My husband and I participated in the annual GET FIT 5K Fun Run last year in November 2014. It was drizzling that morning, but the event was still happening rain or shine!
It was a fun local community 5K or 2K run, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. The volunteers were friendly and the t-​shirt prize was an added bonus. Wish there were more freebies given at the race though, but we had fun winning some prizes at the booths.
We wore a costume too, since it was around Halloween and the race says «costumes welcome»! Not sure if it’ll be back again in 2015… hopefully more people will register in the years to come…
