I love this place! When you drive by it, it looks like a lonely café that used to be a diner I’m guessing. The two times I’ve gone, there would be either two or three other parties there so it’s pretty quiet. The food was great, yummy garlic naan bread that they refill whenever you ask. They have a good selection, not too little to choose from and everything is pretty filling. To be honest the tea in the dispenser is my favorite thing there lol only cause I love tea & reminds me of hot milk tea. Can’t wait to come back for more

The food was great! I’m so happy to have such great Indian food so close to my house. I’ve eaten at quite a few Indian restaurants and this is really one of the best. I will definitely be going back again and again!

5 stars for their friendly and excellent service, the delicious food and great ambiance. Restaurant parking is huge. We got goat curry, mutton tandoori, dal, butter naan and white rice. It was a perfect portion for four hungry people. By far the best Himalayan food in Los Angeles. I highly recommend this best Himalayan food! We will definitely come back again!

We had a lunch buffet there after we went to Baldwin park animal care center in the area. The food is fresh and tasty. Though they said they served the drink with the meal, we didn’t get anything. You can’t beat 9.99 all you can eat lunch buffet.

I’ve gotten dinner(take out) from here about 3 times now so I’m comfortable giving a quick review. Taste: Delicious, great flavor in everything I’ve had so far. Spice: I tend to air on the milder side here, their medium can get pretty spicy sometimes. But otherwise a good level. Quantity: Good portion sizes, you wont be hungry once you’re done. Atmosphere: Strange to mention this as I do take-out but every time I’ve been there, its essentially been dead. Granted these are always weekdays but I have a theory why, and that is because of the value… Value: Bit pricey for full price food at dinner time tbh(–1 star). Well into the $ 40’s for two of us if we’re each getting our own dish with rice. I think this is one of the attributions to why it is perpetually empty on week nights. I wondered how they stay open and all I had to do was read their other reviews to figure that out, LUNCH. $ 10AYCE lunch is a bargain. I don’t work near enough to go for lunch, I wish I did. Most places charge $ 12+ for lunch buffets where I am. This makes me sad, because I end up paying lots for a meal I very much enjoy at night, but never get to enjoy the same deliciousness for a bargain at lunch. EDIT: Went again the evening after writing this. If I had one tip for the restaurant: Upgrade your take out containers. I like that you clingwrap them to make sure there are no leaks but the quality of the containers is really cheap. We had leftovers and by the morning the curry was starting to seep through the bottom of the container(cheap styrofoam). Look into getting some plastic microwavable soup containers. I’d gladly pay the extra 30c per dish to have containers that wont leak, because I love your food.

Meh. I just ordered in on grub hub& the food took forever& wasn’t worth the overly priced prices. The dinner servings of the chicken tiki masala was literally 8 thin size pieces, $ 12.99 for that? Not to mention the taste of the sauce was bland. The nann was soggy, I really wanted to like this place& I hate writing bad reviews but this was just not good. Damn.

The wife and I had a rare night out, alone! Found this place on Unilocal and had a great time. The food was wonderful and the server was awesome at making suggestions. We will definitely revisit.

Have been meaning to check this place out, but always would forget. This time, my craving for Indian food was too great, so I finally ordered after a session at the gym. I’m a little disappointed at myself that I waited so long to try this awesomeness! Finally an Indian restaurant that’s only 5 mins away — DANGEROUS! I made my order on Unilocal through the online service, and when I got there, most of my meal was ready to go. I was greeted by the gentleman packing my food, and also what appeared to me the owner or manager. I use a walker so, he helped me carry my order to my car, and informed me that if I live nearby that they have free delivery! So, so, dangerous! When I got home, I literally tore open the bag, it smelled so good, and I was so hungry! I ordered Chicken Saag, and the Singada, and they were both so delicious! I opted not to order rice, as I prefer the brown rice I have at home. It paired well with the chicken saag. The singada can be eaten as is! They come with 2 big wraps,(kinda resembles an empanada), but is way more filling. The sauce that came with it also went nicely with the appetizer. The portion size is adequate for the price. I get full fast so for me, I only at half of one of the two singadas, and ¼ of the chicken saag. So this for me has great value. I was kinda nostalgic about coming back to this location, as my bf and I were a big fan of Juan’s Restaurant(old restaurant that took this spot before Himalayan opened up), but I’m glad that even though Juan’s is no longer around, the quality of the food at Himalayan still stays true to authenticity, and great taste. Definitely coming back to try the other dishes.

Their $ 9.99 lunch is GREAT, so many fresh and healthy(considering what else you might have had for lunch; pizza, burgers, fries, etc) choices ! Definitely worth checking this place out!

One word DELICIOUS. The chicken was fresh. The curry wasnt a typical curry. It may have needed just a bit more something but it was scrumtious. The paneer masala was to die for. Im sure the cheese is fresh made. Garlic naan was great. Im happy we finally have an indian food restarant in Baldwin Park. I will be coming back for more.

Finally some decent Indian cuisine locally! I’ve tried their brunch several times and, although there isn’t a huge selection, it has always been very tasty. In fact, I eat too much when I come! My neighbors and I came here for dinner and ordered a variety of dishes to try. Can’t say anything negative about any of them… Wonderful flavors. The décor is okay… At night the lighting is blue and kinda interesting. I wish you could hear the music in the main dining room area(no speakers working though). The service has been very good. I appreciate how attentive the wait staff is(refilling water, bringing naan, clearing plates) and most importantly how friendly they are. It’s nice to go somewhere and have people smile.. Eat some chicken Koorma for me!

Pretty good Indian food. I went for the buffet on a Saturday lunch and there were 4 parties there. The buffet is $ 9.99 and there is a pretty god selection. The picture shows a little of everything they had. I’m not a big fan of tandoori Chicken but the restaurant made it pretty good. The naan was a bit dense compared to other places. The food is made to be pretty mild so if you need spicy you need to kick it up a both by using an awesome red spicy sauce they have on the buffet line. The servers were really sweet and attentive.

Groupon steered us here and I’m so glad we did. Another place that I would have never tried since it was so dead on a Monday night. We were the only ones there. But, we will be back though. The food was high quality. I usually get saag paneer but I saw that they had a lamb paneer here. The lamb wasn’t too gamey in the lamb saag. It wasnt bland like some places. The chicken tikki masala was on point. Hint of sweetness and spiciness. In comparison, they are better than New Flavor of India. They don’t have garlic naan but the regular naan was still hot and fresh. Decently priced. They had great customer service. Very attentive staff. Man, I forgot to try the mango lassi… next time!

Finally! Indian and Tibetan food in BP! Everything was delicious, and the mix of savory and sweet, in multiple dishes, was amazing! We ate there today, and we have already decided to change birthday plans next week, to eat here. Haven’t tried the whole menu yet, but what we did try had us fighting each other for the last bite. Vegetable Pakouda and Lamb Roll are out of this world!
