I’ve been a Unilocal member for a few years and have yet posted any reviews. Sure, I’ve been to many nice places and had some good dining experiences here and there. But just haven’t really thought about actually spending the time to write a review. That is untill today. Anyone that lives or are familiar to the city of Azusa will know that there aren’t that many places to eat that you can really rave about. On days that I don’t feel like traveling too far to grab some decent food, just about anything will do. Yes, that includes Panda Express. Yet, on this particular afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised with what I discovered. Located just a block away from where I live and two stores down from the only Thai restaurant I go to in the area, I saw the store sign and it’s large banner hanging on top. In fact, I was originally intending to go to the Thai food for dinner. But the non-stop crowd gathering both inside and the outer seating area of Café Cola immediately caught my attention. Out of curiosity, I decided to walk by and take a peak to see what the hype is. Mind you, this is all before I even stumbled into this Unilocal review page. The smell, the sound, and the visual imageries all are telling me to at the least walk in. The small yet functional dining area were packed with many food fanatics alike. Their share joy of expressions were all that I needed to be convinced and decided to give it a try. The owner, Roni, was there at the counter to greet me. He recommended the slider combo in which I can customize to my liking. As others have mentioned, the wait may be a little longer than most would desired for, but yes it is well worth it. The burger was simply irresistible. The fact the meat is non-frozen made all the difference. The chef prepared right in front of your eyes and the food taste as amazing as it smells. I am not a big hamburger fan, but that slider that I had could possibly be the best I’ve ever had. Undoubtedly, the food gets a well deserved five stars. As for the service… well let’s just say you probably won’t get a better customer service than you do here. Roni knows how to treat his customers and he does it in so many ways that all others here have already experienced. It’s apparent that he really understands the value of customer service and what’s even more impressive is how he does it without trying so hard. or making you feel uncomfortable. When you’re there, you feel relaxed and you feel like you’re home having satisfying food with your buddy. And it is for these reasons that I think is what making this place a success so far. It’s the quality of the food they serve that wins your taste bud. It is the quality of their service that makes you feel like you’re welcome here. And so I think it is only appropriate for my first review post goes to a place that make great foods and treat all the customers like his friends. Café Cola should get all the supports and I’m sure they will win more hearts and stomachs as time goes by. Keep up the good work!

There isn’t too much to add to all of the glowing reviews here except that it makes you think: Is this place really legit… The place is located as far up in Azusa as I care to go before going up into the canyons so it’s pretty secluded. It’s a HITW for sure… For me the service was polite and there was no rudeness or arrogance from anyone to ruin anything so we’re ok there. In fact, the owner was very nice and engaging; he came out to ask if everything was alright and we assured him that the food tasted terrific. I shared with him that I liked the burgers at the Congregation Ale House down the road and he even said that they were pretty good. I’ve got this to say: he pays attention to what is being said about his place… Being a place where the burgers are highly customizable , I went with the less is more approach and kept it simple. I had a Quarter Pound Slider with gorgonzola, mushrooms, and A1 sauce . It’s bigger than a typical slider, but smaller than a gourmet third pounder, but I’m ok with that since it came out moist, plump, and delicious. The sesame bun was the perfect size and accompaniment for the patty. CC is generous with their condiments as I asked for a couple of sliced pickles on the side… My better half had the much heralded ribeye Cheesesteak which I had a bite of and agreed that it was as good as advertised, a generous portion on a toasty bun . The Seasoned Fries aren’t really fries but dollar-coin sized half-moons which were tasty but didn’t translate to fries too well texture-wise . There is something to the willowy, long shape of a fry that I expected, but the taste was fine… When they call themselves Café Cola I guess it means that you can have a Coke, Sprite, or bottled water; I’m sure that they offered more choices than that, but not too much more; I had a can of Coke… The kitchen takes a while to finish making the food but that’s because they make everything to order. We knew this in advance so that helped to manage our expectations as well… So if you don’t mind coming to a HITW for good food at a reasonable cost and don’t mind the wait for your food then this place is for you. I don’t find myself frequenting this place too often, mostly because it’s a little remote and out of the way from everything else…

