Stars of Avon Bridal

I had a terrible experience at Stars and would tell anyone to find another bridal shop that truly works with their clients and cares that their clients are happy. Their upfront policy requiring full payment with no refund, should make you pause. I ordered a dress for my daughter’s wedding which was ordered, based on what I was told, my measurements. The dress came in and looked like a huge bag on me (charged an extra amount for more material!) and then they wanted to charge me to alter the dress to remove much of the extra material added. I was swimming in the dress. To say the dress looked horrendous is an understatement. I was so upset I told them to forget the alterations and asked the owner Karen to provide a partial refund of half the cost of my $ 900+ dress. Karen was anything but nice or agreeable and basically told me there are no refunds and too bad! I did tell her I’d be reviewing her business so she was well aware that this review was coming! She basically said that reviewing her business was harassment and warned me against doing a review as she’d take legal action. She’s an absolute bully and horrible business woman. I went to Nordstroms, picked up a gorgeous gown for ¹⁄₃ the price and looked smashing at my daughter’s wedding. Another reviewer said to go naked versus buying at Stars, I’d second that opinion.
