Food is well prepared and well flavored. The décor and setting is quite pleasant, low key, clean and neat. Waitstaff are charming. Prices are bit higher than I like, but you get what you pay for. Good selection of beers for the husband and wines for me. Bread rolls at the beginning of the meal are quite good.

Food and service good but poor policy in requesting something other than what’s standard with a meal. Wanted garlic and oil on side of pasta that comes with meal instead of the sauce and was told it’s a $ 4. Extra charge. NEVER been charged extra in all the restaurants I go to and I eat out at least 3 times a week. Also for an Italian restaurant they should be serving Italian bread not those inedible rolls they serve. Over priced too. Not going back because of the pasta and bread. Beans and greens use to be great there but when last had a few days ago they were tasteless, dry and hardly any beans.

Found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot. Never would have pulled in had I not read the reviews as it is part of an odd little strip mall. Glad we took a chance on it. Attentive servers, casual but nicely appointed dining room, classic dishes and huge portions. Get the mussels Rocco or the clams Tory as an appetizer. Both are served with a delicious garlicky marinara with a little kick, and garlic toasts to sop up the sauce. Nice start. All dinners come with a side salad with house vinaigrette which was better than average. However, why oh why do they only put two olives in the salad? ! If I were in the kitchen, I would make damn sure there were three olives in any dish olives belonged. Just saying. The entrees were all delicious renditions of the classics: veal parm, chicken parm and frutti di mare. Veal and chicken were pounded thin and filled a dinner plate. Nice amount of seafood in that dish. Had to take the homemade tiramisu to go because we were too full. Would absolutely come back again.

Atmosphere very nice, waiter was fabulous… very attentive and right there if we needed anything. Food: Ravioli in marinara, very good. Penne ala vodka(was good but tasted like pasta in regular sauce, was not pink sauce like I am used to) Chicken meal someone else got was rubbery and kinda strange. She did not care for it at all. Cheesy garlic bread fantastic, Bruchetta fantastic. I have eaten here many times and do recommend it, however, there are a few things I would not get. They give you bread and a nice salad with every entrée, which I really appreciate. Most restaurants charge extra for it.

This little neighborhood is a real gem. The staff is very professional and accomodating. The protions are of a good size and the food is very tasty. There is a small bar and the wine list is suitable. The prices are very affordable. My favorite thing about Three olives is the Pizza take out service. I think their pizza is the best in the area if you like a nice thin crust pizza. The sause is good and they give you plenty of toppings. I can call and order before I leave work and pick it up on my way home.

Heard good things about this place so we tried it. Nice, calming décor but felt another TV in a restaurant was not warranted, I didn’t think it was a sports bar. Service was stood, staff pleasant. Bread was hot out of the oven and it had an excellent crunchy crust. Had the antipasti salad and this was enough for 4, again very good. We order 1 meat lovers pizza. Not a fan. The sliced up meatballs tasted like meatloaf, minimal sausage and pepperoni. And for some reason their choice of a marinated yellow pepper on the pizza was not good. I’ve had a lot of pizza but never would have expected that choice. We will try again but not for pizza. Also a table for two is way too small, there is it where to put anything. They didn’t think the table size out. If you’re a big person, forget it.

The décor leaves a bit to be desired(i.e. no table cloth, etc), but I thought the food was quite good. I was with a big group and everyone seemed rather pleased with their meals. Exceptional service, generous portions, and good food. They also appear to have reasonably priced drink specials. I will be returning here.

Less than average food. Stuffed mushrooms had more stuffing than mushrooms. My hubby got the chicken florentine which was sweet and doused in sauce. I got ravioli Maria which was ok at best. They could have toasted the bread to make it more appetizing and at best put good olives in your food if you’re going to be called 3 olives

This is an Italian version of a dumpy Irish Pub, trying to act like a sit-down restaurant. There is not an ounce of originality in their store-bought taste, look and feel. You will leave this place feeling as though you’d been fooled.

