If you have not had Ayurveda Abhyanga massage your missing out. I was in an accident a few weeks ago I was having back pains, I made an appointment at Pure Spa for help. Dr. Claudia did a Consultation first to see the best treatment for my pain and wow. she told me about Ayurveda Therapy they used herbal oils and my back pain went away so I bought the three days Therapy treatment. Went to Pure Ayurveda in Baldwin for a colonic. The website is very nicely done and informative so I booked an appointment. Upon arriving and entering I felt like I was in a totally different place. A blind person would probably think they were in heaven due to the soothing music. However, the front office is rundown. The front door is so smudged with thick black dirt that I felt like walking out. What does it take to wipe down a door? The actual colonic room seemed clean but then again I can’t be sure bc the lights were super dim. The bathroom was disgustingly dirty and I’m sure I gained glute muscles that day from hovering over the toilet. I definitely did not want to sit on it. The moldings in the bathroom were super dusty and dirty. I felt dirtier leaving there than when I walked in. A colonic is supposed to leave you cleansed but I could not overlook the conditions. Never again – at that place. By the way the procedure was $ 130 and they give you a helpful sheet of items to nourish you and try to sell you add’l colonics at $ 130 a pop, once per week. Not sure what Dr. Claudia’s specialty is or why she has the title doctor. I was not impressed by her explanations of the human body’s digestive system. I felt I learned more from reading the actual chart. Lastly the front office was manned by two ladies who were immersed in their cellphones. Totally unprofessional.

Sometimes you think about judging the process, but the end result is what counts. i woke up this morning, and my face DEFINITLY looked AMAZING. I am very happy with my facial, and the staff at Pure Spa was also very sweet.
For a smallish space, they do a good job. The only real concern i have is the use of a cloth to wipe off the creams and scrubs etc during the facial. i never use a cloth on my face bc i feel that it is too rough on my skin. i would suggest specific type of cloth, one without a thick border or perhaps even using disposable cotton instead. Also, i would have liked to have been told prior to the application, exactly what scents the products are based around. Obviously, this is only my preference bc i have sensitive skin.
The soft music was soothing and i fell asleep at least 3 times. CLaudia has a great technique and i enjoyed my visit.
