Starbucks

If you want to listen to the baristas complain about their personal lives, their jobs, customers, or whatever else they’re dealing with this is the Starbucks for you. I was totally unimpressed and turned off by this place.
Not only did they bring an uncomfortable atmosphere to the shop, but they brought a whole lot of negativity. I would be shocked if no one else complained about this place. However, when I spoke with a Target manager, this is an ongoing problem here and he assured me it would be taken care of that day. In fact, he did take care of it right after our conversation.
I sat in the lounge area eating my popcorn and drink from the Target Café. So, I can’t say anything about their coffee making skills because I didn’t make a purchase and I don’t drink coffee. However, you can ask them if they’re good at making drinks because they had all of theirs lined up on the trash can so they can conveniently sip on them during their shift and they made several samples for themselves.
I’m glad that I don’t frequent any Starbucks, but I can tell you that not only are they making themselves look bad, they’re making Starbucks AND Target look bad. It’s a shame!

This is a great location because of the girl who is running the place! Not sure of her name, but she has tattoos and piercings. She is on it and makes sure that the people working are making the orders right. Really great location to get a perfectly made mocha when your doing your shopping in target.

Good service love the people and the energy! Always so polite and fast with the Service. Been coming here for a while and have nothing but good positive energy from Starbucks

I love Starbucks but there is something about the employees inside of target locations that is terribly off. They are never friendly and give the impression you are not worth their time. I am a frequent customer at many locations but was in shock when the barista refused to give me a cup of water after I’d just stopped by from a bike ride in the Bakersfield heat. I hope Starbucks takes notice of locations like these and provides training in customer service.

Don’t let the blonde heat up your panini unless you prefer a mess to a sandwich. She threw it into the bag. Half the filling fell out. I’m on the road traveling, this is unacceptable. The store wasn’t even that busy. Avoid her.

This Starbucks is inside of the Target on Stockdale Hwy and does not differ from others as far as the product. I had to drop 2 Stars because of the service. The cashier taking the order was extremely slow and seemed to be to caught up with looking at other customers passing by.
I also asked about non-​caffeine frappes since my kids wanted something like that and he was able to tell me a couple but faltered on a few others as to whether they had caffeine or not. Whatever the case, he was tripping himself up and finished taking the order.
I ordered a Venti «Black Eye», Dark Roast Ice Coffee with no cream and two pumps of the classic syrup. My wife wanted a Venti Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher, my older son ordered a Grande Cotton Candy Frappé and my younger son ordered a Double Chocolate Chip Frappé. The drinks took a bit longer than most Starbucks but we weren’t in too much of a hurry.
Customer service wise I have experienced better at other more heavy customer traffic. Maybe it was someone new (cashier) or maybe it was just the time of the day and businesses will get sluggish. My drink was still doing its job which is wake me UP!

This Starbucks is located inside the Target store on Stockdale Hwy. They serve the same delicious hot and cold Starbucks drinks as the stand alone locations. There is even a small bakery display case with banana walnut bread, pumpkin bread, iced lemon pound cake and cake pops. You can also buy breakfast sandwiches and wraps, but their food offerings are more limited than the larger locations There are quite a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and munchies.
What I didn’t know, until today, is that you can even use your Starbucks card to pay for your drink. I used the app on my iPhone and they swiped it. I had always assumed (silly me) that since the Starbucks was inside the store that would not be able to use my Starbucks card there. I’ve certainly never visited a Starbucks inside a hotel that let me use my card but they took it with a smile here.
The barrista helpfully explained that you can not only pay for your beverage with a Starbucks card, but that if you’ve registered it as part of their loyalty program that you can still accrue stars with every purchase just like at a regular stand alone Starbucks. The only difference at this location is that you can’t redeem your stars for a free drink. I think I can deal with those terms.
Now I know that I can shop at Target with a Starbucks in my grubby little hands any time I wish and that’s a good feeling.

The only way I can tell that it’s Christmas season in California is Starbucks’ seasonal offering of the amazing gingerbread latte. My little tip? The standard way they make the gingerbread latte is too sweet for me. I ask for a «grande two-​pump» gingerbread latte. They only put two pumps of the syrup in and it ends up being less sweet!
Convenient distance from my office. The girls that work here are generally friendly and quick about the orders, although I could use more smiles from them every now and then, especially in the morning. Nobody likes looking at a grumpy goose in the morning while getting their coffee.