Was there will a group-5 adults and 4 kids-and the service was great. Scott was our waiters name, I think. Very friendly but always professional and patient. Chicken Marsala was best dinner ordered. Kid sized pizzas were HUGE– easily shared by 2 kids(aged 5 and 8). My dish was a chicken dish with a tomato sherry cream sauce and it was a disappointment. I actually mentioned this to Scott and he double checked with the kitchen that I had the correct dish. I did. Just tasted like marinara. Good marinara– but definitely couldn’t taste the sherry or the cream. Sad. Might return but probably not– too many other excellent restaurants nearby!

They have«date night» on Thursday thru this winter. We went tonight and got one appetizer(calamari), 2 entrees– chicken parm over ziti and rustica salad and shared a chocolate cake desert to share for $ 30 for the two of us. Rolls and butter were included. Hubby ordered a side salad and we had coffee with the desert. Each course was delicious and generously portioned. I loved the rustica salad, nice bed of salad greens with black olives, mozzarella cubes, red peppers, red onion, grape tomatoes and a grilled chicken breast on top. A nice balsamic vinegar dressing was added. This is my new favorite at this restaurant. Desert was wonderful, will try to do date night here at least once a month for the next couple of months. The restaurant is in a strip mall shopping center and has adequate parking. There was a TV on the wall in the bar area that you might have a slight view of while in the restaurant section but it was playing quietly.

This is a family favorite for sure! I have never had a bad meal. The calamari far diavlo is amazing, in fact. the best I have ever had. The salad dressing is also delicious and the portions are huge! My parents go here all the time! I highly recommend

Great service with friendly staff. Food is above average Italian fare. Nice find and the outside appearance may be deceiving. We keep going back. Done in or take out.

This is an authentic Italian-American red sauce restaurant. The food is really good, especially if you like traditional I-A dishes. There are a few surprises on the menu too, such as the encrusted tilapia, which is quite tasty. The salad and bread that come with the entrees is above-average, and the eggplant parm pizza is awesome. Prices are great, it’s possible for two people to eat well for around $ 40-$ 45 dollars. And the service is most satisfactory.

We selected this restaurant on the advice of a friend, and we weren’t disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was best in class, and the prices were reasonable, for the genre. Portions were large but not overly so, and the selection was very good, even having a children’s menu. Kudos to the chef; everything was hand-made and very well done. We’d definitely visit again. Even the kids had a terrific time, which is a rarity. By the way, attire is casual, we didn’t make reservations, and the place wasn’t crowded at all. It has a bar and grill feel to it, quiet to average noise level, with soft contemporary music playing in the background. Not a lot of crazy cr@p on the walls, either. Just a nice, warm, inviting place to eat.

Mediocre food and service along with poor business policy. I will preface my review with the fact that I am not local and in comparison to Houston the service and quality of food I have found in the area is mediocre at best. This particular establishment was on par with the quality of food found elsewhere in the area but below when it came to service. We went on a Friday night, were properly greeted and promptly sat. There was nothing fancy about the restaurant’s décor which is really not of importance to me anyways. I had the calamari fra diavlo and she had the chicken parmesan and asked to substitute alfredo for the given marinara sauce. We were advised there would be a small charge for the substitution and told the waitress this would be fine. First came out salads and bread. The salad was ok but there were only options of Italian or blue cheese dressings, she opted for no dressing. The bread was store-bought(or similar if they actually made it). My entrée came out timely and had a good sauce. The calamari was somewhat overcooked and tough with an equivalently overcooked and crispy coating. If I were rating this restaurant on nothing but the quality of my dish I would give it three stars. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was also lackluster. It lacked characteristic tastes of cinnamon and was entirely mush. The final part of the meal was the ticket. Here we found that her $ 13 chicken was up-charged to $ 25 due to the substitution of alfredo for marinara sauce. This was explained to be out of the server’s control and that she had complained of the same before. She apologized for not telling us this earlier but I found it hard to find sincere when she had said a «small charge» which turned out to nearly double the price of the entrée. Needless to say we will not return.

