Waited for 2 hours for my appointment. This is highly unprofessional to have patients wait this long. The doctor knew he was running late; why was he casually chatting with everyone in the hallway? They have a sign in their office saying they will charge $ 35 for being late for appointments. How about them paying patients for having them wait for hours? I left without being seen and asked for my co-​pay back. Never returning and I’m not recommending this office.

After having several surgeries performed by Dr. Naik I trust him with my life and that of my family. He is truly a remarkably skilled surgeon. He is very good at thoroughly explaining the procedure including the +/​-​of having it done before hand when you have your consult. The day of surgery he always goes over the procedure and answers and questions you or your family may have. One thing he does is he always would come out chat with the family after surgery and set them at ease during a very stressful time. Dr. Naik is simply the best general surgeon we have in Bakersfield.

«What a wonderful experience «
Bakersfield is extremely lucky to have a Doctor as good as Dr. Naik. I was recently referred to Dr. Naik by my regular physician for a hernia. My initial vist on 11−28−14 went very well. Dr. Naik was very genuine during our entire vist which lasted every bit of thirty minutes, he answered every question and concern that I had and would have spent more time if I needed it. After the vist I scheduled my surgery for 12−08−14 at Mercy Southwest which is one of the two hospitals he does surgery at in town. I was EXTREMELY anxious and nervous to have this procedure done but the Doctor came in prior to surgery and really helped calm me down. Right after the procedure he came right out and spoke to my wife to ensure her everything went very well and that he wanted me up on my feet right away. My follow up appointment two weeks later, although having to wait a little longer than I would have liked to went very well. I really believe he would have spent an hour with me if I needed it. He was happy with my healing and wished me well.

Dr. Naik sounds like a nice dr whern you first meet him. He is young and energetic, but he doesn’t really listen he rather talks a lot that you actually get distracted and forget what you want to ask him about. Plus I had a bad experience with him where he introduced me to his PA in the examination room and started telling her about my condition and having her examining me without even asking for my permission or letting me know that she is actually training and she is not just a regular physician assistant! This made me feel awful it was a really bad experience! I wouldn’t recommend this doctor because he is too much into his job that he thinks patients should know everything at his level. He should tell his patients if he is planning on training clinicians on patients. People may have different views on being training objects, hence, they need to be asked first.