They are still there and now I also enjoy the chicken sandwich, with fresh Foster Farms and whatever sauce you want on it. The underdog, is still doing well. Café Cola. Ah, I’ve had this place bookmarked for quite awhile. I’m happy to report that it’s definitely up there as far as hamburgers and fries goes. =) Their fries are thin freshly sliced potato wedges seasoned with seasoned salt. It’s got a great chew to it. I could go on forever praising its loveliness. I opted for the Rubie slider — basically a quarter pound hamburger with bacon, swiss cheese, and mushrooms. It came with bbq sauce. One bite and I was a believer of this place. The sauce is AM-may-zing and all the ingredients went very well with one another. The bread is nicely toasted… super neat. I think the only thing that’s really stopping me from a 5 is the wish that it came medium rare. But, that means I’ll have to come back! Space is super limited — 15 seats? It does take some time for orders to complete — 10 or so minutes because they make everything fresh, so it may be a good idea to call and order beforehand to avoid the wait.

I feel like this place is a house of cards about to collapse. I“ve never been around so many Unilocalers in my life – there was no event to my knowledge. Virtually every person next to me was a Unilocal Elite. Crazy. I waited 45 minutes for my food and I found the cheesesteaks unremarkable and the meat incredibly tough. But the sliders were a piece of heaven. I have not had such amazing sliders in my life. Why a house of cards? The service – the owner bends over backwards but man the exorbitant wait is gonna be a tough losing battle.

LOVELOVELOVECAFECOLA!!! Decided to check this place out with my sister and sweet jeebus we fell in love with this place. It’s a really small restaurant with limited seatings but things like that doesn’t bother me at all. We ordered our food but the wait was a bit long which was understandable because they only have one fryer and griddle. But the food made it all worth it!!! My sister and I both ordered the Rubie slider which had bbq sauce, bacon and swiss cheese and it was superb! Perfectly sized for a great price. I also ordered the zombie fries which were hands down the best fries that I’ve ever had! It’s seasoned disc fries with whatever toppings you’d like to add and it’s at a set price. I ordered it with bacon, caramelized onions, mushrooms, cheddar and jack cheese, and thousand island dressing. They definitely didn’t skimp out on any of the toppings! As I’m writing this review at 2am I’m seriously craving for some! What I really love about Café Cola is that their ingredients are always fresh. Nothing is frozen or microwaved. Yet their prices are cheap! Altogether the bill came up to only $ 15! Oh man… the customer service. One of the best customer service that I’ve ever had! The owner, Rommel is super chill and down to earth. I checked-in to Café Cola’s Unilocal to get an order of free fries and a drink but Rommel gave my sister a canned soda as well free of charge! He even told us to let him know if we wanted more soda! I said no because one, I’m not much of a soda drinker. And two, I didn’t want them to lose profit because I want this place to stay! I also found out that it’s relatively new as it was established just in the beginning of this year. After eating I had a nice chit-chat with Rommel and he tries his best to remember everyone’s names :) So If you happen to be in the Azusa area, give Café Cola a try! I promise you that you wont be disappointed. Come support this gem of a small business and they’ll serve you with awesome food :)

