Went here while passing through Bakerfield on my way to LA. Was in for a pleasant surprice! The best smoothie I’ve ever tasted and the yummiest guacomole. Highly recomand this to all vegan and vegetarians, and all who love tasty food :)

Really cute market and juice bar in downtown! Staff was friendly :) Juice seemed to be slightly overpriced but it tasted fresh(although I wish it could’ve been served colder). If you’re in the area and want healthy options definitely check it out!

Killer c drink works wonders when you feel sickness coming on, natures is pricey but there isn’t another alternative so they have a bit of a monopoly. I’ve also tried their re-boost when I feel I need to cleanse and it definitely does the trick.

I was super excited to find this place had vegan sandwiches and wraps! I don’t know any other place in town that has these kinds of options besides lassens. They also have this awesome peanut butter machine where you churn your own peanut butter! My favorite thing I’ve had so far is the Rock it fuel green juice. Go get it.

Great place. Great juice and great service. I found the bentonite detox drink that my boyfriend was looking for so that was a super score. My mom, brother, and I got their smoothies which were beyond wonderful. Also the owner was very nice and gave us free toner water with our purchase of a lil glass spritz bottle. Definitely coming back

The owners and the employees are so nice! Everyone was smiling and greeted me when I walked in! Customer service means a lot to me and not very many places here in town show good CS. I ordered the green machine! SODELICIOUS! Going back tomorrow to try the fresh juice! I reccomend this place to everyone!

The store is small and I walked around for about 10 minutes. It seemed like the store clerk was following me, but not asking if I needed any assistance. I was looking for almond oil. I decided not to order from amazon but venture into a local store to help out with the economy. After being ignored, I decided to go spend money somewhere else. The«food market» part seemed sparse, but the«juice bar» seemed to have a large and interesting menu. I’d like to come back sometime and try out a smoothie. But for almond oil, try a different store. The beauty section is dismal to nonexistent, but I’m guessing they focus more on the juice and food options. No harm, no foul.

I love this store. The owners are really great and always friendly and helpful. There are surprisingly a lot of choices, considering the size of the place. And their products are less costly than Lassens. I would say about Whole Foods pricing level. They are one of the few stores out here that carry some of my specialty items. It is so nice to have a vegan friendly store, in such a BBQ orientated city. The cons: No weekend hours. That is really the only con for me. I am hoping to take a raw food class here soon. I do try to stop in when I can. but sadly due to my hours it is not very often. I highly recommend this place though.

OMG, the peanut butter shake with greens is CRAZYDELICIOUS! For that alone, I would give ten stars if I could! Really, you should try it! And then thank me … :) I often order either a Green Machine, or if I’m feeling guilty /trying to be «good» I order a make your own juice(with more greens, and less juice). One time I went a few days ago I was happily waiting for my very healthy juice creation(I had just eaten potato skins! arrrgh!) when I was given a free sample of the peanut butter shake with greens. It’s a bright green color — so you kinda expect a different taste — but my mouth was happily stunned and in ecstasy with the outrageously delicious peanut butter taste! It tastes very indulgent and as delicious as any chocolate /peanut butter ice cream shake I’ve ever had… You get your choice of either coconut or almond milk, and vanilla or chocolate protein powder. The«base» has dates and bananas. As yummy as it is good for you! I ordered a large peanut butter shake yesterday when I went. I also just love their Brother Ray’s Original Garlic salsa which is freshly, locally made…with tomatoes, onions, jalapeño peppers, garlic of course and wonderful spices. Not too spicy, perfect. I just mixed a bit of it with some El Loco salsa to try to make it go further lol. The service is just wonderful. Very nice, helpful, and very friendly every time I go there… Yes, admittingly, the parking can be a bit of a pain. There’s not a lot of it. I try to go off-peak hours so I can find a place in the lot or out front on the street. That seems to work just fine.

After a visit to the Cookie Jar located nearby. I was feeling guilty for satisfying my sweet tooth. Walked on over to Nature’s Food Market and Juice Bar to help alleviate the guilt. The shop was larger than I thought it would be. They have a good selection of natural and organic groceries. We were wanting something from the Juice Bar to help wash down the cookies. The young lady who assisted us was terrific. Helpful and friendly is always a plus when it comes to customer service! She even had us sample the Rock-It Fuel(which was yummy by the way). The premises were spotless. 5 stars for service and cleanliness. We shared a 24oz Reboot and a 24oz Green Machine. Both drinks hit left our tummies happy and satisfied. They were both packed with healthy fruits, veggies, and other good stuff! Too bad it is difficult for us to make it downtown during their open hours. Would love to try the sandwiches on their menu. Well, we will be returning here whenever we are in downtown during their operating hours.

So glad I followed the Unilocal reviews to stop here. The staff is very nice, grab food from the fridge or get it made fresh at the counter. Good prices for the great quality and freshness. Berry Breeze — this was a very good, refreshing smoothie, mostly berry flavor– didn’t taste the coconut water too much. Ginger was just right. Chicken wrap — my first time trying vegan mayo product– that ranch was amazing. was licking the container. The wrap itself was a great mix of salty and sweet– the shredded carrots were super fresh and had a slight sweetness to them. I can’t say that the chicken actually tasted that much like chicken, but it also didn’t taste bad or have any ‘processed’ aftertaste. If driving through Bakersfield, definitely stop here if you love fresh, natural food and drinks.

