Don Perico’s

This used to be our favorite place to eat. My family went for dinner about 1 week ago. Wow!!! Dirty furniture, greasy rubbery chips, hard shell taco was chuy, avocados were brown, water tasted funny and not a huge deal but the napkin wrapps had «Ruby’s» restaurant on them. When I asked the waiter he said that «they» sent the wrong wraps, yet they still placed them on. If you don’t care about something like that, what are you doing to the food. Save your money.

Great food awesome service and the bartender Fransisco made amazing drinks !! I had the shrimp fajitas they were seasoned and grilled perfectly, the new owner and chef are awesome !

Now under new management. Very disappointed. Our usual go to place and they changed for the worse unfortunately. Salsa isnt good, had a carne asade quesadilla and it was so salty and just awful. I will not be retunring. Our waiter didnt know how taco tuesday worked when we asked. He was confused. Hoping they change back.

Sooooo, this used to be my favorite Mexican food place to eat, but now we go to Mauricio’s. Very sad… cause we were weekly regulars for the past 8 years. To me hands down the food was the best in town… however the last year or so the food quality is not consistent… the décor and facility has gone WAY down, dirty and just outdated. Service turned to crap too, we were forced to start going somewhere else. We love Mauricio’s too, service is much better, Food is good and consistent, but unfortunately I will always miss the quality of Don Perioco’s food from back in the day. :(

Service was poor! And if it could get any worse let’s talk about the food!!! Gross I was sick for two days after never again

Boy how times have changed. A couple of years ago this place could not fail. Service is the main issue with this place. Surprisingly on Sunday’s for brunch this place goes from 2 stars to 3 – 4. I don’t get with the difference is but we came on a Friday and it was just a mediocre experience at best. The happy hour menu from 3 – 9 is pretty legit. My wife and I both ordered the fajitas and they were pretty tasty.
This location is in need of a facelift bad. Outdated décor and old furniture that is torn or needs replacing. With that being said, the Sunday brunch is usually great. With a few tweaks and a nice little facelift, Don Pericos can regain a couple stars.

I went with a big group of friends to Don Perico’s on Cinco de Mayo. The place was packed/​busy and there was approximately ten of us seated at one table. It took about fifteen minutes for them to ask us if we wanted any drinks. Most of us ordered margaritas, as they have a variety of margarita flavors that include fruit punch, banana, strawberry, melon balls, mango (with or without chammy), and more. One of the waiters forgot my drink :(but he apologized and brought my drink as soon as he realized that I did not have one. Our food took approximately an hour and it was hard for us to wave down the waiters to request another drink. Good food and drinks, but the wait time was a little ridiculous. My friends and I did not complain much because we were in each other’s company and we understood that they were very that night.

Used to go to don pericos ALL the time for about 4 years. It used to be great. The last year it’s just been going down hill BAD. horrible management, horrible employees. Except for victor. He’s the only good one left. Food sucks, takes forever. Need to get furniture re done. So sad to see a place I used to love going to go to such shit. Sorry don P won’t be coming back.

I guess I have to give this place one whole star. I was a frequent customer for many years until they hired their current manager. She has absolutely not one ounce of customer service skills. She caters to a few customers by sitting with them and ignoring all others and her slammed staff. She can be found quite often sitting down and watching tv and texting on her phone. And when out of view of camera, doing shots with intoxicated customers. This place is on a downward spiral and will crash soon.

I’ve always said that you can’t really go wrong with Mexican food… but now I know you can.
–atmosphere: uncomfortable and dirty. Room is bright, open, not intimate at all. Seems like everyone can see and hear you. Walls and seats are falling apart and dirty.
–service: there were literally probably 4 tables filled in the whole restaurant. That should have been our first red flag. Yet somehow we couldn’t get a soul to check on us. I wanted sour cream for my meal– I waited so long for our waiter to come back and check on us (he never did; we asked another employee who eventually walked by) that my food was eventually too cold to eat. I did try a few bites which concludes with:
Food– blah, dry, plain, looked unappetizing and tasted the same. Even the chips and salsa (my favorite part of Mexican food) were stale and gross
Definitely will not return and advise you to not waste your money!

