GameStop

I used to come here so often for games when management was engaged. But over the past 3 years, this store just sucks. I could care less about the trade-​ins since I buy new, it’s the lack of service. Since management has changed, 4 people have ever came up to me and asked if I needed help. That’s with me fumbling through the terrible setup of games for over 30 minutes. Employees will stand behind the cash register and joke, take personal calls, and go into the back to be out of sight. I can’t come back to a store like this, when it should be helping people buy physical items in the digital age. Go somewhere else.

Used game selection is so-​so. Pricing is not bad. Clientele is what usually makes this place not worth the trip, east side Bakersfield FTF. Gamestore in the east hills mall is a better choice for service and used selection for retro gaming.

I have to say that I’ve worked in customer service for a long time and every time I go in to Game Stop it’s been great. I never know what game I’m looking for whether it be for a midnight release of Ghost for husband or shopping for games for Christmas gifts for the kids I have always had excellent customer service and the manager was very helpful. Keep up the good work :)

So i was going to go into a long write up about how rude the manager and Remington were to me but i can see Rick H also was treated the same way… this is the second time Remington the Douche has treated me terrible… glad to see gamestop really cares!
Whoever the Area Manager is needs to step it up. Terrible rep now terrible manager must be a terrible Area Manager… Shit rolls down hill…

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced at a retail chain. Remington is a terrible employee. This guy is the most pretentious asshole I have ever seen, and his boss was working right next to him. I think her name is Becky? She was not much better. There was an air of apathy in the building when I walked in, as if these people did not care about anything. No sense of urgency in helping anyone standing in the mile long line, no «thank yous» or «youre welcomes» and was flat out told «this is not a rental service» when I went to return a game. This place needs to have upper management come in and wipe the floor with the plebs that work there. Needs a compelete overhaul in staffing and training in customer service. I would be ashamed and embarassed if a crew that worked for me acted like these people. Would give negative stars if I could.

Overall great location. I wish these kinds of places were more like they used to be and allowed all the employees to have fun! They still give their best with the resources given! If you are calm and nice and patient the employees will give you the world! Just like most places though when you get crazy and start dropping F bombs every 2 mins then the people have the natural response to break down! I can’t wait til customers make Gamestop better and chill the heck out! It’s a GAME PLACE! Have fun and pull that giant stick out of your butt! And at the end of the day treat people like you want to be treated! I have been a regular at GameStop for more than 10 years with no problems! Cause I am nice and respectful! Learn people!

This place is awesome! Great customer service. Makes me want to just stay in the store and hang out
