Ball Ground Burger Bus

Big thumbs up over chain fast food places. Really good food and plenty of it. Seating isn’t so great or comfortable and the place is small. Great place for a good lunch or a takeout. The park next door has seating so you can eat outdoors if you like. The also have there own seating outside. I like great Onion Rings, they score an 8 on them. Pretty good. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers with some unique twists. Must try it.

This place is super cool! I love the old trolley car. It was one from the city of Atlanta from the 40s. And that’s where you eat!
Food was super good. Love the burgers. Portions of tots was huge and they were cooked to a golden crispy perfection. They make there own guac, pickles, chili and other condiments. Burgers are very tasty and the cheddar cheese is melted to perfection on it!
Service is good but they are young. There trying hard though.
The weekday we went was busy but little wait. Today on a Saturday for lunch we waited 50 min to get a seat on the bus. It’s so cool though! If you wanted to go and sit out on the picnic tables it was like 10 min to get your food.

My wife and I thought we we would try the new burger bus restaurant in Ball Ground we arrived there was about 16 people waiting to be seated
There were only a few people that were ordering to go. The hostess was taking names to eat in the dinning bus
I asked my wife if she wanted to sit down and eat the new bus seating area, but after 20 minutes of the line not moving we decided to take it to go. 6 – 8 people were getting mad because of the wait and left. We finally go to the counter. The girl took our order. And we waited and waited and waited and waited for a hour. During the time of the wait more people came in and more people left because the line wasn’t moving when I was looking into the kitchen area you could see there is a guy in the fries and three one guy cooking one prepping and one guy filling the orders. The problem with the restaurant is it’s too small in the people working behind the counter in the kitchen are way too slow they have no sense of urgency and don’t really care we waited for an hour to get a to go order for two hamburgers. and there are no to go orders before us and the hamburger was mediocre at best the fries were cold. I could have got a better hamburger at Hardees which is a lot better quality burger and they’re made fresh brought your table. Do yourself a favor save your money and go elsewhere. It was the worst service worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant don’t go there save your money.

I picked up German after waiting at burger bus for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. I wish I could write a review as fabulous as some of these, but honestly, I never got to try it. When two separate staff members stare at you, then purposely ignore you after a 15 minute wait standing at the counter, it makes it difficult to want to wait around for food you may not ever get. I just wanted to place a take out order. There is no signage indicating the location to place a to go order or where to pick up. The concept is nice, but very disorganized. They need more staff and an additional dining room. My coworker also expressed that the burger he was able to get a few days ago wasn’t all that fabulous anyway. Maybe I will try to call in and pickup. I will update my review after.

You gotta try the dads on death row burger. It’s awesome. It’s like brunch on a bun! What a cool place to take your kids and always a great burger!

Great concept and Ball Ground needs good, quality restaurants but for the hassle and just okay burgers go somewhere else. We went last week and this restaurant has to change a LOT in order to survive.
It’s quite small, with only a handful of tables inside the bus and couple outside on a deck. The overwhelming amount of people meant even at 4:30 we were waiting knee-​deep in a line. Looked like they were greatly understaffed, which seemed to add to the problem. Only 2 waitresses that were also playing hostess and bussing the tables. While waiting, we noticed several people ordering food to go so in order to side-​step the long wait we tried to phone-​in a to-​go order the next time and were told that they did not except phone-​in orders.
Quality of food is good — all ingredients seemed fresh but the taste was just average. The menu is quite limited and the two times we were there they had run out of items. Not good when you only have a handful of choices to order from.
With burgers being the cost of chain restaurants (think Applebee’s, TGIF, etc) without a side, you would expect a great tasting burger. It wasn’t. Limited choices and when asked if we could get medium burger told that they only do well-​done. (So if you don’t like well-​done, don’t come here.) We ordered French fries as well and, again, overly priced for just okay-​tasting fries. I will say that the veggie burger was outstanding. We had wanted to get a cup of chili, which was a side item for hot dogs but were told they could not do that — chili was only for placing on hot dogs. There was absolutely no choices except fries or onion rings (which they had run out of) to order to go with our sandwiches.
This is a new restaurant and kinks are expected. However, there are so many and some serious kinks that Burger Bus needs to work out in order to survive. Add to that the food is unexceptional fare (except for the veggie burger), I’d be surprised if the business is still around in 6 months. Our experience was so aggravating that we won’t be back — even for an exceptional veggie burger.

They just opened this week. The space is amazing and the bus is AWESOME.
Limited but well executed menu of specialty burgers and some hotdogs, along with sides and drinks including beer and wine.
The burger tasted like it has a bit of pork in it, which added some nice smoky flavor to the patty. I liked it and will be back to try some of the other burger options, my only complaint was that the party was a little over cooked for my taste, I prefer a medium and this was closer to well…
