I didn’t catch the name of the girl who helped me but she was Hispanic with glasses and a bit rude with a bad attitude. Seemed to be in a hurry and didn’t mash my toppings well, no spoon on my to go order and threw out my receipt without offering it to me (I wanted it to see if there’s customer service info to send in a review or survey)

When looking for a quick dessert on the east side, this place works perfect. It is what you would expect for a coldstone. The customer service was excellent and they were liberal with the add ins. I noticed over reviews talking about the store being dirty, but I didn’t notice this. It seemed clean and picked up to me. Even the table outside was clean. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy our ice cream. So if you are on the east side and looking for something to tame your sweet tooth, this is the place for you.

If it was just based on customer service they would have gotten 5 stars! The place was nasty! Needs to be deep cleaned asap! Literally looks like they never clean.

Coldstone is the best ice cream in bakersfield to me. It’s easy on the stomach as I’m lactose intolerant. I love how you can add any mix ins and my son loves it also. Sometimes they get skimpy with the mix ins and you have to tell them to add more then they charge you. I feel the ice cream is already pricey why charge extra for more add ins. I’ll always be a customer though.

Ice cream good, however this place is dirty… All tables needed to be cleaned, there were napkins on the floor, signs were crooked and falling, I was pretty surprised that the girls behind the counter didn’t at least have all of their hair pulled back away from their face, and possibly falling into the ice cream. While I was sitting, about 15 – 20 minutes, the girls spent most of their time behind the counter, eating ice cream, or in the back out of site.

Only three kids behind the counter. Good service. But gave them a tip and they didn’t sing. Also the mix-​ins were rather scant in my creation — seemed like mostly ice cream. Still tasted good, just needed more mix-​ins.

There are not a lot of ice cream options on the Eastside, but IMHO this is your best bet. There is ample seating inside plus 2 outdoor tables on sidewalk in front of the store. There are 2 more tables on the sidewalk next door in front of Quiznos that I’m sure they probably wouldn’t throw you out of if you wanted to utilize them for your ice cream guzzling pleasure.
Cold Stone Creamery sells a variety of cold creamy treats including ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, shakes, ice cream cakes, and even shaved ice.
The ice cream is served in three sizes, referred to as ‘like it’ (5 oz), ‘love it’ (8 oz), and ‘gotta have it’ (12 oz). You choose your flavor of ice cream, sorbet, or frozen yogurt and then decide which mix-​ins you want to have added. Instead of being sprinkled on top, the mix-​ins are actually mixed in over a cold stone to keep the ice cream from melting. There are a number of signature flavors or you can choose your own combos.
On this particular I was a bit of a purist and chose to have a strawberry mango sorbet in the ‘like it’ size with no mix-​ins. It was very good, creamy and delicious, but I really only needed half the amount they gave me to be satisfied. Don’t get me wrong — I finished the whole thing — I just didn’t really need that much ice cream.
You can also order larger quantities of ice cream (with or without mix-​ins) to go in sizes called ‘mine’ (16 oz), ‘ours’ (32 oz), and ‘everybody’s’ (48 oz).
I’ve had the shaved ice at their other locations and it is pretty good, too!

Always cold, always friendly, always delicious. They always recognize us! I love this location, much better than the westside.