Clearly these amazing cousins are doing something right, since it’s been quite a few days since my visit here and I cannot stop raving about the food, the owners, the kids, the fries, everything! This is a GEM!!! My new favorite place to eat, and such a great addition to the area! Walk in and it has a very homey feel. You know it’s a place run with love and passion, and a LOT of man-hours! They have one grill, and they make everything to order. NOTHING is frozen or microwaved, meaning SH*T is DAMNGOOD!!! Amazing vibe. Owner welcomed us as friends welcome each other into their homes, and not only gave us the free fries and a drink you get from checking in on Unilocal, but also free drinks for everyone at our table. And everyone in the restaurant. YES, free drinks. and second drinks. and just about anything you could possibly need. He knew the limits of the size of his grill, and how many eager hungry customers were in line, and he apologized for how long he knew the wait might be. Honestly, was not that bad at all for freshly made food, hot off the grill. Our favorites were: –Zombie fries: «Best fries of my life» — their version of animal fries, but made to order how YOU want. Add ANYTHING! And there is no additional charge or limit on the number of add ins, so go wild! We opted for: colby jack cheese, cheddar, bacon, mayo, and sriracha, and it was AMAZINNNNNNNNNG. like, TODIEFOR. –rubie burger, custom burger, all burgers — nice sized patty, not so big you cant eat the fries too. great seasoning. ability to add as much as you want for NO additional charge, big plus. –Regular fries: its real potatoes, cut and fried, but they taste healthy. Not like regular fries, but if somewhere were to take me away from my beloved McDs(dont hate, it’s a childhood love), it would be these fries!!! To feed 5 hungry kids, with fries, zombie fries, burgers and our free drinks the bill was only $ 23! Talk about a steal! This place means business, and they don’t rip off their customers even when they easily could. We were all so impressed, we ordered a second round of food to go as our midnight snack, and the owner, again apologizing for the wait was kind enough to comp us our meal. If that isnt genuine love and passion in what you do and who you serve, I don’t know what is. Needless to say, he’s won us all over and we will be running back! Also, his«minions» are just about the cutest addition to a restaurant I’ve ever seen. Love them! Love that they love the business, and their neighborhood. Bottom line: come here, and leave full, content, and happy about life! It truly does not get any better than this!

This place is Really a good, hole in the wall, small shop that everyone should try if you’re in this part of the area. The owner is personally a nice guy and tries his very best to get the order that you want and just has that genuine feel wanting you to be there. The Zombie Fries are awesome. The Cheesesteak is awesome. It is very oily and i think the only problem is the time to wait. I’ve only gone in the noon time where we went there 5 minutes late and there was a good 30 minutes wait for food. That is the only lingering thing. BUT i can personally say it is worth the way. The awkward thing is that the soda’s are unlimited as long as you are there. I say this in this way is because its not by fountain, but by the can. So as long as you’re eating there, you can keep asking for canned soda. It was uncomfortable for the first time. I think i can get used to it. I would like to thank the Owner and Cook for being so nice to me.

Addicted. Send for help. I’ve been here about 9 times since my first visit in April, and I would like to share some of my thoughts about this place. — I like that they hand-cut their fries as they are ordered. They wouldn’t taste the same if they were pre-cut and stored in the refrigerator. — I can live with the time it takes for them to make my food. It assures me that my food is absolutely fresh and made-to-order. I always call my order in and it’s ready when I get there. — I’m blown away by the fact that the owner remembers my name and and drink order, even though I know he must have 1,000’s of customers. I always feel like a welcome friend whenever I go. Yes, the place and the parking lot is small. Yes, the food takes time to make. However, I would hate for them to change their business model just to satisfy the naysayers and the lowest common denominators. To use a movie analogy, Café Cola is «Citizen Kane» and your typical fast food burger joint is «Pootie Tang». Keep up the great work!

