El Pollo Loco

I love going to this location after an exhausting Friday afternoon! Cashiers are so helpful and patient. The food tastes great and their salsa is always fresh! Sucks that the prices went up but I would definately return especially through drive thru they have such great customer service. Way to end the week!

We ordered two piece dinners for our family and the chicken pieces were so tiny (the smallest chicken pieces I have ever seen), so overcooked and so dry — TERRIBLE CHICKEN. The sides were ok but in no way made up for the horrible chicken.
Why do they serve chicken obviously old, overcooked, dried out and terrible looking at this location? Waste of money. We will not return.

Had the worst lunch here today. Stale chips, burrito wasn’t a burrito and the service was horrible. I couldn’t eat with out getting dogged by the cook and I was polite and nice. Besides that the place was nasty. Trash on the floor, the sauce place was messy and the tables weren’t taken care of. Last time I’m coming here for lunch.

This place is horrible the female short manager is always yelling. I payed 7 dollars for a chicken salad and got 5 little peaces of chicken. When I go through the drive through they always forget something. They are stingy with the guacamole sause or any condiment when you go through the drive through

Came around the end of lunch time (2:00) that in my opinion is the best time to go because it’s not as busy and everything is fresh since they are recuperating from the rush. We got the family pack which came with a «chicken pizza» which was interesting and it came with churros for dessert which was a plus. There was not a bad experience with this visit. We will see how things go on the next time around.

We were craving chicken so we went through the drive-​thru, rather than dine in. The girl who was taking our order was very rude and not accommodating at all. We wanted to substitute an item and she refused to accommodate our request among her attitude so we decided to cancel our order and drive to the Pollo Loco in Covina. What a difference! The service and quality is much better at the Covina location. I will never go back to the Baldwin Park one, even if It is closer to me.

The sevice here sucks, especially if you’re using the drive thru like I did. First off the lady that took my order charges me wrong (order charging me) then she gives me someone elses order.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER COME TO THIS POLLO LOCO! I usually don’t come here because I don’t like how they prepare their chicken it’s usually burned, but today I came because my wife is sick and this spot is closer to home AND since your boy here doesn’t know how to cook well enough, I came to get her a tortilla soup. Tell me why my wife opens up her tortilla chip bag and finds literally 3… Not 1… THREE MO FO PUBIC HAIRS!!! FAWK THAT!!! Sure enough came back talked to the manager (which homegirl wasn’t to English savvy) soooo I had too talk to her en eSpanish to explain to her what had happen she did apologize offered to give me a new soup. Pffft please! I said no thanks give me my money back and off I went. You’ve been warned deuces!

I love El Pollo Loco BUT with that said, I DESPISE this location. I usually go in the afternoons, and when I go I hate it so much I stop going for a few months then I eventually return hoping its changed. Not anymore though.
The girl through the drive thru, with acne and petruding canines always rushes through the order, always seems bothered, huge attitude problem. She seriously believes she is the chicken queen. The burritos here are ALWAYS smaller than other locations.
Every time I’ve asked for salsa and guacamole the girl seems bothered, goes and gets the salsas, hands them to me without saying anything then slams the drive thru window shut. Ive had different cars, ive gone w/​other ppl as a passenger and it always surprises how she has the worst customer service yet she is still there chasing business away.
Horrible location, never going back there.

Love El Pollo Loco. This is my go to location after a hard day at work and don’t feel like cooking. I feel good serving my family a good meal that isn’t so fast food. Anyway, tonight we waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes and when we went to order our food I understood why. The girl who was working the drive through left a lot to be desired. Her name was Lillian. We were ordering the 3 course family meal. Easy right? We had to repeat or order to 3 times. She keep saying the family meal. Then she said there was no churros. Ah no! Seriously. Now I know why we had to wait in the drive thru. OMG. When we got our food guess what there were the churros. They really need to get someone else to work the drive thru because she not working.

