The food here and all the other flanigans are always on point in my opinion. I’ve been coming to this location for a while and never had a complaint. Great place to eat, drink and bring the family to.

A couple blocks from the sea, Flannigan’s is decked out with enchanting fisherman’s wharf motif, and the beer, the food, the appetizers and the prices will dazzle you. Great service, too. For example, after 10pm when you order a pitcher of beer you get a free portion of wings, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Come here on a date or with buddies to watch sports, or both.

I’ve been to this particular restaurant years ago when I use to live in Bay Harbor during my undergrad. I enjoyed the service and food so much then I decided to return with my family. Well today was different! For starters, our waiter Marcos was courteous but seemed new. He had to ask to see if they offered a cider beer(angry orchard) which seemed amateur. But I did understand. And then the fiasco happened, a group of three had an intoxicated friend sitting behind us. He got up and vomited all over the floor. Talk about lost of appetite! The waiter(s) did not come to check on the nearby seated patrons in regards to a possible replacement(in which I would have probably agreed too). I didnt want to ask the waiter in front of the guest to avoid embarrassing them, so we decided not too. They moped the vomit up with no type of cleaner and carried on. We recieved our appetizers(potatoe wedges) which was alright. My mother received dirty utensils and Marcos was no where to be seen. We had to finally ask another waitress for new utensils. Then I discovered a hair strand in one of the wedges that I grabbed. I tried not to make a big fuss and told a nearby manager(only one who checked in on us) to take it away. I was willing to still pay but he suggested that we didnt. Marcos came out and I saw him speak to the waiter who grabbed our plate. Another server spoke to Marcos and they both shared a discreet non verbal dissaproval of our table in a humorous way. In which I caught and was not happy about. From then on the atmosphere was arkward and our waiter Marcos sat across from us folding napkins. He could see that I was bothered and or waiting for something but never got up to check. I asked another waiter for blu cheese and he was not happy about that for he got up and stated that we could ask him if we needed anything. Our appetite was ruined after the vomit fiasco and unwanted tension and we departed early. I asked to speak to the manager about the servers having full beards and training for servers on how to deal with vomit situations. The manager didn’t seem to be deterred from my suggestion and dismissed me in a subtle way. We were also charged for honey mustard for my little sister’s dipping sauce. Really! –_– I gave our waiter Marcos a good tip(15%), for I do understand how stressful waiting tables can be. But it was one of the most arkward experiences ever!!! I’m still scratching my head on this one. :(

The food is good and cheap, but this bar has one of the worse services I’ve experienced in my life. Terrible staff.

Perfect for casual dining with kids. Food was tasty. Waiters were very attentive. When offering a pitcher special, as they had the day we were there, it might be beneficial for waiters to be informed of what style beers they have and what’s local. If you want to sit outside, you need to be a party of two(or less) because of sidewalk restrictions. Parking in back makes it easy to access.

Didn’t like the experience. Walked in for a quick lunch. Staff didn’t seem nice and didn’t seem to show a lot of interest. Place didn’t smell good enough. And it took forever to get my food and to get out. It’s just didn’t work out. Probably if you wanna drink, watch a game and kill an hour or two that place would work but not in my case. Sorry

Hubby and I stopped here to watch the football games on Sunday. Andrea was amazing! She gave us great recommendations and impeccable service. We shared the firecracker shrimp and half a rack of ribs. The baked potatoe came out overcooked, Andrea noticed, took it away from me and gave me a fresh out of the oven one. I was completely impressed with her service! It’s about the little things… Will definitely come back to visit her next time we are in town. Thank you Andrea you made our first experience memorable!

As one of the few non kosher, casual restaurants in surfside, we eat here a lot. Especially sun — thur when they have their dinner specials. There was a short wait, which is normal as this restaurant is always crowded(again, this is one of few non kosher, casual restaurant) and then we were helped by their hostess who always seems to be in a bad mood. Service here is always hit and miss, with some better than others. Tonight was a miss night. The dinner special comes with a salad and their incredible garlic rolls, but it took so long to get that I honestly thought our entrees would arrive first. They didn’t, and we enjoyed the great salad and rolls Both the husband and I ordered the wing special(10 wings, side, salad, rolls and a drink — wine, beer or soda — for $ 13.99). As always, the food was great. The wings are meaty and nicely seasoned. I get medium which has perfect amount of heat. The only turnoff is they charge extra for celery and carrots, but with so much for $ 13.99, it is hard to complain. Since service was a miss we didn’t get checked on and I had to flag the server down to get a refill, and then again when we wanted boxes and the bill. But she was nice and since we weren’t in a rush it wasn’t a big deal. Which is why we keep going back. Well, that and the garlic rolls. ;)