I was a little hesitant to try café cola… great cheese steaks? In SoCal? Thank you Michael W. for letting me know of its existence. So I have eaten A LOT of cheese steaks in the past couple of years bc my husband is in dirty jersey. I have been to all the famous cheese steak joints like genos, pats, among dozens of others in NY/NJ/Philly. What makes a good cheese steak is the quality of meat, and the type of bread and cheese used. I am a total stuck up princess when it comes to my cheese steak and I can tell you without any reservations café colas was the best I have ever had! Better than anything the east coast has served up. Before ya’ll crucify me, let me explain. SOMETHING was always lacking in my past relationships with cheese steak! If the meat was good, the cheese was nasty… if the bread was amazing, the meat was sub par… I never felt fully satisfied with the overall cheese steak. Until of course café cola… for details, read on! I ordered the cheese steak with onions, mushrooms, and provolone. The wait was long but I knew it would be because he was making it fresh. One Unilocaler has suggested making some of the food ahead of time, and I implore café cola to not listen to said Unilocaler. I will gladly wait an hour for a fresh meal done right! Anyway, the meat was seasoned to perfection, Café cola uses an amazing rib eye! The bread complimented the meat perfectly(not too thin and not too doughy), it is baked fresh by portos bakery! The onions added a little bit of sweetness which complimented the provolone. Obviously, I tore it apart within minutes and I think I may have burned my mouth but I didn’t care. Just. Plain. Deliciousness. All up in my burned mouth. I had read a lot about the amazing fries but I don’t like a bunch of stuff on my potatoes so I couldn’t decide what to get. I asked the owner to give me whatever he wanted. He gave me the fries free of charge bc it was my first time trying it! It had onions, cheddar, a little bit of ketchup, and peppers. Everything was proportional, no topping over done! The fries were SOOO inexplicably amazing. I think I loved the fries just as much as the cheese steak! I am ADDICTED to coke(cola, haha) so he threw in a couple of cans(also) free of charge. A perfect end to an awesome meal… not to mention it cooled my poor burned tongue. I think I am going to try the burger next time I go. Or maybe I will take someone with me and force a cheese steak upon them so i can enjoy the best of both worlds. Just go to café cola… be patient… talk to the amazing owner… and enjoy life! That’s what its all about, right? Note to Romel: stop giving things away for free! I will be just plain angry if you go out of business!!! And you were right, it isn’t a Philly cheese steak, it’s much better :)

I LOVE this place! Everything about it. The FOOD, atmosphere(everyone is soo nice) their dog zombie, Romel and Adiss awesome dudes. The food is pretty amazing! I’m all about the zombie fries and chicken sandwich. I’ve Tried pretty much everything on the menu: the sliders, the cheesesteak, the breakfast sandwich all of it! all really good. like everyone else mentioned, you are the boss of what you put on your your food. They have plenty of toppings to choose from. My usual zombie fries order consists of: Swiss, gorgonzola, caramelized onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, bacon, sriracha, and ranch. sooo good! so everyone needs to give this place a try! I will be seeing you guys again really soon!

This place NEVER disappoints me! On my second visit I was feeling«risky» so I decided to order my cheese steak with everything, except for jalapeños. People stared at me, but I didn’t really care, I was curious about my «experiment» and yes here it was: It tasted delicious!!! all the flavors mixed made a great combo. Of course I didn’t finish it, I would say I ate 1⁄3 of it. Romel(the owner) is great, he takes care of each and everyone of his customers. Maybe you have to wait a little bit, but it’s totally worth it, they really fulfill their promise: no freezers no microwaves and you can taste it. My only complain is that this place is too far for me! :( Hope they open one in OC, soon :)