Went here on Nov.7,2014 me and a friend well my friend ended up getting food poisoning how sad was that my friend got the skinless chicken meal, and now staying away from Baldwin Park El Pollo Loco… Blahh

The thing I dislike about El Pollo Loco is incosistency.
I usually order the original Pollo bowl and everytime the amount of chicken is never the same, there’s times I get 90% of the bowl just rice and beans. I can make a bowl like that at home, also when I order a salad they sometimes forget the creamy cilantro dressing. They also have forgetful employees, when I’m in the drive thru I ask for salsa and they forget to give me some, what’s the point of chicken without some good salsa flavor!

I like the taste here which is marinated better and not just only on the outside! They only gives 2 small containers of salsa but will give more if you ask! I took a point off for sometime being slow and staff speaks little English!

Employees are nice but soap dispenser in women’s rest room broken and empty :/​makes you wonder how employees are washing their hands

I have been coming to this location since before I could remember ! But when they say times are hard, it shows in their service! The place is starting to get neglected ! And it shows in their cleanliness and customer service && now the food !!!
I like el pollo loco over any «fast food place» but my experience was anything but pleasant !
I ordered the mango chicken tostada (which btw is just a sad with mango bits on top of a wheat flour tortilla) ! And it smelled funky !! It had more of a Papaya smell too it ! Weird, so when I went to add salsa to my «tostada» the salsa was FROZEN ! not only frozen but stuck to each other ! I couldn’t even get the cups pulled apart !
I decided to call and speak to the manager, and she played dumb like she didn’t know why only my salsa was frozen“because she was looking at them now, and they seemed fine“
Long story short she got my check number and offered 25% idk if I will be going back, if I do it’s gonna be to utilize that coupon and I won’t be getting salsa !!!
Btw stay away from the Mac and cheese, it’s more watered down and looks like they re heat it and re use it ! This location needs A corporate rep ASAP !

Service here is great! The cashiers are always helpful they remember their repeat customers and always give service with a smile!

First time at this location. Glad I now know where it is because it is close to my job. the employees were very nice and I was able to order and receive my food in just a few minutes. This will definitely be 1 of my go to lunch places.

After a bad experience with this location, I decide to give them another chance at redemption. BIG MISTAKE!
As I patiently stood in line I was neither greeted nor acknowledged, mind you I was the only person in line. After watching the staff run around like chickens without their heads, chit chatting amongst each other, one employee decided my ten minute wait was long enough and graced me by taking my order. The employee approached the cash register and simply stood there staring at me with a confused look on her face. After realizing courtesy was not commonplace at this location, i decided to place my order.
I ordered the skinless chicken breast, vegetable, and salad combo. The chicken was very juicy and full of flavor. Unfortunately, that’s where the flavor ended. The vegetables looked like they were just pulled from the freezer and microwaved too long. The cardboard like taste quickly confirmed this. These vegetables were complimented by a «poor mans» salad which consisted of lettuce, lettuce, and more lettuce. The salad had a few tortilla strips sprinkled on top to balance out the flavor of lettuce.
The dining room was in desperate need of maintenance. After bouncing around from dirty table to dirty table, I decided to settle and sit on the least dirty table of them all.
I believe this horrible location is the bad apple of the tree as my experiences at other pollo loco locations are generally pleasant.

I love Pollo Loco, primarily because i grew up eating it
I must say though, that when i was younger it tasted much better, I don’t know if my flavor palette expanded as I got older or if Pollo Loco changed their recipes, but I enjoy it a little bit less now.
I come here when I want to eat «healthy» lol Don’t judge me
HEY it is much healthier than going to Burger King lol
I LOVE the chicken tostada salad, it’s amazing
My only complaint is that they sell their sides a la carte and it’s either 2 dollars for small cup or 4 dollars for large cups… which seems like such a huge leap… they should have a medium option, no?

Drive thru Pollo Bowl Combo
$ 5.00 for Pollo Bowl, flour tortillas (2), small coke.
No problem with drive thru. Fast service, correct order, food hot.
But they should rename to Rice Bowl. Thin layer beans, even thinner layer chicken cubes, the rest rice! Taste was good but would like to have had chicken in the «Chicken Bowl»!