I like flannigans but not this one. First of all there was water dripping from the air conditioner above us, so we were moved to another table. Can you guess what happened at the new table, yes you guess it dirty nasty mould water was dripping down again. But this time our food was already on the table. So that nasty moldy disgusting water was dripping on my food. And when the manger Mark the very rude ass manager comes to ask us if everything was ok we tell him the situation and he says there is nothing he can do about it and it just condensation. Condensation, maybe but keep in mind it’s from the nasty moldy disgusting air conditioner above us. Do you think he would want that on his food, I would think not. It’s not what you say to people it’s how you say it. Mark the manager learn how to speak to people of you are going to continue your career in the restaurant industry. I do have one good thing to say about this place, our server Jo was the nicest and most attentive server I have had in a while. If you do go to flannigans please ask for Jo she is amazing!!!

We’ve came to this place twice. It has a great location walking distance from our hotel, and really cheap prices. The staff are really nice. We sat outside and ate their famous ribs. The ribs are good, not as much meat as I was expecting. Drinks are good, happy hour margaritas are $ 5.

Great customer service Cons: Smelled like a dirty wet dog! Not very clean. Overall its a kool place with a few tvs to watch sports, a pool table, outside tables and chairs to enjoy the view. So yea ill most likely be back cause its a bar… yep that simple!

The nachos were awesome and a great value for the price. I had the half rack of ribs and wings for dinner. The wings were more than your average as far as phenomenal flavor! The ribs were excellent as well! The only thing I did not like was the service. When they delivered the food they sold the entrees and they should know who got what. I never received a refill on my drink and the server was not attentive and did not check on us!!! We also did not receive silverware when we were sat or when we received our food! They need to up their customer service! Other than that. A great meal!

This placed smelled like a wet dirty rag but I still had a couple of drinks, outside. Service was on the slow side but we were on the last table at the end. We had to wait even though there were so many tables vacant but not cleaned. Only plus I had was the waitress was nice and the beers are really cheap.

We had a great time with friends and family. Server was very patient with our table of 8. The hostess was very accommodating and friendly. All of our food came out at the same time and it was hot and well prepared. Everyone enjoyed their food. The BBQ wings are recommended. The Steak is also a top choice from the table. The restaurant is clean. It’s also a sports bar so there are Tv’s on ever corner. It’s a little noisy but it’s a lively fun atmosphere.

If you’re from south Florida, chances are, you’ve been to a Flanigans, the South Florida version of «that American restaurant» that inspired the epic movie, «Waiting», the«Shenaniganz» style and«flair» wearing place American’s flock to for half priced cocktails and a 2000++ calorie meal. I love coming here as a constant reminder that this is ‘MERICA! All Flanigans décor is exactly the same, halls decked with framed photos of shirtless suntanned men on boats holding their prized catch of the day circa 1987, random boating items hanging on the walls, bobbers/floaters in glass enclosures, and the overall feel that you are at some dive bar in the Caribbean owned by an expat American that just wanted to fish and drink all day and you should just basically be drinking your face off with him as a fellow American. The food here isn’t exactly five star but that’s not why you come here. You come here for inexpensive cheat day food and to take advantage of those cheap drink prices. FOOD: Stick to the seafood. The dolphin sandwich is really good. If you’re not the seafood type, go for the chicken items. Their sauces are delicious. Skip the rices, go for the fries or the onion strings dipped in their house bbq sauce. SPECIALS: There is some kind of food/drink special everyday of the week and after 9:00PM everyday, it’s half priced drinks. PARKING: There is a parking lot just behind the Flanigans that is metered and has a 2 hour limit. All visits come with a side of acid reducer but just keep telling yourself it’s worth it.

I go to Flanigan’s all the time, several locations. This Flanigan’s is significantly superior to the many others I’ve been to. The crowd is a lot calmer and quieter at this location in comparison to those inland. The food is always fresh and the service is always great. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I recommend this Flanigan’s.
