Phenomenal educational experience with an outstanding group of people — students, staff, and faculty alike. If you want an old-timey conservative education, I hear that there’s a program in the U-District for you. If you are passionate about making the world a better place after earning an MBA, then BGI is really worth considering. The coursework is very challenging, relevant, and rewarding. One glaring flaw, however: for an institution founded upon the principles of sustainability, progressivity, and diversity, the menu-planning for the monthly weekend retreats on Bainbridge are a joke if you don’t eat meat: $ 80 a day for a meager ration of oats and fruit and salads? Who’s not smelling the shade-grown, fair-trade organic coffee that’s brewing? If you find out, please let me know.

I am in the middle of the Certificate program in Sustainable Business, and it’s a great program. It’s no walk in the park, mind you, but I don’t think I could handle the full-blown MBA program. Amazing teachers and students. It makes your brain hurt in a good way. FYI — Some classes(mine, for example) are held in Seattle(Belltown) so don’t let the Bainbridge part of the name scare you off. If you’re interested in Sustainability education, BGI is the place to go.
