FLORES ICE CREAM

My mother loves this place and got me hooked too. They are always nice, the crepes are delicious and ice cream after shopping at the mall never fails. 4 stars only because its so tiny and its always scorching hot in there. Also the ordering line is confusing. We frequent this location for the dessert but I tried their tuna melt once before and it was yummy as well.

So I decided to try Flores ice creams Boba drinks. I chose the green tea one which I’ve had before from other places. This drink was terrible! I then asked if I could possibly trade it for something else and the woman said no! She apologized but still said no. Well that was a waste of $ 5.00! Super disappointed with the customer service. I definitely won’t be visiting again, and they want us to support our local businesses

If you want ice cream, this place is okay. For sandwiches, save your money and go to Subway. We ordered meatball sandwich, paid for it, and then they said they can make it but they are out of meatballs. The bacon on the BLT was like freeze dried bacon. The BBQ beef sandwich was extra lean on the beef (three strips).
We then ordered a banana and strawberry crêpe like the one on the picture, paid for it and, and when it came, it didn’t have the strawberry ice cream on the side. When I asked why not, they said it’s extra. Here’s an idea, put the price of what’s pictured so when customers order what’s up there, they get it.
The place also had to many employees who should have been cleaning the dining room instead of standing around talking. One employee was throwing up a storm that made eating very unpleasant. I had to ask the three employees standing around laughing at the sick employee if their coworker was ok back there. Dining room table had to be cleaned by myself and kids.
The Sprite drink had no syrup which two of my kids gulped carbonate water before going «ugh».
They still have a picture of their break in from 2012 in their display case. It’s pretty faded so it makes you wonder how often they clean in there. Maybe it was just a wrong time to come in (Saturday afternoon around 3−4pm), but I do regret my experience. I may come back out of necessity due to Michael’s being next door and this being the only «food» place to wait with the kids while the wife shops Michael’s. But to actual come here will not be happening on purpose. Maybe things are different during the week. Maybe.
PS. Don’t let the stocky fellow take your order, he’ll get it wrong and bring you the wrong quantity or not ask if you want something that is pictured thinking you are supposed to know what’s included and what’s not.

Contrary to other reviews I received great service here from Karina. And my drink was yummy too! (Taro smoothie with boba.)

My boyfriend and I visit for the crepes. We always order a strawberry crêpe with cream cheese and a scoop of icecream on the side. Our crepes are always hot when we get them.
I also have ordered their ham and pineapple crêpe, chicken avocado, and boba. Everything I’ve had here has been delicious so far.

There are so any things that are just terrible about Flores. First of all you can make their raspados by pouring syrup over ice cubes. They are impossible to eat and extremely painful to eat. I have seen guys who make better raspados out of their coolers in the hood at a better price than Flores.
Second of all they are completely over priced for the poor and basic quality of items that try offer. You can get better fruit, raspados, and ice cream in other places around Bakersfield.
Third their ice cream is dreyer’s ice cream. While I do like that ice cream what is it doing in a supposedly semi authentic nieveria.
Lastly their customer service is shit. I complained about their quality of raspados and I wanted it better blended or for one that was made with more care. The rude people who work their told me that the plastic of their cups and straws were $ 3.50 of product that they could never get back and just made horrible excuses about their products.
I will never be going to such a poorly managed establishment with poor quality items.

All the drinks I’ve had are great! Just the current staff is horrible. When this place first opened, the staff was wonderful and always really kind but now the girls there are usually rude or just don’t get the order right.
too understaffed. Spent 20 minutes getting a medium mocha and the order didn’t come out right. I understand it’s busy but it’s too understaffed and the girls there are usually rude.
Rather go further to the Edison location since the staff and service there is 100% better

gross sandwiches! Paid $ 9 for a turkey and cheese sandwich with a bag of chips and soda. The sandwich was disgusting it had like a microwaved taste to it even though it was supposed to be cold. I should have driven a few blocks down to subway!!! gross!

I got a kids cone and asked for a cup so my son wouldn’t spill it in the car and they charged me for a kids cone and a cone in a cup all because I asked for a cup. I asked the girl why she was charging me for two and she said because cup prices went up, well it isn’t my fault and she should have warned me when I asked for a cup. DONT GO. DONT GO!!!

Pretty good spot to get sum yummy typical hispanic treats. We always come to get the tostilocos! They are the best!!! Bring the fam… itll definitely hit the spot! :)

Had a diablito for the first time here and although I didn’t know what to expect, I love spicy food and the tamarindo flavor, so I liked the drink. We went on a Friday night so it was pretty crowded. I’d go back to try other menu items or maybe just go back for the diablito!

Wow, that hit the spot. Very good icecream, had a cajete banana crêpe with cheese cake icecream. Amazing! They have so many options. Its a must try!

The service was so bad! The girl was arguing with customers! I wouldn’t go back! The food n drinks were ok! The girl making the drinks looked like she didn’t want to be there! Such bad service! I felt so bad for the customer!

The drinks are pretty good, walking in I wasn’t expecting much, it isn’t fancy or frilly. It’s a quaint little shop that has a variety of Mexican desserts to boba drinks as well as a good selection of ice cream.
I’m not entirely sure how clean it is, but the again we only ordered drinks which gave us no trouble. We ordered a Green Tea smoothie with boba and a Horchata smoothie.
They weren’t bad but were out of this world either, just mediocre. My companion noted that the boba was a bit too soft. The drinks tasted like if they had a powdered based in their smoothies which would be expected. Overall it’s okay.

This place has ice cream, yogurt, smoothies, sandwiches, pizza, boba drinks and all kinds of fresh fruit. The fruit, smoothies and ice cream is probably the best part about this place. Never had the pizza but the sandwiches that I’ve eaten from here are just ok. 3.5 stars, why can’t Unilocal just let us give half stars too…

So many bomb options of all of Mexican snacks. Mangoniada, Bionicos, Tostilocos and Chcharron to name a few. They also have ice cream, crepes and many more options. I like this place. good thing I don’t live in Bakersfield or else i would be here everyday.
Nice ladies helped us out too.

The service wasn’t too friendly. I was asking questions about their slushy like mangoniada and diablito and the man helping me seemed to be botherd by me asking questions. The drink could have been better. I was not a fan of the type of shaved ice they used (Maybe it wasn’t shaved ice?) I would not go back.
