This place is excellent. Had occasion to stop in yesterday and had their Corned Beef and Cabbage. It was top notch. The atmosphere is friendly, the restrooms are spotless, the beer is cold, and it was a great spot to unwind and have a bite and a drink. We were taken care of by Shay who took the time to chat a bit even though it was obvious he was extremely busy. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

AMAZING Corn beef and cabbage. First time at this pub. The food and service were fantastic as well as the ambiance and Irish music. What a wonderful way to spend St. Patrick’s day. Great friendly place. And our waiter Shay was just terrific!!! We will definitely be back. Hard to find good places like this, makes you feel at home.

Great Irish pub, lots of TVs. Sheppard’s pie rocks. Great bands on weekends, nice people. Great happy hour. Lynn, the daytime bartender, one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Highly recommended. Peter

Went there last night for dinner with my wife and 4 children. There was something for everyone. Food was all good, very nice beer selection, service was very friendly. I had the fish and chips. Fresh cod, dipped to order was very good. Complaint? I had to ask for the malt vinegar and it was a no-frills brand. Heinz or another name brand is a must, don’t skimp on the malt vinegar! Wings were good. The buffalo sauce could use some work, but worth a second try. Seems like a great place to go a few times a year, maybe even worth a try for football Sunday or MNF. We will be back.

Good local place to go for a beer in Baldwin. However, I usually like to try the buffalo wings of any new pub and I was not impressed. I will say this was a while ago so perhaps they have improved but the wings were chewy and the sauce was watery and lacked flavor. Wings were not at all crispy. This was especially disappointing because the wings were one of the best things to order at DJ Houdeck’s which was there before.

Nice atmosphere, live music from time to time, a variety of craft beers on tap and nice enough staff that you can’t go wrong on any night.

been here a few times and each time i feel as if they made a mistake on the drink prices because they are so low! that alone gets 5 stars from me!

A nice cozy Irish pub, with an interesting beer selection on tap. The burgers have that true pub quality that you can’t find in other types of establishments. The onion rings are large, tasty, and generously battered. The service is always friendly and attentive, although some servers have seemed inexperienced when asked questions about the menu offerings. Shay, the owner, was welcoming and shook my hand as we were leaving. There are many large flat screens(possibly too many), so if you want to catch a sporting event without the frat house vibe of Rockville Centre, this is a good bet. Speaking of bets, when there’s a big horse race on, every one of those TVs gets switched to the track. It didn’t bother me, but the place sort of felt like an OTB parlor for a few minutes. Aside from a few very minor quibbles, if you’re looking for delicious and well-prepared pub food, cold, tasty craft beer, and excellent service in a warm atmosphere, head over to Kitty O’Hara’s.

went in on a monday night pretty decent crowd the rangers game was on so it sas kinda loud to say the least but the place is big typical average bar nice booths okay bar food nothing special but good for a late night snack. the location is on merrick road in baldwin in the middle of nowhere so the fact they opened it there might attract some customers locally. It is the highlight of baldwin everything nearby is kinda of dinky and bleek the stores nearby were burnt down a while ago on merrick road so they are back to being up and running. i got the chicken quesdillas and stuffed mushrooms it was well cooked and hot but nothing super special. the best about is is the bar itself for a nearby hangout if you live locally i say come on down if you want to get out of the house for a little

My coworker and I go to lunch here every Wednesday. They give a free order of their boneless wings with Bleu cheese, celery & carrots with every order. The lunch menu is very reasonable with sandwiches, wraps & salads ranging in price from $ 6.95 — $ 7.95 Also they gave Happy Hour every day until 8PM with $ 3 beers and drinks. Not bad at all.

I had a great time. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, probably the best one I’ve ever ordered. Which is surprisingly rare for a Irish pub. Pete is the best bartender I’ve ever had. Friendly, caring, and attentive. I will return.

Great food, even better people. The«Salmon Knowledge» is awesome and a must try. In an area full of Irish Pubs, this one is legit with class. Go and enjoy.

It was a Saturday night, I had the thirst, and I was not ready to settle for Applebee’s. For the love of God not again. One more watered-down, sickly sweet marg and I would have committed seppuku. Dire straights for a Saturday night… Until I ran across Kitty O’Hara’s. Heaven is a place called Kitty O’Hara’s. Three gin and tonics and some cheesy garlic bread later, I’m a believer. Swing low sweet chariot — and bring me another drink. The pricing is reasonable, the environment is clean and laid back, and the attentive service is a welcome departure from the various flavors of bitch face and excessive bronzer that are the norm around here. In the words of the wise eBay gurus, «A+++ will definitely buy from again.»

Great little Irish wannabe pub with a real solid beer lineup. They have about 15 beers on tap along with some great bottles/cans. Food is great, prices are right. You get served fast and the servers are attentive. Right down the street from the the Rvc bars it’s a great clean place to go to when you don’t want that crowd.

I am visiting here and wanted to grab a beer. Nobody working here knew anything about beer. The bartender was on the phone the whole time, even when serving me. This is definitely the worst bar I have ever been to — beer and service. The employees didn’t seem to know much about what’s going on here either. Where’s management? Owners? This place could use some help.

This review is based primarily on my visit of Tuesday, June 17, 2014 — during Happy Hour. Since the demise of D.J. Houdek’s due to Hurricane Sandy damage, I’ve been patiently waiting for someone to pick up the gauntlet and return some class to the Baldwin pub scene. Not to knock my neighborhood(or point out my carpetbagger status), but Lisa’s Lounge, Boston Garden and Oasis Café leave something to be desired in the«classy Irish Pub» department. To my relief, this new establishment — Kitty O’Hara’s — appears to be a step in the right direction. For those familiar with D.J. Houdeks, you will feel somewhat vertigo-stricken as the arrangement of the floor-plan has changed. A beautiful oak bar runs down the left wall with four 50″ flat screen televisions hanging over the well stocked liquor cabinets. The taps — serving all sorts of brews from Coney Island Brewery’s «Tunnel of Love» Watermelon Wheat to Smuttynose’s «Old Brown Dog» Ale — will keep your taste buds busy for many visits. For the more conventional, there is Harp, Guinness and the oft-overlooked yet never disappointing Brooklyn Lager. I nearly fell into a Hops induced coma due to the myriad choices. The dining booths are upholstered with the luxurious soft brown leather and ample space for even a guy my size. There are several pub tables as you approach the restrooms and a beautiful little outdoor sitting area in the rear, which opens to the shared parking lot. I spent a decent amount of time schmoozing with the bartender, Laura. She was a treat to talk with as she genuinely seemed to enjoy bar tending and saw her job as making me comfortable and interested in returning. It was refreshing to deal with someone who didn’t have an agenda, like so many Rockville Centre or Nautical Mile 20-something, big-boobed, flirty, yet god-awful bartenders do. Happy Hour lasts until 8PM, though the lunch menu prices seem to end at 4PM. The food(I only had an order of Irish Nachos) is very basic pub fare. Nothing to write home about, but priced reasonably. I wouldn’t necessarily come for a meal, but I would definitely order if I were here watching a game. All said, Kitty O’Hara’s seems to have a world of potential. Considering the owner is an old hand at running bars(also owns Biddy Mulligans and Stingers) I foresee a bright future.