I came in for a quick margarita and I ordered their new special margarita «La Negra Rita» and the dude making the drink took forever and couldnt find the stuff he needed to make the drink finally i told him i just want a reg. Margarita. The chips and salsa i also had were not good either the salsa tastes like it has beer in it gross… but i was hungry and thirsty so i ate it and left…

This place had good food but servers was very rude and had a bad attitude about getting my wife and kids drinks. If you hate your easy job do us a favor and quit so you don’t have work with customers.

This place has gone down hill in the past few months. They used to make the best Chile Verde in town. Not the case anymore. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

I saw the reviews but we went in a group so I didnt have much of a choice. Ill put down positives first. The group I went with was awesome, so it was atleast fun. The service was good, we got refills as needed and food came out in a decent amount of time.
Ok so the food…
I got the carne asade DP Burrito, all around terrible, meat was overcooked, sauce tasted like it came straight from a can. It was 11.95 and was half the size of a 5.00 burrito from La Salsa’s. It came with beans and rice, which were nothing to get excited about. Chips and salsa, I love this part of going to a Mexican restaurant, but not here. The salsa is not very good, and the chips must be made in the morning, nothing fresh about them. I would not recommend going here.

So I’ve been here several times before and loved it. Today was very disappointing because we waited 20 minutes before having to go up and get our own menus and then it took about an hour and 15 minutes for our food to arrive and that was after I asked them to just give us a bill for the drinks because we didn’t have the time to wait longer. Our waiter was nice and felt bad for us waiting so long and comped a couple of the drinks however when the food arrived we could tell it had been sitting for awhile and possibly thrown in the microwave. I cut my burrito open and all this water came pouring out. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla and the quesadilla was sitting in water so the whole thing was a soggy mess and the cheese inside was just clumps of soggy mess. None of us are more than 2 bites of the food. My friends quesadilla came out different then what he ordered and the whole experience has left us not wanting to go again. The ticket was still $ 60 after a couple comped drinks and we didn’t really eat anything but chips, salsa and guacamole. :-(
I would have given one star but since the waiter tried to make it up to us I gave it 2

When we arrived, we were the only people in the place. My husband and daughter ordered quesadillas and I ordered chile rellenos, rice and beans. Our food finally arrived 20 minutes later, but it was well worth the wait. We will be back again soon.

We came in because of an add that kids eat for 2.99 on Tuesday. No fine print on this add at all
So go to pay and sorry that’s only for dinner.
Food was alright but little pricy for what we had

The food was really bad tonight, my guacamole tasted old even spoiled. My fajitas were scarce and it took a long time to get out food. Not a good night for Dons.. :(

Great service, great food! Large serving for a reasonable price. Love the margaritas yuhm! Happy hour special with fajitas for 2 is more than enough food. Had a to go box full of food. Love their fresh guacamole.

Horrible. Thought we would go for a drink on a Taco Tues. I was looking for a good margarita and decent atmosphere.

Menus we were given to look at were filthy, covered in dried salsa, gross. Made me realize that I would never be ordering food from here
My lime marg was a nasty mix — not a good drink at all and served in a soda glass, not a margarita glass for some reason
The music — why blast Megadeath at a Mexican resto promoting a taco night?
The prices — the amounts we were charged on our bill did not match the regular prices of our drinks listed on our menu. Each were 50 cents higher (marg and small beer). Small scam that large scale, could make the bar a lot of money in a year’s time. The server blamed it on the fact that the bartender’s log-​in on the system did this automatically to the bill. This info he supposedly garnered from the manager. Whatever.
We left sorry we had come but at least we will know never to go back.
