Auto Sounds of Bakersfield

I spoke with Terry early this morning about a radio installation, and he was extremely helpful. The work was extremely quick and the price was reasonable. I was extremely glad that I made the decision of going there and will be taking my business there for any car audio needs.

We searched Unilocal reviews and found Auto Sounds of Bakersfield. The owners Kenny and Andy and their staff went above and beyond to achieve our satisfaction. They took the time to understand what we wanted, researched the best options and did a high quality job installing the Navigation system and back up camera. Couldn’t be happier

I found Auto Sounds because they were the nearest dealer for the iDataLink replacement for the awful Ford Sync factory system (installing a Kenwood radio and Garmin navigation in its place). There are no iDataLink dealers where I live in Northern California. I knew this could be a challenging request since there wasn’t much info online to do all the research. Terry answered my questions on the phone and kept me informed about things they needed to do more research on. I brought it in and they were able to figure out the parts that were needed to do it. (Realistically I had to be prepared for a scenario of leaving the car with them for some days and taking Amtrak back home. But that didn’t happen.) I gave them the go-​ahead to overnight the parts and they had it done the next day. The new nav system looks as if it was built into the car and works so much better. Andy showed me how the systems work after it was done. He also offered to answer questions — though others may need that, as a gadget geek I quickly figured the system out without further assistance. A week after the install, I wish I had done this a long time ago.

Being from San Diego its hard to find a stereo store that is legit. Came to bakersfield to do some work, and while driving down brundage saw that auto sounds was still in buisness. What a relief! Walked in the front door and i was treated like family. The salesman took care of all my stereo problems and had me beating in less then a couple of hours. If your looking for a stereo installation shop that cares, look no further then Auto Sounds!

I don’t post many reviews on Unilocal.But I had too after the wonderful service I got from them. My case is probably a rare one anyways my alarm was on «valet mode» which I did not even know it existed, either way this employee (didn’t ask name): took the effort of checking it out. Knowing others in my past time they would just tell me to try another place. Yet he was nice enough to check it out and he Fixed it! It was something super simply but it made my day. Thank you! I would definitely come back for the simply act of good Customer service.

Highly impressed with the service. Kenny assessed my reception issue and found I needed an amplifier, problem solved within 30 minutes and he didn’t charge an arm and a leg or try to sell me a new stereo. Honest people are getting harder to find now so this was refreshing.

I have a ‘older’ vehicle (1999 Tahoe) that had a 3^rd party alarm system that was ‘dying a slow death’. I came in, and they evaluated the system, and explained the problems I was having before I even explained it to THEM! I had them replace my old alarm system with a new one, very reasonably-​priced; very friendly service, and I would recommend them without qualification. In short, They did a GREAT JOB!

Real reasonable prices and knowledgable on car stereos, amps. Pretty fast service also. So in other words I’ll be back for all my car stereo needs.

When I first entered the door, I was little weary about the place, because no one was around to greet me.
After a couple minutes, Andy and his dad had come in and Andy had asked if I needed any help. I explained to him my situation with my speakers, and he went out to my car to have a listen for himself. He told me it could me one of two things and brought my vehicle in the back to check the specific problem. After a couple minutes, he came and told me it was my speakers and then asked how much I want to spend for new ones (Hello I was never given an option on price range at other places i have been). I finally settled on the ones that were similar to what I already had in there but better quality.(Andy recommended them) All in all after about 45 minutes and less than $ 100 dollars my speakers were installed and I couldn’t be more happy. Andy was extremely helpful and if i ever need anything else done with my car stereo, I WILL be returning to these guys. Thanks ANDY!

I recently stopped in to get a deck, satellite radio and back up camera installed for my sprinter van. I am very satisfied with the work that was done. Its owned by a father and son. Both of them were professional and courteous. Andy the son even gave me a lift home. Support independently owned and operated American business like this! Thanks Kenny and Andy!