Don’t let the strip mall façade of Three Olives deter you. Once you enter and round the corner, you will be pleasantly surprised. We were the first people who entered on a Saturday evening, and I thought, «This is not a good sign.» But by the time we left, every table was filled. So people know. The décor is slightly understated and very relaxing. There is a partition separating the dining area from what looks like a small but well-stocked bar. The waitresses do a great job, and they combine professionalism with a feeling like it’s your next-door neighbor waiting on you. From my experience so far, I would recommend anything on the menu with mushrooms. My appetizer, the stuffed mushrooms($ 8.49) was 4 good-sized mushroom caps topped with a generous portion of seafood stuffing(I wish they listed what type of seafod), covered with some mozzarella cheese. The stuffing was spiced enough to make it interesting but not enough to overpower the woodsy flavor of the mushrooms. My mom had her«test meal» for any first-time visit to a new Italian restaurant, the lasagna($ 12.99). It was a good-sized portion, enough to take some home. She liked it, though I thought maybe a little less flavor in the sauce and a little more in the beef. Their take on my chicken Florentine($ 15.99) is to not have the mushrooms and spinach stuffed in the chicken, but sandwiched between the thinly sliced chicken breast and the brown sauce topping. The sauce was positively ADDICTING and went really well with the mushrooms. For the first 2 – 3 minutes, I completely forgot there was chicken on the plate, I was so busy eating the mushrooms. It was accompanied by a bowl of your choice of pasta with a tasty marinara sauce. There were a few details — correctable in my opinion — which could have added another star to my review. The dinner salad was drenched in the dressing — a good flavor, but too much of it. Either cut back on the dressing, or serve it on the side. The dinner rolls would be a lot more palatable if they were warmed. And the chicken in my dish was very slightly overcooked or dry, but the sauce more than compensated. Overall, I found the experience very satisfying. They also serve pizza, and I look forward to a return visit to try some!

This place is a little hidden gem if you ask me, diamond in the rough, if you will. You normally wouldn’t find a great, yes people I do mean GREAT Italian restaurant in a strip mall. Don’t let the outside deceive you as soon as you walk into this place you are going to be amazed. The colors on the wall and whole feel of the restaurant all work together. The cleanlyness of the restaurant and the wait staff just make the experience that much better. There was 5 of us, so for appetizers we ordered their famous calamari and a bowl of their greens and beans, both my favorites. For dinners we ordered: Chicken Sorrento, Chicken Dana, Eggplant Rollentini, Lasagna and Frutti Di Mare. All came with a house side salad and dinner rolls. OK so the only low point of the entire meal was the salads, they didn’t give you alot of anything in it and the only dressing in comes with is Italian. I got over the salad disappointment real quick when the appetizers came out. The calamari was one, if not the best I’ve eaten, you can actually taste the calamari and not just the breading, it was delicious. The greens and beans didn’t take a back seat from the calamari they were equally as good. All the right flavors, garlic, a little spice from red pepper flake, the escarole was cooked down perfectly and just the right amount of beans. Both great appetizers I was expecting the same awesomeness to carry right on over for the entrée’s…and it did! All the entrees exceeded every expectation I had and more! My dish the Chicken Sorrento was HUGE! I only eat half of the chicken and brought the other half home for dinner the next night. And the pasta… usually it is cooked to death, not here, they cook it the proper way Al den-ti, with just the right amount of sauce. I didn’t here one bad think come out of my dinner guest, they all loved their food and raved about it while they were eating it. I guess the only thing I would like to see is a few choices on fresh pasta, in my opinion it would make is place even more authentic. While we all didn’t have room for dessert there was no way we were going to pass it up. Judging on their food, their dessert has got to be as worthy, and it most certainly was. We were undecided on whether to get the tiramisu or raspberry cheese cake. Since it was my sister in laws birthday she decided on the cheese cake. We all ended up tasting it and it was a perfect way to end a fabulous meal. We all can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu.

Very good Italian food, with fresh ingredients. I was skeptical at first, but was pleasantly surprised. If your looking for above average Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you. Will be going back again soon.