Came here tonight with the boyfriend for the first time after having this place bookmarked for over a month. As full as we were, our conversation home was about when the next trip back to café Cola would be. We came here for the hunt to try this infamous Zombie fries and Cheesesteak. The Zombie fries, to my surprise, is actually a choose-your-own-topping kind of order. Following the delicious picture of Charlene C., the boyfriend and I ordered it with cheddar and pepper jack cheese with bacon, mushrooms, and 1000 Island dressing instead of Ketchup. It was heavenly. This goes so far as to winning loaded fries compare to In-N-Out and even Spitz in DTLA. The Cheesesteak was the best I’ve ever had. Stuffed with tons of meat and chopped onions, one order filled both my boyfriend and I up. There was a check-in deal for a free side of fries and soda. I asked the owner if I could upgrade the side fries to the Zombie fries, because that’s what they’re popular for, with the expectation of paying the difference but the owner was nice enough to give me the Zombie fries for free! WE also got two cans of soda, one for me and one for the boyfriend, no extra charge. Seriously, a CHEAP meal. The décor is cute, mainly red, with about 4 tables and a counter. It’s located in a plaza on the corner but it wasn’t too hard to find. Menu is printed on the wall as well as on the table of the counter where you order. You are also welcome to make your own sandwich. They have lots of toppings to choose from and the fries are cut in half circles. Normally I don’t like fat fries, but these fries were addicting. But wait, there’s more!!! This joint really does deserve its five stars and then some. We were chatting with the owner while our food was being cooked. All you Unilocalers should do the same! The generosity of the owner is unbelievable. How many food places do you know feeds the homeless people for free? The owner is pretty damn cool! He doesn’t care about making money, I mean we got 2 sodas, Zombie fries, and a huge cheesesteak sandwich for less than $ 8. The owner is out to give back to the community and help feed all those who can’t feed themselves. That deserves some crazy Unilocal recognition, I would say. Love what the owner’s genuine intentions are with this place. Boyfriend and I will be returning to try the chicken sandwich soon and be bringing the friends! P. S. It’s named Zombie fries after the owner’s dog, Zombie.

It figures! In all the years I lived in the Glendora/Azusa area I was always looking for a spot for cheap, delicious burgers. Now that I’ve moved from this part of the 626, Café Cola opens. Figures. Located in Azusa, Café Cola is a tiny restaurant that seats maybe 15 people in its dining room, which is painted red and decorated with Coca Cola paraphernalia. The menu is simple. Quarter pound sliders, cheese steaks, chicken sandwiches, a breakfast sandwich and fries are all you’ll find at Café Cola. The cool thing is you can customize any sandwich you order. Since I’m never in this part of town anymore, when I visited Café Cola I wanted to go big. This is all I ordered from Café Cola; Cheese Steak(customized) — Steak, BACON, provolone & cheese whiz, grilled onions, sun dried tomatoes, banana peppers, mushrooms, pickles, guacamole, jalapenos, mayo & Srirachi hot sauce Deeemski Slider– Muenster cheese, caramelized onions, hoisin sauce & teriyaki sauce Buffalo Vik Slider– Cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions & Srirachi Humble Sohl Slider– Colby cheese, pickles & thousand island Zombie Fries(customized) — Cheddar & Muenster cheese, bacon, grilled onions, pickles & banana peppers So, the cheese steak was my favorite of all the food I tired. The meat was juicy and flavorful and all the toppings made each bite insanely flavorful. My only complaint was they forgot the guacamole on my sandwich and I had to wait five minutes before they could bring it out to me(they had a line). The quarter pound patties on the sliders were great. Each one was juicy, seasoned well and cooked to a perfect med-rare. The Deeemski and the Humble were both wonderful but the Buffalo Vik was a letdown. They hardly put any toppings or sauce on this slider. It was more like a plain cheese slider than anything. I only got one small piece of bacon, no grilled onions and less than a teaspoon of Srirachi. The Zombie fries were a home run. I love that their fries are like thinly sliced potato wedges. And they weren’t stingy with the toppings on these fries. Prices here are CHEAP. For all that food, plus two canned sodas, I paid about 21 bucks, which was a steal. Since this place is so small and since they only have one grill, the wait time to get your food can be crazy long. If they’re busy be prepared to wait over 25 min. When we went we had to wait almost 20 min for our order and there was only one party ahead of us when we ordered. Overall, I’d say I’m a huge fan of this place. Whenever I’m in the area I’m definitely going to visit Café Cola again. Check it out if you live in or around the 626.

