Horrible service. I ordered on line and came in at the time indicated and my order had not even been started!!! I was late back to work so pissed!!!

Our family really enjoys making our own pizzas at PizzaRev on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield. The pizza artists, like Kenneth, are super nice. Also, they’re extremely responsive on Twitter. Cool company, delicious pizza made just the way I like it. :)

Pizza Rev… this is the place my son and I love to frequent. I guess you could call it «our spot». Customer service was awesome today. Fast and courteous. They’ve always been good to us but today they were extremely pleasant. My pizza was de-lish as usual but they had The Smiths playing while we dined there and that is 4 stars worthy. Had lunch with my boy, great service, great pizza, and 80’s music. My afternoon couldn’t have been any better.

Five stars for the vegan sausage! So delicious and tastes yummier than the real thing. Finally something other than veggies on my pizza. That’s what sets this place apart from all the other customize pizza places. A must try topping.

First time in. Pizzas look great, but the workers are… not the best That may be harsh but since it was my FIRST visit EVER,(and I told him so). I told the young man taking my order it would be TOGO. Me — «So are the pizzas all cooked or can you get them like a „ready to bake“ to take home?» For whatever reason he thought this was funny and started laughing at me… major points taken away. I asked why he was laughing because it was my first visit to the establishment and I didn’t know. He mumbled something… also, do they have a mandatory«swirl» method? I swear the girl ladling the sauce on the dough must have circled each little pizza 20 times. It was awkwardly long. So I ordered four COOKED pizzas to go. Nothing impressive. Got the double dough on all of them which is pretty doughy(Next time I will get the thin crust). I ordered the Mushroom served with white sauce, the Classic which is red sauce and pepperoni(your choice of spicey or regular), Margherita(Basil, mozzarella and red sauce) and a simple olive oil with extra garlic and mozzarella. Ok. They were cooked. NOT piping hot by the time I got home, which was why I originally asked if you could take them home«ready to bake!» I will know better for next time. Personally if I am going to have ANY pizza at home, I prefer to get the take home and bake kind so that they are hot and bubbly! If I go back, I’ll know better to dine in. I only gave it two stars because half of the dining experience you get also depends on the service which(sadly) was definately lagging.

Eclectic, trendy, ambiance bespeaks of being cool, speaking as an Italian, this is an abomination to pizza, never the less, it is acceptable, the topping idea is interesting,(where you can pile on toppings at no additional cost), The crust although, has the taste of a season less toasted cracker, with a taste that is reminiscent of a thin dog biscuit. The service was excellent, they moved customers through the line quickly, and helped customers to decide, to keep the line from stalling. The help was positive, friendly and the pizza was ready in 5 minutes or less. The restaurant was immaculately clean which endues confidence in the food preparation.

Quick and easy for a famiy meal. Everyone gets what they want with the great variety of topping and unlimited selection per pie! My kids loved it! Only complaint… need a few more beer/wine selections for the parents! ;)

I came here on a special event day for $ 5 pizzas with confirmation of «Liking» their Facebook page. There was a long line down out the door and it wasn’t a fast moving line but I understand why. The pizza was very good except the sauce! The sauce tasted like a sugary spaghetti sauce. It was not good at all. But, I still enjoyed my pizza. My 18 month old son loved it too and had it all over his face.

PizzaRev just falls short. My hubby and I arrived on a Tuesday evening. There were four people in line in front of us. Somehow we still stood in line for over 25 minutes. The service was incredibly slow. I mean super slow. The girl who put the toppings on our pizza seemed disinterested in us and our pizza, as she was preoccupied with eavesdropping on her coworkers’ conversation behind her. She kept turning around and staring at them while just dropping the toppings on our pizza. I mean she really wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing. If you look at the photo you can see how the pizza just looks«thrown together». This really irked me. They burnt my hubby’s pizza… so bad to the point that they had offered to make another one. Here’s the kicker: they didn’t cut my pizza into slices… Seriously? They just served it to me whole. By the time my hubby’s new pizza came out & they cut my pizza, it was cold. Bummer. The red sauce tasted like plain jarred spaghetti sauce from the grocery store. That was a huge disappointment after the bad customer service. The pizza was just pizza. Nothing special and definitely not worth $ 8. I’ll stick with Boss Pizza or Blaze Pizza.

Best thin crust pizza I have ever eaten! Whenever me and my husband travel to LA this is our food vista point :) They make the pizza dough in front of you, spread the fresh sauces and you can chose your own toppings amongst myriad of vegetarian & non vegetarian options available. The best part is when they bake the pizza in open flame ! Haven’t eaten any pizza better than this one !

My first time here and I was impressed! It’s like a chipotle, but for pizza. I seriously threw every type of meat possible on my pizza and the price is still the same. If you like pizza, and who doesn’t…this is the best place to go. The only downside is the soda machine. It’s a movie theater electronically dispensed machine. So waits can be a little long. Just get beer and avoid the soda line!

The pizza was delicious. The first time I went it was greasy and nasty. I order a pizza from their small menu, but this time I actually just customize my own and it turned out good. It’s not as good as boss pizza, but it was good for a Sunday night. The customer service was bad. It wasn’t even busy that night. The workers were extremely rude to my friend who is a vegetarian. Obviously you don’t put meat products near a vegetarians pizza.

Pizza Rev has its own reasons why it’s a great place to eat: they allow unlimited toppings for under nine dollars, they are not stingy with their toppings, they have one of those nifty coke machines with tons of options, and they are fast. Their dough has a good taste and they have tons of cheese, veggie, and meat options. The location is also pretty new and is kept clean. I love their fire pit they have outdoors. It’s a little treat for an evening meal under the moon on a fresh night. Try it out if you haven’t yet. You can make your own pizza(or salad) or choose a pre-created one and you’ll be eating within minutes of completing your order. Yum!

