The tavern equivalent of a mullet – business in the front, party in the back. The regulars know to park behind the building where their boss or spouse can’t see their cars, which is why it appeared deserted at noon on Friday until we got inside. This is a spot for some serious drinking, pretty good griddled items(the meat loaf sandwich with melted cheese and a strip of bacon was excellent, and the burger platters other patrons were having looked good as did an entrée salad), mediocre fried items(based on ordering the sampler which included most of them) and no pizza on offer. But like I say, the food takes back seat to the alcohol. Just be sure to put Saratoga Taxi on your speed dial before you go.

Terrific wings. Picturesque, very non-brunchy brunch-time crowd. I’m a fan.

Great wings, delicious hamburgers and fries! Fast service and great menu. Cheap beer and drinks, different specials every night of the week. Cool bartenders, good place to catch football and baseball games. What more do you need in a pub?