My review isn’t really any different from all the other 5-star reviews. Everything they said were definitely true as I’ve witnessed it tonight. This place is definitely one-of-a-kind and just plain FANTABULOUS! What else can I really say? It’s just FANTABULOUS. People at Café Cola are so nice. There really isn’t any other way to describe it, you’ll just have to experience it yourself. Make an effort to get to know all the guys in the place, I have yet to learn most of their names, but it’s just such a bubbly feeling to know the people that cook for you. I mean, how often do you really get to know your local eatery(and I don’t mean just their menu). So, we ordered a cheesesteak with everything plus cheez whiz, a Jivani/sunshine slider(Romel says it’s like sunshine because it doesn’t have bacon and such lol), and Zombie Fries(seasoned half-disc-shaped potatoes, cheez whiz, pepper jack, grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, bacon, and sun dried tomatoes) that was on the house. Oh, and it’s true, toppings are at no extra cost! Everything was made to order and tasted extremely good, it’s the college food I’ve never had! The cheesesteak was a bit odd since it was a bit sweet, but with all the fun we had with the people there, the food was only a plus. The place is small, but there’s definitely enough space, 4– 2 seater tables and 2 bar stools. There’s no restrooms for the public, but there is hand sanitizer at the counter. Also, they will soon have a fountain drink machine after they fix it, so canned drinks it is for now. I really have to declare that Café Cola gave me the best eating experience EVERR! =]

I came here with some Unilocal Buddies and I think we’re all pretty picky people with different preferences, but we all left pleased by this place :) Customers here are immediately greeted and welcomed. The owner, Romel, and the workers have a friendly smile on their faces, giving this small restaurant a homely atmosphere. The owner even remembers his customer’s names. Major props! The food is amazing. It is freshly made to order and completely customized to your preference. I really like how you pay a flat rate for your food without getting changed 50cents per topping you want like some places. When I came here I ordered the ZOMBIEFRIES :) with swiss, pepperjack, provolone, caramelized onions, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and honey mustard!(yeahhh im a fatty)!! It was SOOOOGOOOODDDD!!! It’s basically all the ingredients I liked on beautifully sliced fries *droolz* Some of the other Unilocalers got the cheesesteak and that looked hella good too. I will definitely be coming back to try that: D My ONLY complaint about this place would be the fact that they area bit small. I can see them flourish as a larger business, but they’re still great as they are now. I remember he was saying he was making renovations and stuff, so it shows that he is just trying to perfect his business before he expands and stuff. I am looking forward to seeing them grow as a business :)

Summary: — Service — exceptional… Romel, you’re freaking awesome — Food — tongue-gasmic, mental overdrive — Price — cheap enough to binge; just BINGE and workout later — Ambiance — tiny & hip «We came, we ate, we… erm…became fans?» ******* I feel… like I have this absurd writer’s block as I stare at the final analysis question in a masters program final. It probably begins with the fact — especially among my circle of friends — that I’ve been bashing gourmet burgers, sliders, hotdogs, and fries… as secondary — if not bottom dwelling — citizens in the cuisine world. Well, the view is stemmed in the belief that anyone can make a burger… add all kinds of crap onto it, pass it off as a proper meal, and receive NO complaints. [aka: too easy to make with most work done by the griddle/grill/or some processing machine — think McDonalds] So why the writer’s block? My view just got steam-rolled by this establishment and I have to temporarily hide from my circle of friends while I try to completely chew through this ‘foot in my mouth’. ******* SERVICE: Romel, the owner, is Ritz quality. He remembers your name if you introduce yourself to him… by the first or second try. Can you name another place at this price that even practices this or actually CAPABLE of doing this? How about a place that charges a lot of money? Nuff’said. ******* FOOD: I would actually place a lot of money on the table to BET that if they replicated the taste and quality of their food on a truck… and traveled around with an active Tweeter account and constantly updated Facebook page [or even without these but have a way to let people know where they are]…they’d make a TRAILERLOAD of money. Why??? Simple, their food is ABSOFREAKINGBLOODYLUTELYBRILLIANT! ORDERED: — Buffalo Vik [ — the familiar kick from sriracha, sweetness from the onions, romantic flavors of bacon, sharpness of the cheddar, on a perfect — slight hint of pink — fresh burger patty was UNBELIEVABLY amazing. My eyes were rolling and I groaned quietly — like I just lost the bet of a lifetime — from simply being blown away by a $ 2.95 slider… — Deeemski [ — this SEALED the deal for me. It was like a last minute sales pitch hustle on the biggest deal of the year… and it sent my mind into OVERDRIVE. Simple but so brilliant in flavors that I would have pissed my pants IF not for the ultimate self-restraint. W-T-F. Literally sweet-brilliant-forget the rest of the world GOOD. [I actually stopped listening to all the conversations for half of the burger… like my brain just stopped processing everything else to concentrate on the flavors…] STOLE: — Most of Charlene C.‘s zombie fries [ . It started with a BITE… that continued till the rest of the fries disappeared. What kept me going was the unique flavor of the fries… the mixture of spices and the sweetness at the same time was… a WOW. ******* Michael W. — Thank YOU for introducing me to this place. Now I’m going to grab peeps just to come here for another IMMACULATE experience.

