of skiing and what better than a hot bowl of phở to warm you up? Of course, it’s way overpriced($ 8.50 for a small noodle bowl is a criminal), but it’s expected. Service could be better as well, but Asian restaurants are not known for their good services, so we were ok with that. Great to have a phở place in Avon.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We ordered our food pretty quickly after we sat down and then we just waited and waited and waited… The waitress never once looked at us or even acknowledged we haven’t received our food after 20 minutes of waiting. Finally, the one of the waiters(not our waitress) came over and asked if we ordered. We told him yes, he apologized and then said our order wasn’t in the computer. We gave him our order again and asked if we could be comped for waiting so long and he shrugged and said, «we’ll see». We then waited for another 15 minutes… And nothing… This may not seem like a long time, but it is for a phở place. We watched other tables receive their food within 5 – 10 minutes, tops. We were hungry and tired of waiting. As we walked out, another waitress(not ours) said«sorry»… By the reviews I’ve read about this place, I am happy we chose to eat at a more sanitary restaurant.

Call the health inspector! Came here for some hot phở after a day of skiing and was very disappointed. My broth came out bloody so I sent it back, and the waitress was extremely rude. She claimed that their broth is normally bloody until the liquid settles. I’ve eaten phở at a lot of restaurants and never seen bloody broth. Sorry, we won’t be coming back here EVER — so disgusting and dangerously unhealthy. Bad quality food is one thing, but compound the experience with poor customer service and the other diners around us were also made to feel very uncomfortable. Instead of attempting to rectify the situation, the waitress dumped my soup into the bin and walked away in a huff. We won’t ever be coming back here.

Had phở for first time. Very nice after a long day. Decent service beer and wine. Rangoons were as expected. Everyone loves the phở. Even the kids. We all brought some home couldn’t finish. Ordered small size as Unilocal advised.

It’s a ski season, cold outside and nothing feels better that a hot bowl of soup so get warmed up with one of the best Phở’s in this cute little Vietnamese restaurant. It is always full at night with people waiting for a table. Now we know why! Absolutely delicious hot soups! Fast and friendly service. A must try if you are in Avon or Beaver Creek.

The one star review is for professionalism, as I never got to taste the food. I am sick, and the only thing that makes me feel better is phở, so I came to Avon from Edwards based on the hours shown, and the great reviews. I showed up at 12:30 and all lights were off, door was locked, and nobody would answer the phone. There was no sign on the door, and several customers were waiting. Having had great phở at Phở Bay 2 in Frisco yesterday, I won’t return to this location. It’s worth the drive.

Great soup. Fast service. Fresh veggies. Standard restaurant atmosphere. You will leave here full. Perfect place to eat after the slopes without feeling guilty about calories.

The vegetarian phở what delicious. Lots of veggies and tofu were included. My boyfriend got the phở ga and was really impressed with it as well. We also got the tofu spring rolls and they rolls were good. I’m not big on peanut sauce so I didn’t use much of it but it tasted good. Prices were reasonable. I highly recomend this place.

What the hell, Avon. How do you have such good eats? This phở is tasty. The broth isn’t greasy, it’s nice and savory(Southern style), could be a touch more layered but I’m not gonna complain. The meat is tender and rich. The spring rolls are satisfying — shrimp are springy and fresh, pork is marinated and full of tongue lapping flavor. Service is a little slow because there usually are only one or two people working the floor. But they are friendly as all get out. Dining room is modest, clean, casual. They serve beer and wine — they even have some microbrews(and coors) on tap. Who knew Avon had such awesome, no-frills restaurants? I hope the people ’round here keep them in business.

