I’m at this coffee shop almost every weekend. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the scones are good.

Nice quiet spot on the far east part of town; right in my neighborhood. They make all kinds of speciality coffee drinks (a lot like Starbucks) and the prices are about the same. The staff is very friendly and get your drinks out to you quickly. They also sell pastries to go with your drinks and have a good size parking lot. The loby and bathrooms are clean. Nice addition to this side of town.

Great quiet place to get together with a friend. No better way to do it then over coffee. Like one other Unilocaler mentioned, it would be great for them to add sandwiches to their menu. This place is opened during lunch and dinner hours… so why not?

I think that the summit coffee house with Pete’s coffee is the most relaxing place you can be in all of Bakersfield. As you walk out the door you can look to the south and see the whole mountain range from our van to the back to Taft. The coffee was very nice service is excellent and

Summit Coffee is spacious, quiet, free wifi, and a relaxing place to go. The coffee has much better flavor than Starbucks IMO, and pricing isn’t bad. There’s only two things I’d like to have done there though. 1. Something other than the news on TV. People go to get away from the world, not be reminded of it. 2. I would love to see sandwiches and some healthy lunch options available there. Regardless of these two things, still a great place to go.

Clean, spacious, strong flavorful coffee, and a friendly staff. In the winter, there’s always a fire burning in the large fire place next to the cozy couch. In the evenings, you can hear band members practicing and preparing for service. Warning, service can be slow if you go when crowded, but I clicked 5, due to location, beautiful outside patio overlooking the Foothills and extremely good coffee.

I don’t know much about this coffee shop other than it belonging to Canyon Hills church right next to it, but I enjoy my stay every time I go to study or read. Drinks are great, baristas are always very nice, and there is water on the side just in case those chai teas took over your taste buds. I enjoy this location and there should be more like it. Also, I like that it looks similar to a Starbucks and with respect, even though it’s owner by the Christian church it doesn’t make you feel like your walking into a religious location. Once again, great location and I do recommend it to others near this area even though they don’t go to the church.

Great little hidden gem to have coffee and get away from the maddening Starbucks crowds! Absolutely love how you can have some peace and quiet at this coffee spot. They serve Peets, have plenty of space, and the wifi is always a plus. Best part is that it’s only walking distance for me!
Will definitely be returning here to study.