I am as skeptical as they come. And when I see that a place has 22 reviews and each and every one of them is a solid 5-star. I am skeptical. I mean this is Unilocal, people have been known to rate things down because the ice cubes are shaped wrong. How do i believe a place is 22 for 22 in the awesome department. So i checked each of the reviews, and while 2 of them are from Orangheads, about half of them are from people with at least a couple of dozen reviews under their belt. Yet even though I entered with a cloud of skepticism, I left as a fan. great sandwiches, awesome zombie fries, friendly owner, quick service and clean surroundings. Each one of those has to be worth a star. I ordered the cheesesteak with provolone, bacon, banana peppers and mushrooms, and this one of the best sandwiches ever. I also used my charms to wangle half of someone elses cheese steak too.(thanks Andre) And I can report that whether you like your sandwiches basic or loaded, these are awesome either way. As are the zombie fries. They must hold the potatoes sideways when they slice them here, because these potatoes are more like discs than your normal fry. They are each roughly the size of 2 or 3 poker chips stacked together and then cut in half. Somehow this change in surface area the dynamics of cooking where they manage to get both crisp and soft i the same bite. These disks are the perfect conduit for adding toppings. Whatever toppings you like. Onions(raw, grilled, or caramelized), tomatoes, banana peppers, guac, mushrooms pickles or even bacon(mm bacon) are all included if you want. Just like the cheesesteaks. they dont charge for extras. Beyond that, Romel, the owner is one heck of a nice guy. OK now the complaint. how can a place named«Café Cola» not have a fountain?. Must be because the place is so small. They did have canned Diet Coke though, so I won’t mark them down for that.

I have to thank Michael W. for introducing my husband and I to Café Cola. We’ve passed the location many times, since we’ve been up in the Azusa Canyon, but I remember this place being something else. The place is hard to spot, since you can’t see it from the street. The storefront is facing north towards the mountains. Café Cola just opened up at the beginning of 2012 and seems to be doing well already. Their cheese steaks made from rib-eye are really delicious! PHOTO:( ) I’ve also tried their Rubie slider(Swiss cheese, bacon, mushrooms, BBQ sauce). PHOTO:( ) The diameter of the slider is smaller than the bun, but sliders only run $ 2.95 and you can always order 2 or 3 if you’re really hungry. They are larger than your typical slider. The thing I would recommend are the ZOMBIEFRIES. You can top them with anything you want. Multiple kinds of cheese, bacon, mushrooms… maybe even a fried egg… be creative! PHOTO:( ) Simple menu, decent prices, custom orders. We spoke with the owner, Romel, and he’s a very personable guy who’s pretty humble and takes time to listen to his customers He’s emphazised that money is not the driver of his business. He also likes to give back to the community. In Azusa especially, we’ve seen so many restaurants fail just within the last 3 years so we wish Café Cola good luck with their newly growing business! Note — They’re closed on Sundays.
