Junior League of Bakersfield’s Community Center Venue

We had my son’s wedding here 9÷19÷15 it was beautiful. Lovely outdoor setting everyone loved the new lawn The young man who books and is the caretaker (matt I think not sure) was so helpful and super to work with! All of the guest I spoke with had such wonderful things to say about the garden, location and how beautiful the building was. It’s the perfect setting for a vintage theme wedding or any event. Bakersfield has a gem in this beautiful well taken care of building our family had a wonderful night! !! Thankyou

My husband and I chose The Junior League of Bakersfield for our wedding because we loved that it was an outdoor and indoor venue. The building itself had a vintage feel and we absolutely loved it! The building was made of brick with big white pillars and beautiful glass doors and windows throughout, it looked amazing in the pictures. The outdoor garden was the perfect entrance for our ceremony. Plus, at night they had beautiful Italian string lights which made it extra romantic. We had about 165 guest and they all fit comfortably. We worked with Matt, who is the manager at the Jr League, who took extra care of us throughout our planning. Our wedding ended up going over the time limit and he was gracious enough to let us stay to finish cleaning up and come back the next day to pick up our items. The price point was beyond reasonable, plus we got our full deposit back for keeping the venue clean. I highly recommend the Jr. League of Bakersfield for your next event!

I had my wedding at the JBL in October 2014. Matt, the manager was AMAZING! Very flexible to our hours and needs. The place, indoor and outdoor was beautiful. We loved the two double doors, red brick old fashion building feel, but most of all, the french hanging overhead lights. Those sold me to go with choosing the JBL. It was definitely memorable. The only downside was the grass area, they were reseeding it therefore No green grass and muddy areas.

I had my wedding and reception at the JLB in September of 2009 and it was great! We had about 180 guests and it fit everyone perfectly. Inside was the food, candy bar, liquor bar, coffee bar, gift table, and guest book. Outside we had all the tables and a dance floor. Working with the staff was relatively easy and their preferred catering list had good options (we went with Hodel’s and were very pleased). We had some great pictures taken, it was a nice central location, tons of parking and very affordable, what more can you ask for :)
