Jolly Kone Drive-In

I love this place. The food is delicious and for some reason it’s never packed. The employees now what I’m getting since I’ve been going since like forever

This is a classic old school drive in. They have crushed ice and delicious ice cream cones. The fries are classic crinkle cut and have the best seasoning. The service is always fast and super nice. I continue to return as it is a always a treat.

I’ve driven past this place for several years and always thought it was just a run-​down burger shack. I now know that run-​down is appropriate. The chairs aren’t the newest, the tables are at a slant and for whatever reason the jukebox is blocking the fire exit. These minor complaints however, in relation to the food and service. Upon first entering I noticed the menu and it is pretty vast. Pastrami sandwiches, hamburgers, tacos, and even fish are available on the menu. I paroosed the menu, for a minute or so trying to wrap my mind around the selection. A little american, a little mexican, a little bit italian, and it’s all cooked by a lovely Asian couple. This couple was very genuine in their approach to customer service and food greeting us as we walked in and eager to take our orders I decided on ordering the special which was the super jolly burger and fry pictured above. Yum. It only took a few minutes to cook up my order and I was surprised at how fresh it all was a large all beef patty that was well seasoned with a slice of American cheese crispy romaine lettuce a thick slice of tomato along with crunchy pickles and onions topped with a dap of thousand island dressing and held together by a sesame seed bun. This was without a doubt one of the best burgers in town; fresh ingredients on a made to order patty with a genuine smile will certainly keep me coming back.

My husband took me here, it’s not in the best location. When I first walked I was skeptical, however, when I got my bacon cheeseburger, oh. My. Goodness. It was so delicious! Fresh, full of flavor! The bread was not soggy, the meat was perfect, and the tomatoes, lettuce and pickles were crispy and fresh! Oh and very nice waitstaff!!!

I really like the food here for some reason. Maybe it reminds me of the times my dad and I used to drive out there to grab some Pastrami Sandwhiches and some fried mushrooms.
Downside, the last time I did go with my Dad or ever there was a vehicle chasing another vehicle brandishing a gun out the window. :(
so 4 stars for the food, but really NO stars on location.
