Denny’s

Driving from LA to Vegas. Needed to stop to stretch my legs and get some breakfast. The Denny’s in Baker was a familiar name and a known entity.
Ambience: this is a fairly typical Denny’s. If you’ve ever been in a Denny’s, this one is really no different. It is clean. Maybe a little smaller than other Denny’s that I have been in.
Service: saying that the service is slow is being generous. You really shouldn’t stop here if you are in a hurry. We were in no rush, so the slow service didn’t bother me. And our server was friendly and seemed to be trying.
Food: I tried the veggie omelette on the senior fit menu. Under 400 calories. Two eggs, some veggies, a little cheddar cheese, and some diced tomatoes on top. Overall pretty tasty. I got it with a side of cut up fruit. Overall, filling and made me feel like I was eating something healthy.
Value: for under eight bucks, if you’re not in a hurry this is a good deal. Plus, 15% off if you’re a member of AARP.

Service is terrible. Waited half hour for our order. Server never came to check on us. Walked out. Good thing is they didn’t charge us for the drinks.

Denny’s will always be Denny’s no matter where I go. This Denny’s was really creepy just because my friends and I got here around 3 in the morning. The little town they had was so empty! But the server was really nice and our food was cooked fresh.

I should have read the many people’s reviews about slow service. We were waiting to be seated. We waited 20 minutes and didn’t get acknowledged. There were only 2 people working. So we walked out and went somewhere else.

Poor service. Waited for 15 minutes to be seated. Waited another 15 minutes and no one even offered water. We repeatedly called the server and nothing happened. We just walked out.

I do not like this location at all. We waited for 50 minutes!!! :(Also 3 of the ladies bathroom stalls weren’t working. The workers skipped several people, only called names about every 20 minutes, and by then those people have already left. One worker doesn’t even write down your order, and it took them 15 minutes just to ask us for our drinks. They give you like 1 very small piece of bacon, you don’t even notice it on the plate. The club sandwich wasn’t even cut proportionately. Fries were cold when they got to the table. I am very unsatisfied and highly suggest you do NOT dine here. :(

Food came really quick and tasted great so I have no issue with the food but our drinks were never refilled or were we checked on by the waitress.

The service is ok but the have a Gluten free menu !!!

We stopped here on our way at to Vegas and I’ll say it’s been one of the nicest Denny’s we’ve been to. The place was empty with the exception of one other table. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our food came out hot and ready. The bathrooms where clean and so was the restaurant itself. They even had Christmas music playing and had the inside very festive. I only gave it 4 stars because the busser was hosing off the Kitchen while we where there

Slow. I don’t think they’re prepared for large crowds. Had to wave down three different waitresses to start our order.

This Denny’s is horrible. Trash on the floor, sticky tables, poor service, old fruit with my dish, waiting 20 min for a waitress to come to take our order… And the bathrooms were plugged up and awful! I would have rather eaten at a truck stop. Awful!!! Oh, and the food was terrible.

Horrible! My family and I stopped in on our way home from Vegas and we had the worst service ever! We ordered stuff and were never given them after asking for them 3 times, waitress took our beverage order and took 15 mins to come back (it wasn’t even busy). We ordered food and drinks for a member of our party that was in the restroom and she questioned why we were ordering 3 meals… Bathrooms were dirty and had no seat covers/​toilet paper, trash was all over the floor and the hallway leading to the restroom smelled like pee! Definitely not ever coming back here again!

Over the past few years we have stopped here twice to get our once/​twice a year Denny’s fix.
This location is a very small location on the main drag of Baker located past the old shuttered Mad Greek and the super old Bun Boy restaurants.
The service is slow here, do not be in a hurry. It’s slow to be seated, it’s slow to get drinks, it’s slow for your food, it’s just plain slow. But the servers, cashier, and bus people are always very nice.
Hubby orders the Veggie Scramble skillet (I think it’s the egg white one?) with NO EGGS and hold the butter. So basically its red new potatoes and ass ton pile high of vegetables, including broccoli. He also gets a side of fruit and a side of regular hashbrowns.
For me… I just really can’t stand breakfast (except plain oatmeal which I eat every morning) so I order the veggie burger. Sometimes a bun, sometimes just lettuce. Sometimes I just order a salad. Boring I know. Sometimes fries, sometimes fruit.
Hey it’s freaking Denny’s eat your Sysco food and get back on the road!

We stopped here on our way home from Vegas. Service was fast. Our waiter was friendly. We placed our order and the food came quick! The reason I didn’t give this place five stars is that she forgot to check on my coffee after we got our meal.

Best Dennys of any Dennys I’ve ever been to — no bs! I’m a driver and transport Motorhomes often on the I-​15. I’ve been here three times. I now stop every time I come through. So far, food and staff have been excellent!

We stopped here on our way home from Vegas. The service was so friendly, attentive and courteous. The food was pretty good considering it’s a chain restaurant. I would come here often if we lived closer.

Stopped here on the way home from vegas. The food was ok. The service was good. What more can I expect from Denny’s tho. The strawberry pancake puppies were grub. Taste like funnel cake you get at the fair.

I really was hoping for a healthy hearty breakfast this morning and even though service was great, the food was terrible. My pancakes tasted old and microwaved. Definitely was not fresh and I usually can finish my whole plate. After a few bites I had to pass. My eggs were just «okay» and the bacon was full of grease. Denny’s food standards has really dropped since the hey day of good old fashion home cooked meals.

just stopped in for a potty break and to fill our reusable water bottles. The staff was very gracious when we asked to fill our bottles and they did so happily. yay!

My service experience was good. The coffee is better than the Seattle Mermaid brand. Lots of people, driving home from Vegas stop at the Greek place, which is good, but the food there can be heavy. Denny’s offers choices for lighter fare, and is a little more kid friendly.
