Bistro Bal Harbour

We went for dinner. The catch of the day fish and skirt steak were good. The cocktails were tasty — white sangria and half cuban. Sides were good too. Friendly service.

I had dinner at the bistro around 6pm on a Sunday night and the views were incredible. The staff was friendly and the wine list had nice selections, including my favorite chardonnay, Sonoma Cutrer Russian River Ranches. I ordered the lamb shank and the presentation was really nice. It came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The lamb was fatty and the vegetables were a little under cooked. I expected more from The Ritz, especially one in Bal Harbour. I don’t think I would return, but the staff, views, and wine made up for the less than amazing meal this time.

I have been coming to Mister Collins/​Bistro Bal Harbour for years now. I am normally SO pleased with the food and the service. Yesterday was an exception. The food was pretty terrible and certainly not worth the $ 132 that my friend and I paid.
Since it’s changed management, I’ve been there for brunch which is still pretty delicious. However, yesterday, I brought a friend here for the first time for lunch and we were disappointed. The skirt steak was tough and the burger definitely wasn’t anything to write home about. The best part of our meal was the tuna tartar but even so, I’ve had better.
I expect more from the Ritz Carlton and as a customer who has been coming to this place for years, I do hope that you improve and bring this restaurant back to the glory that it used to be. The service was still pretty good so for that and the amazing view, I might still come to visit the bar. As for the food during lunch time, I probably wouldn’t go again. I gave it 3 stars based on what it used to be and on the service. Had it been just for the food, I would give this restaurant 1 star.

We love Dorothy! Honestly this was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Beautiful setting, over the top service and delicious food. Don’t miss this fantastic dining experience. Hopefully you get Dorothy!

Had lunch at the Bistro last August 10. Expected Ritz-​Carlton quality and ended up very disappointed. Tasteless food at an outrageous price. Wine by the glass was vented. Good service, but what is the point? I wanted to honor my guest and ended up embarrassed. Worse, when I mentioned the problem to the reception desk, they remained aloof and did nothing. Save your money and go elsewhere. But for the price and the outlandish automatic service charge, the Bistro is not in the Ritz-​Carlton league.

New management introducing new menu and entertainment for it’s guest. I love the red snapper ceviche and the guacamole with chips. What a great new restaurant concept for the Ritz Carlton. They have daily specials which I recommend because the fresh catch on the grill or steamed always comes out delicious.
Their weekend brunch are pretty cool they have live music and a nice setup on the patio to overlook the ocean. They have chicken and waffles, cinnamon French toast, and much more. There is a bottomless mimosa for $ 25 or a glass for $ 16.