A reasonably priced, delicious food establishment in Avon?! Say it ain’t so! This is phở-king awesome!(those that know how ‘phở’ it’s really pronounced will get this) For $ 8.50 you get a ‘small’ bowl of phở. By small, I mean I still didn’t finish even close to ¾’s. Can’t even imagine one human being eating the next size up! I had the meatball option, because I knew it would be cooked all the way(I usually get rare beef, but only from places I know and trust). The soup comes with all the normal fix’ns of thai basil, kaffir lime, sprouts, sriracha, plum sauce, soy sauce, and hot sauce. I use all of these items typically to perfect my soup. Both my friend and I ordered boba. Taro root is favorite of mine, didn’t even glance at the other options. For those that have never had taro, I think it tastes like caramel popcorn. No small or large boba option here. Just large, with large straws. I always consider a boba as dessert. One that I can continue to sip on in the car after dinner. If you want beer… you’ve hit the Asian continent beer jackpot. China, Thailand, Vietnam, etc are represented. Plus, you can have an American cider beer if that’s more your speed. Really glad to see a place like this in the valley. Keep up the phở-king great work, 20!

Wow — I was introduced to PHO in SF Bay Area, with a strong Vietnamese tradition. This is a long way from the coast but remarkably, their Chicken and Vegan Phở(soup) are excellent and delicious. Love the rice noodles and bean sprouts with spices. And, the price is right. Thank you for bringing healthy food to our Vail Valley and Avon, CO.

I had a Phở craving while vacationing but I wouldn’t have imagined finding a location several hours west of Denver. The location of the place was unusual — located on the lower floor of a hotel with access directly from the parking lot. I ordered the rare beef phở and was totally satisfied with the flavor, quality and portion of the phở. Price wasn’t out of line considering the location of the place. The waiters were friendly and efficient. If you’re going solo there’s a bar that contain flat screens and serve beer & wine. Overall, I ended up satisfied and would definitely recomend this joint for your phở fix.

Vietnamese eggrolls were in wonton wrappers, not a fan. Rare steak phở was tasty, generous portion of meat and homemade broth. Packaged hot mustard, duck sauce etc. Great service though, very nice staff.

Based on other reviews, we chose to stop here on our way to Glenwood Springs. We were pleasantly surprised! Ordered the Vietnamese coffee(it was the most authentic we have had in a while) Ordered the spring rolls(it was a pleasant surprise to see their variation on spring rolls included grilled pork along with the shrimp. It gave the spring rolls the robust full flavor) We both ordered the small phở with flank, steak, and brisket(the bowl was packed with meat and the veggies that came on the side was fresh. The broth itself was good but not amazing) Everything from service to portions and how everything else tasted was excellent.

We love Vietnamese food and knew at some point on our vacation we would have to try this place. They didn’t disappoint! The spring rolls were a nice size and very fresh. I ordered the shrimp phở. It came out hot! The veggies were fresh and flavorful. The phở itself wasn’t as flavorful as I’ve had at other places, but still hit the spot. Service was good. The two people that were serving were both very attentive to all the tables. Definitely would make a return visit when back in the area!

After a long day on the mountain, nothing is better than a big bowl of noodles. I ordered the chicken phở. For ten dollars considering the surrounding mountain prices it was perfect. The broth had a lot of flavor and a decent amount of meat. I even had to take the remainder home!

You get a bigass portion of Phở for the money, and the herbs and veg that come with are fresh enough. The spring rolls and eggrolls here are aight– not mindblowing, but certainly edible. The broth is not by means a sparkling, multi-layered concoction of authentic deliciousness, but if you have Phở-shaped hole in your heart, this place is the only game in town and has the ability to temporarily plug it. Props for having to-go orders ready when they say they will be.

If you’re looking for a hot bowl of noodles after a day of skiing, this place is great. Nothing flashy but very delicious. I had the brisket and flank steak phở — it was excellent. The spring rolls were too fried for my taste, but the soup made up for it. Great option in the Vail /Beaver Creek area if you’re not in the mood for fancy and have already had Pazzo’s.

Pretty average Phở here compared even to the places in Denver. The broth was watered-down, weak and one-note. On the plus side, it’s pretty affordable compared to many local options, and it’s a nice warm soup on a likely cold day. We had the seafood phở as well as the rare steak /flank /brisket combo phở. Portion size was decent(it’s phở, after all…) but our biggest complaint was the broth. They used the same broth for both bowls, which tells me they’re not putting a ton of effort into it back in the kitchen. If you’re really craving phở, you won’t hate it, just go into it expecting not to be wowed. If you’re looking for a great meal… this isn’t it.
