I had a coupon that was emailed to me from Baskin Robbins. That motivated me to look for one near by and invite my cousin-in-law. Especially that it gets hot out here. The cashier was very nice as we walked in and welcomed us. I wanted to try a few and she assisted me with that. There was no one at the line so I didn’t mind. A man finally walked in and I was still undecided. She turned to him and asked if she can help him. I didn’t mind since it was just one person. Well, after 2 buckets of ice cream and waiting for 10 minutes I was ready to tell her something. When he was done she apologized. She said she thought he was just going to get a cone or something quick. She didn’t want to make him wait. I said it was fine and left it like that. I tried the Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream and it was delicious. My husband got the Wild ‘N Reckless Sherbet and he liked it a lot. We put it together on a banana split with another scoop of Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and we were done. My cousin-in-law got a scoop of Banana Split Ice Cream in a cup and her daughters got a soft served vanilla cone. They all loved the ice cream. I noticed they had other offers on a huge banner indoors. They were also giving out small coupons that were for family night. It was a $ 0.99 scoop of ice cream after 5 pm. When i was ready to pay using one of my coupons she apologized again and said that they don’t take those coupons. She explained that the owner only accepts the coupons that are given at this location printed on the receipt. What a bummer. If I would of known earlier I probably would of taken into consideration one of their offers on the banner. She said she felt bad told me about the $ 0.99 scoop after 5 pm. I was going to go back so I told her not to worry that we were just visiting from Los Angeles and we were heading back soon so we couldn’t go after 5 p.m. They have a shared parking lot and we found a spot right in the front. All the tables were available too because there was no one inside.

Baskin Robbins is our go to for an after dinner treat. Tonight was very frustrating though. As I am about to enter the store I see a posting for this month’s flavor and it sounded really good. I asked for a taste and was told they were out. I realize today is the 29th but there are 2 more days to this month. I asked if the clerk would take the sign down and was told it wasn’t her job. It’s not like they have anywhere near 31 flavors in stock so this was a disappointment.

Great location! Wonderful cakes and management was very helpful in making my order in a speedy manner. Best ice cream cakes in bakersfield. Come here to satisfy your sweet tooth!

I love their product… this store, though, is always either dirty our something is wrong with the register(credit card machine broken and can only take cash, no change, etc). The workers are friendly enough and they did a really nice job on our last ice cream cake order…

It had been years since I’d been to a Baskin Robbins, but I have very fond memories from when I did used to go there often. My all time favorite ice cream here was Jamoca Almond Fudge and I believe my mom’s was world class chocolate. This visit I was torn between Watermelon Chip(watermelon ice full of chocolate ‘seeds’) and Nutty Coconut(coconut ice cream mixed with almonds, pecans, and walnuts. After much deliberation, I finally settled on the Nutty Coconut, and I certainly didn’t regret it. I’m really more of a frozen yogurt girl than an ice cream girl but this was rich and creamy and totally satisfied my dairy cravings. I guess that means I’m a fan; or maybe a convert. Try it, you’ll like it! It’s a great way to escape the Bakersfield heat!

What can I say about a good old fashioned Baskin Robbins Ice cream scoop? I volunteered to treat my niece and nephew to an ice cream, the plan was to have a picnic but it’s in the nineties today and I didn’t want to sit outside. I suggested ice cream or anything that has air condition. Being a city dweller I just assumed we were going to go to some fancy creamery, I wasn’t even considering a chain place, but lo and behold my mom drives us to Baskin Robbins. I didn’t want to look like a citified snob that has grown too big for his britches so I just figured that since the kids seemed thrilled I should be happy too. What surprised me was the friendly service and the actually pretty good ice cream. When my mother complained that my scoop looked a bit small, I hadn’t noticed anything, they put a little more on there smiling the whole time
