Cycle Works Sanitation

Not much more to be said that hasn’t already been stated with respect to Cycle Works’ poor performance and awful customer service. They have failed to pick up my trash per schedule 70% of the time (last 10 weeks). Yet Cycle Works appears to be very proud of their stated core competency, «Price Matching.» I’ve suggested to them in the past that as a trash company they might want to focus first on picking up trash; right time, right place, and then at a competitive price. Anyone can not pick up my trash as cheaply as the competition. Note too, they’re touting matching, not beating.
But the preponderance of the evidence of my generous one star rating lays with the fact that Cycle Works’ answering machine’s first prompt is to push «1»; not for English but for missed pickups. Eek! Methinks not… I rest my case.

Third week in a row for missed pickup! Then when I call every week to get it picked up they dump trash and recycle in same bin. Terrible and sketchy. They bought route from other service we had and wish this didn’t happen.

They billed my special pick up two weeks before the day they said they could pick it up. Pick up day came and went NO PICK UP. called they didn’t have record of scheduled pickup. told us they would pick it up the next day… NO PICK UP… I’m firing them on Monday… such poor customer service they close at 3pm… WTH!!!

Cycle works bought the company we were using and the service is inconsistent at best !!! Guess it is time to fire them and move on !!! hated giving them one star but could not post without it!

Zero stars. Their customer service is an answering machine. I guess they flip a coin to determine if they will pick up our trash on the scheduled day or not. We are forced to use them by our HOA but the neighbors are banding together to throw these bums out.

From looking at my neighbors trash cans, they often do not pick up on their assigned day. Sometimes the trash cans are at the curb for 2+ days waiting for them to be emptied.

I had North Metro Waste and was very satisfied with my trash service. They stopped servicing my area and transferred my account to Cycle Works. Due to their accounting error, my trash was not picked up three weeks in a row. After numerous calls, they started picking up my trash. Now they are missing my pickup again. If North Metro Waste services your address, they are a much better company!

Well, we now have a routine. They miss pickup every Tuesday, I call them and they come out Wednesday. They can’t figure out a corner lot. I could maybe understand this if the can wasn’t in the exact place they left it. After I run out the prepaid quarter, they’re fired.

The Cycleworks Garbage truck just laid rubber in front of my house, apparently he is trying to sling off the young man hanging off the back just for fun. While I was on hold for the company on the phone, I heard him continue gunning it and screeching down the street behind me.
Noone ever answered the damn phone. I left a message and thought… Unilocal is the best way to get a really strong complaint across to management. Glad I am not a customer of theirs!

If you are looking for a good trash service just keep looking. These people have missed my pick up 5 consecutive weeks. They send a small truck for pick up a few days later. But you have to leave your trash cans on your curb for days. Pick someone else. It’s worth it.

Worst customer service … EVER! When they picked up my trash Friday, they tore the lid off the can. An employee of a reputable company would have retrieved the lid and re-​installed it, but not these guys. They just left it sitting there lidless, in the rain. I call Cycle Works and they say, we’ll bring a new can NEXT Friday. I pointed out that it was their mistake and that it was going to rain heavily for the next several days. Oh well, too bad for me! I called and actually had the rare opportunity to speak to someone in management (good luck with that one on a usual day). She promised me that they would have a replacement can out by the end of the day. The end of WHICH day??? The can still sits lidless at the end of my driveway, collecting rain to mix in with the garbage stew at the bottom.
This is not the first time I’ve had troubles with this company but it will be the last. I will be firing them tomorrow and hopefully hiring a garbage company that understands customer service.
Bottom line, stay away from these amateurs.

This companies hit my car truck hit my car, and then sped off. I called them to investigate the hit and run, and the office manager had the nerve to tell me because I filed a hit and run, he wasnt going to investigate it. THIS COMPANY IS TRASH.(no pun intended)

I’ve had many missed pickups. When I’ve called to ask about it I get poor attitude and often no compensation for them to come back out. Today I was told they had no notes on my account about missed pickups in the past– the implication being she didn’t believe me. They have one job to do and can’t even manage to do that! I guess you get what you pay for!

Missed pickups, broke two can in one year slinging them about, recycling bin thrown half way down the street, billing is a mess… really? Why would anyone use this service?

Done! Came home tonight and garbage and recyclables are still on the curb. This is a chronic problem that extends into the office where it took numerous tries to get my billing right. This is not rocket science ~ just come out and dump the container. Life is just too short !

This is not the first time that they have missed a pickup (not just me but my whole neighborhood).
I called on Saturday morning after our neighborhood’s recycling was not collected on Friday. I made it clear that it was at the curb before 11PM on Thursday with the trash (that was collected) so that I would not be told that «the driver came early and it was not out» as I had been told previously even though it had been out before midnight the night prior. (I wanted to be clear so that I would not be called a liar again).
On Monday I received no return call from the message I had left for «Jamie is missed pickups» (yes, they have a special place to leave a message for this), so I called them and was told that it would definitely be collected that day and that they were sorry and that they had just «missed» our neighborhood. Monday night when I got home from dinner the recycling was still out by the curb (not just mine — the neighbor’s too) so I called and left another message and clearly stated that I expected a call this morning. No call came, so I called them AGAIN and spoke to someone who wasn’t sure why a truck didn’t come blah, blah, blah…
It is now 5:17PM on TUESDAY when our pickup should have been FRIDAY and after 2 calls and 2 messages I stand in my kitchen cluttered with a sink full of recycling because the bin at the street is STILL THERE and OVERFLOWING with recycling.
I guess I will just leave it there until Friday… maybe they won’t «miss» our neighborhood this week. I realize that I need to change companies, but our options in this neighborhood are limited despite the fact that we are just off of HWY92 in Roswell/​East Cobb. Given a review I wrote earlier today about another trash company I guess I will go back to Waste Management despite their outrageous pricing… at least they pick up what you pay them to pick up.

I was going to give this company two stars because I have not had any problems with their trash service specifically, but since they took the time to remove my comments on their Facebook page, and suggest to other dissatisfied customers that they should also leave a Unilocal review, but have not taken the time to call me back or address my request, I am now giving Cycle Works a big shiny 1 star review.
I cancelled service with them about a month and a half ago and have made three requests for them to pick up my old cans. Each time my cans just sit outside my house for days and nobody comes to get them. When I call, which takes a ton of time because they have a very extended hold period each time I call, they tell me I am on the schedule, or the driver will be coming, or even (gasp) that the driver came and said my cans were not out (total lie). I have requested a return call from a manager, but nobody calls me back (2 days waiting now). I called AGAIN today and the receptionist told me nobody was there that could help me and that they would not be there until Monday. It was 9:30am on Friday… where are they all?
In the meantime somebody at their office is taking the time put up cutesy kitty pics saying TGIF on the Facebook page, but nobody can pick up my damn cans or return my call. Where is the customer service here??? Can’t wait to tell my neighbors. I wonder if the owner of the company has any idea how his company operates… I would be livid if I paid people to behave like this.
