This used to be a Kragen. Now, I’m not a big fan of Kragen, so when I saw it switched to O’Reilly… I was pretty pleased. O’Reilly is a good source of stuff, you can’t always find… and their prices are pretty decent. I walked in, smile on my face and friendly. Asked a couple of questions, then asked where the MAF cleaner was. Guy, gives me kind of a snide look and points over to row 5B. Pick up the cleaner I was looking for, went back to him and asked if he knew much about cars. Now, it USED to be a given… guy working in auto parts store, knows cars. Nowadays, you can’t trust that. He scoffs at my question and I explain the situation. Now, when my wife(who is clueless about cars) can describe what happened to the car, in far less detail… and I can narrow it down to a filter or a sensor over the phone… I expect someone who scoffs at the car question, to have a more knowledgeable answer. Not the case, here. If you’re going to be a «car expert» with attitude, then know wtf you’re talking about. While I’m sure they’ll get at least 1 more visit from me, as I like the chain… if I get more of the same, I will contact their corporate offices. This is a once proud chain, that appears to be going to crap, at least in the Bako area.