My hubby and I loved this new build your own pizza concept. My hubby loves pizza and we always hate that other pizza places charge you additional $$ for additional toppings, so this was awesome. We also really liked that it was made on a thin crust… So much healthier(although I do enjoy a nice fluffy crust… Bad Rachael, bad!) and it was very yummy. The floor was a little dirty… There were some wrappers on the floor and the tables needed to be wiped. But we did go a little bit later in the evening, so we might have just come in after a rush, and they just hadn’t got to the cleaning and it was getting close to closing time… Not that it’s an excuse, but I just don’t know if it was just our timing, and not the norm. The restroom was clean, so that was a plus. The service was very friendly and helpful. We had one pizza and one salad and we shared. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us and it was delish!

Fyi, I’m not a pro. I’m just a normal guy who loves to eat. I started Unilocaling so I could help others find delicious places to eat. So, I’ve had many people ask me which pizza place is better, «Boss Pizza Company or Pizza Rev?» I hope my review below helps answer that question. I’ve had the opportunity to come here twice, and both times I was iffy on the place. The first time I came here I really enjoyed this place. As soon as I walked in the girl at the counter greeted me with a warm welcome. We were asked if we have ever visited this establishment. Once we said no, she quickly went on to explain how things work at Pizza Rev. All I really got was that I could order a pizza with ASMANY toppings as I wanted and it was $ 8.25. I jumped on it and ordered a cheese, pepperoni, spicy pepperoni, more cheese, sausage, bacon, canadian bacon, green peppers, and jalapeño pizza. I was excited to see what my creation would taste like. The pizza came out promptly and I was pleasantly surprised. The thin crust was cooked just fine and not burnt. Though I had piled on the toppings, they still cooked through and the crust wasn’t soggy in the middle(ahem, Cubbies). The difference from Boss Pizza was that obviously I could pile on as many toppings as I wanted and that did not negatively affect the quality of the pizza. However, the tomato sauce wasn’t as tasty as Boss’s original tomato sauce. Still, this visit had me considering Pizza Rev as my new favorite individual pizza spot. My second visit didn’t go as planned. I unfortunately saw what other people had experienced at this establishment. This was about half an hour before close and they had a mini rush going. The girl at the counter was not as friendly as the girl on my first visit. She also seemed very lazy. My pizza crust came out deformed and she wasn’t as polite in making sure I got all the toppings I wanted on my pizza. She assumed many times and didn’t once ask me if there were enough toppings, if I wanted more, or if there was anything else I would like on my pizza. She also assumed my brother wanted the tomato sauce. He wanted the Alfredo sauce, but just went on with her assumption. This girl was obviously running on «I don’t care autopilot» and couldn’t wait to get off. Fortunately, as we went down the line we were helped out by Brianna(I’m not sure if I spelled this right). She was amazing. She was interacting with all the customers and was extremely friendly. I wanted to make sure I specifically mentioned her as I feel she is overqualified for her job. Brianna made me feel like everything would be okay though I had a deformed pizza. Once our pizzas came out, I realized this wasn’t the same quality as before. Parts of my crust were burnt, I had a few pepperonis and olives that came out burnt as well. Some of the toppings still felt cold and I could just taste disappointment in every bite I took. My brother also was not a big fan of his pizza and actually let me finish it for him since I was still hungry. He immediately stated, «Dude, Boss Pizza is way better.» At that point I agreed. He also pointed out that the sauce used at Boss Pizza is a lot more flavorful and their crust had a more pleasurable seasoning. I specifically don’t remember anything on their crust, but I did remember the sauce. The atmosphere here is a little more contemporary. I like the décor of the place. It kind of looks like a newer Chipotle, but with pizza. Their outdoor patio with the burning flame is pretty cool, and they get a few points for that. However, the bad customer service, terrible pizza presentation, and overall lack of care/quality from the employees ruined this second visit. I would gladly pay Boss Pizza that extra dollar and drive the extra distance for their delicious pizza. Sorry Pizza Rev, I’ve had better.

Why it’s good: 1. Service is fast and for the most part good 2. Food is good 3. Cool soda machine 4. Sriracha for my pizza! Why it’s meh: 1. Employee gave me mad tude when I asked her to put pineapples on my pizza but not super wet ones 2. Bathrooms could be cleaner… maybe checked more often. I’ll be back. This is a good spot.

Bakersfield finally opened a «create your own pizza» with unlimited amounts of toppings at your choosing. The team is friendly and and very inviting. I recommend this place this!

I’m not a huge pizza fan but this pizza was amazing! I loved it! Maybe it was the combination of toppings I chose idk but seriously go try it ;) You can get one of their signature ones or create your own which is what I did. White sauce, chicken, bacon, Canadian bacon, spinach, jalapenos, artichokes, Sun dried tomatoes and sausage all for $ 8.25!

The most common phrase I heard during my visit here was«this is pizza, Chipotle style» and by Chipotle style, they mean build your own pizza in an assembly line fashion. You can chose to build your own pizza or pick one from the menu(BBQ chicken, margherita, fennel & sausage, just to name a few) and build on it as you move down the assembly line. Both the meat and veggie offerings were impressive. I would’ve liked the green bell peppers to be sliced instead of diced, but that’s a minor detail. The pizza bread definitely isn’t the traditional kind. This is an assembly line, so the crust is extra thin to allow for a short cooking time to finish your order. It has a crispy flatbread texture. There’s also a gluten free option. Pizzas are priced ~$ 8-$ 9 to build your own and the entire wait time to order and cook was about 5 minutes on a weekday afternoon. The soda machine is that new Coke one that has options galore. In general, lots of customization going on in this place. The choices can be overwhelming, but they sure are tasty.
