We stopped and had lunch here today. Everything was OK nothing extra special just OK. There are many many Phở restaurants in Bakersfield and some of them are extremely good others are just OK.

Great food. I’ve always love coming here for lunch but sometimes I’m not fan of the service. Sometimes I would be waiting for my food or the server to finally get my order. Therefore, overall it’s an okay Vietnamese restaurant

This is my favorite phở place in Bakersfield! I live in SoCal so I’m spoiled with a lot of yummy phở, but this place is definitely not bad. I wish they would go a little easy on the salt because I find myself pouring some hot water to make it less salty. I also really like the Bun Bo Hue, its my favorite!

Pros: –a large phở bowl is definitely a large –they bring out a huge plate of veggies for you Cons: –phở is watered down –they give you fatty meats –bowl comes out lukewarm 3 stars for decent phở in Bakersfield. Could be better though.

This place has always been my go to for fast, friendly service. Food is always made to order and fresh! I don’t feel bogged down or go into a coma after eating here. Great PHO! I suggest the chicken one with a hoison drizzle. You must get the pork rolls as well! My favorite non Phở dish is the 5 spice chicken, def top notch flavor going on, nice grilled teriyaki flavors!

We enjoy the food, but often ask for it to go — the kitchen/prep area is very cluttered and distracting as its in full view of customers while eating. Usually a view of shipping containers, spilled items, discarded bags & exposed kitchen mechanics. I would like to try the full restaurant experience here again if they get things organized and cleaned up on the prep side.

Been here twice in as many weeks. Service has been good, orders taken drinks refilled etc. The food is good too, we have had some beef noodle soups, pork ribs and lemon grass chicken. Last time took a paper menu to go, plan on trying this place as a to go alternative.

I’ve been here a couple times and I do love it. The service was great and food was awesome too. I ordered the beef spicy phở and the grilled pork rolls, which were both delicious. ALTHOUGH, I don’t think the beef spicy phở is actually spicy. I actually kept adding hot sauce to mine because I love spicy food. But other than that, I would recommend this place.

My wife wanted phở and since we have tried so many different paces, we decided to go to this restaurant. I called in to pick up and they told me that it would take about 15 – 20 mins. By the time I got there, I had to wait 10 mins more. We got the Vegetarian phở with tofu and veggie broth, vegetarian spring rolls, phở tai and chicken spring rolls. Everything was delicious. We will order here again.

It’s been cold out here so this place have been really busy! There spring rolls are the best in town! My favorite is their grilled pork spring rolls. I basically customize my «phở» or the soup I want and how I like it. There are very accommodating. I get the seafood phở(small or large, depending how hungry I am lol) with the noodles from #15, which is there special spicy pork phở. I like those noodles better, white, round, and soft. I like it so much I get extra noodles from #15LOL I have also tried other foods and it’s all very good, like spicy and salt paper chicken, eggplant with chicken, or salt and spicy fried pork. Everything is pretty tasty. Sometimes though when they are busy, they should get more workers to help.

Alright, hold up. I read a couple of negative reviews about Phở Hut, which literally punctures my heart, because I love Phở Hut, with the love of a thousand princes, a thousand winds, a thousand sonnets. This place is actually my jam. I’ve been going here for a long time so that maybe explains a bit about why I would have a different perception of the service — the servers know my wife and I, they always know my order before I do, and I understand why it might take a while to get your food… they’re normally pretty busy. Here’s the thing, though. When you take jabs at their food. I can’t do that. I can’t take that from you. I can’t hear you say those words. It’s not okay with me and it feels like you’re attacking my first-born son. I love their food. It’s just good stuff. It makes me feel like I’m home. I once ate at Phở Hut twice in one day with zero regrets. That’s just how I choose to live my life, dog. I’ve tried a lot off the menu but have settled on only two dishes: seafood phở & lemongrass chicken over vermicelli. Both are excellent. Don’t fight me on this. I will win, and I will destroy you. Oh, and also get the grilled chicken spring rolls, if you’re feeling testy. They’ve gotten a little bit more expensive over the years, yes, but that’s because they’ve gotten more popular. If you don’t understand how this works, take Economics 101 at your local community college and you’ll learn a thing or two. I’m aware that I’m being excessively belligerent in this review and I apologize for this. I mean you no disrespect or hostility, you’re probably a wonderful person, and I hope you have prosperity, many children, fruitful crops, and that you live forever. But if you talk mess about Phở Hut, you toe the line between life and death.

