Went in for highlights and trim. Deirdre was my stylist and she gave me an average cut with mousy highlights. I thought that perhaps she would try to match my highlights and color — blonde but definitely not bleach blonde. I ended up with all-​over highlights that did not cover the prior roots and an average cut with bangs shorter than I requested. I mulled over my less than satisfactory results for two weeks. Then I called and said I was not happy with the color. I have never asked for a correction on a hair job! So, I got booked for the next evening. I went in, same Deirdre — explained why I was unhappy and pointed out that the highlights that she gave me did not come up as much as the prior ones and left my roots looking old and grown out. She proceeded to bleach my hair beyond anything I’ve ever seen, pull my hair as she washed and combed it out so recklessly that I cringed and nearly cried out, and to dry my hair so long that I became certain she was out for revenge. I should have said something, but I just wanted to get away from her. The look on the receptionist’s face was confirmation enough — Deirdre had turned me into a bleach blonde! No subtlety, and an unveiled threat about being honest from Deirdre. I am so furious! I warn anyone from getting their hair cut or colored by Deirdre and I feel sorry for the women that work with her who have to put up with her passive aggressive behavior. Never again!

I came in to have my hair trimmed and it took the girl almost 2 hours. It looked exactly the same as when I came in but an inch or so shorter. They had the nerve to charge $ 65.00 for a hair trim with no wash, blowdry or style! I could’ve gone to Cost Cutters for this outcome. Ridiculous salon… even the hairdressers hair look awful!

My mom, good friends, and I have all been loyal customers here for years and years. It’s exactly what you’d want in an upscale salon… weird artwork, an owner in leather pants, fresh coffee, and fun, bubbly stylists who make you feel and look like a million bucks. They are excellent about recommending the right person for what you want done and are happy to give you extra time if want something changed. They are slightly more expensive than I would prefer on my shoestring budget and it can be difficult to get an appointment on short notice. However, I’ve had such good luck here over the years that I cringe at the idea of going anywhere else.