This was my first time visiting Nature’s Food Market & Juice Bar and I’m glad I finally got the chance to check out this health foods market! Since I came in the morning around 10:15 am, there wasn’t a «food menu» going on at the moment, so I opted for a smoothie. The Green Machine seemed packed with fruits, veggies, and delightful goodness… so I ordered a 16 oz for myself. TASTY! It’s not even«green» in color either, yet tastes so divine. This place sells plenty of organic items and I’m confident I’ll be back again! :)

This is a great lunch spot if you are looking for something fresh, delicious and healthy! All the employees have been welcoming and friendly. They serve fresh juices, smoothies, and shakes. All are available with add-ons such as spirulina powder, Acai powder, local raw honey, kale/spinach greens. You can even get shots of wheatgrass or aloe vera. Please see my photo for the bar menu. There is also a stamp card you can pick up– buy 10 drinks and the 11th is free! You can also pick up an assortment of sandwiches which are all vegan. There is a vegan chicken salad, vegan veggie wrap, vegan bolon(bologna?) wrap or sandwich, vegan salami wrap or sandwich, eggless egg salad, and a Mediterranean sandwich. You can also get a side of guacamole or some chia pudding. My favorites so far is the eggless egg salad. More menu options can be seen on their Facebook page. At this time, their website( ) pretty much just gives you their contact info. My only gripe is that parking is on the side streets. The adjacent parking lot is actually marked off for the photo shop and the cocktail bar… don’t ask me why! I wish they would share some parking spots with Nature’s. I could see this place being hard to access if business picks up more.

Finally, a lunch downtown that doesn’t always leave me sluggish in the afternoon! I give major credit to this locally grown juice bar and market. With humble beginnings they’ve built up quite the cult following and were able to move into the old Henley’s building on H Street. Here, the store is 10 times the size(ok, maybe a slight exaggeration) but it feels so much more open than the previous location. The huge windows let in tons of beautiful natural light. They’ve really done a nice job with this space, it’s quite welcoming! The juice bar has expanded dramatically. It takes up the entire left hand side of the store. Complete with half a dozen chairs and a large window to sit in. It makes for a great afternoon break. Plus it’s across the street from the Fox which makes for great people watching. The juices are great as always. I had the Ally Baba on my last visit. The pineapple really ramped up this drink. Perfect amount of tartness. I also had the veggie wrap for lunch. It was the perfect amount of food and quite filling. The shredded beets added a nice sweetness to the wrap, and the dressing side was delicious. While we were finishing up our lunch the owner came around and spoke with us, asking how we liked the food/drinks. It means a lot when the owner is that proactive in their business and work amongst their employees. As we were leaving I overheard him discussing with another patron their future aspirations including opening a drive thru window! Sounds like this business is here to stay in our beautiful downtown, and nothing makes me happier than a small business success story.

If you are looking for food that is both healthy and delicious in Bakersfield, this may be the only game in town. Everything about this restaurant/store is worthy of 5 stars, from the bang-for-buck to the service. Here’s a rundown: 1. Atmosphere: This restaurant has moved a couple blocks to a new location on H Street, so make sure to check where your phone’s map program is taking you. The new location is in the heart of downtown Bakersfield, in the city’s most walkable area. Inside, the look is clean, spacious, and functional — take a look at the photo I posted to get a better sense. Nature Food Market is half restaurant, half Vegan grocery store. 2. Food: Almost everything here is Vegan, with the exception of a few products that contain eggs. That being said, the food is pretty damn good! It also leaves you feeling healthy, instead of in a greasy burger-induced food coma. I ordered a Vegan salami wrap, which consisted of the Vegan salami, some shredded carrots, and lettuce. Tasty, fresh, simple, and filling. I also had a side of their guacomole with a bag of organic tortilla chips, which was good enough. To wash it down, I had some of their carrot juice(no sugar is added), which was sweet and delicious. I tried a few samples of their deserts, which were good as well. I think a person’s stomach will often tell them whether the food they just ate was good for you or bad for you. When you feel like crap after eating a greasy burger, it’s your stomach telling you«wtf bro.» After eating here, I felt healthy and energetic! It was refreshing. I would definitely try one of their fruit smoothies and a wrap, particularly the fake salami one. Overall, a 5⁄5 for food that was a rare combination of both healthy and delicious. 3. Service: A dude named Edgar worked the counter here, and you could tell he was both passionate about the food and enjoyed his job. He was friendly and knowledgeable, making recommendations and small talk. Edgar told me the business is family-owned, and is growing every year. 4. Price: For the quality of food you get here, the prices are pretty cheap. I got away with a salami wrap, a big bag of organic tortilla chips, fresh guacamole, and a carrot juice for around $ 12. That, my friends, is a very good deal. Virtually every menu item here is under $ 10, so this place won’t break the bank like some LA Vegan joints. Overall, even though it doesn’t quite feel«restauranty» inside, this is my favorite place to eat in Bakersfield.