Terrible(slow and very inattentive) customer service. Waiter didn’t even bring utensils for soup until we eventually were able to get his attention and ask. Gross chicken dish(every single piece had a bunch of gristle) and I was forced by employee to pay for the chicken even though I took only two bites out of the meal before sending it back. I’ve NEVER been to a restaurant that made you pay for food that the customer found too unappetizing to eat! I would have tried again a different night but not after paying my hard earned money for an entire meal that I couldn’t choke down!

Friendly service and delicious food! I love their bahn mi and crispy egg rolls. The phở tai was super flavorful and the meat was nice and tender. This is our go-to Vietnamese restaurant!

For some reason I have been putting off writing this review. What you get in food, you lack in service. If this is your first experience with Vietnamese food then this would be a good start for your basics. All the food are fairly decent and less than $ 11. Their pork rolls with peanut sauce are a family favorite and so is the phở. It does take awhile to get your order though. If you are looking for the whole experience of food + service don’t expect to find it here. Every time I’ve been here, and yes I mean every time, the service was bad. My mom enjoys this place so I’ll continue coming back. This is mainly because you can’t say no to free food.

Man, I don’t know what I’m going to do, I’m not sure the battle between a wait staff that ignores you and a decent bowl of phở is worth it. Yeah, the food is pretty good, but when you almost have to stand up and walk to the counter just to get someone to even acknowledge you’re there, somethings wrong. I’m sure I’ll be back and whine about their terrible service again.

It took me more than a few times to decide whether I like this place or not. The verdict? Just average. I’m not a big fan of their phở. There’s a really strong distinctive flavor or ingredient they use, which I don’t like(not sure what it is) and the broth is extremely bland. But it might not be apparent to most people because my friends like it just fine. So, I come for their Bun Bo Hue. if you want it extra spicy, let them know. It’ll probably come out not as spicy, so ask for extra chili sauce. They make their broth to accommodate the majority who cannot handle the spiciness, so I always ask for extra, extra chili sauce on the side. Phở Hut is the only place I would dare to order Bun Bo Hue. It’s not the best, but its decent enough. This is a hard dish to make, so If you know a better place, please remember to recommend!

It’s probably time for another update! Again, our rating of this place hasn’t changed. It’s still a solid 4 stars for us, and this time — we’ve tried more entrees on their menu, which warrants an updated review! (1) chicken basil over a bed of vermicelli noodles — delicious! this dish comes with either rice or noodles, and i choose the noodles. it reminds me of the vermicelli bowls on their menu, but it’s covered with chicken tossed w/basil, onions and jalapenos. the flavors are delicious and spicy! :) yummos… (2) grilled five spice chicken plate — plenty of chicken, grilled to perfection, comes paired with either rice or vermicelli noodles. there is skin on the chicken though, not sure if you like that. it reminds me of their pork chop plate, but it’s chicken instead of red meat.

Got phở and Lemmon grass beef. Both dishes were very good and the portions were very large. The phở was a little bit on the salty side… aaaaalmost too much but still really good. My only real complaint was that the water cups were kind of dirty and the water had a strange taste like bleach. I would definitely recommend the food though and I would come back for sure.

I’m sorry to say, our experience was rather lackluster. We arrived at noon on a Monday to what was a very full restaurant. We were seated in about five minutes, but then were proceeded to be ignored. Honestly, I’ve never had this happen. Our closed menus were even at the tables edge; the universal body language for«We’re ready to order!» I scanned the crowd and tried to make eye contact with one of the employees. I understand they were busy, but at the very least something could have been said. Just a hint of acknowledgement would have been nice. It was just really weird. When we did have service it was brief yet polite. But incredibly brief. No drink refills or checking up on us after food was served. Not sure how I feel about that. I have had a hankering for Bun Bo Hue, and this was one of two places in Bakersfield that I knew had it on the menu. I was craving something spicy and filling. Sadly, this was not it. The noodles were tasty, but that’s where it ended. The meat was extremely fatty and could have use some trimming. And spicy? Not even close. Not even a little. I didn’t expect my socks to be blown off, but when I order a dish that is normally spicy, I want my tongue to tingle with delight. Unfortunately, I was left with a pretty forgettable bowl of Bun Bo Hue.
