I ordered an 8-cut with anchovies, and an antipasto online for delivery at 8:30PM. The delivery driver called at 7:25PM, and said he’d be there in three minutes. Now, this worked out beautifully for me this time, but the one hour mistake could be an issue another time. The driver was friendly, and polite. The pie: A perfect circle, and cut evenly. I’ve thrown pies, and let me tell you, I’ve seen some lopsided garbage with seven even slices, and one goofy slice. The shape, and cut of the pizza really set the tone for it, and this one was perfect. It was well done, crisp, but not crunchy. The anchovies were evenly distributed, though randomly. The dough was a little thin in the center, which is common with hand tossed, but avoidable with practice. Great amount of cheese, like a NY-style pie: just enough to hold everything together, but not enough to wash out the other toppings. It could have used a little more sauce, but the sauce which was there tasted very good. It tasted of tomatoes without tasting like ketchup. The anchovies were definitely not blotted, or rinsed, and made the pizza a bit fishy, but if you’re an anchovy person, you won’t mind. The crust isn’t quite NY, but it’s definitely not Pizza Hut, it’s much like Buffalo. The antipasto: It’s more of a salad than appetizer, but everything is there: romaine lettuce, olives, ham, capicola, onions, and cucumbers. The veggies were fresh, and crisp, and the lettuce was properly washed. The lettuce, cheese, and meats are cut in a coarse chiffonade, which is great for the meat, and cheese, but a bit cumbersome for the lettuce. The meats make me want to try one of their subs. I had this with Greek dressing, which seems to be Italian with some oregano, and feta. I received 4oz. of dressing with this salad, and it was more than enough for me. Overall, Mario’s makes a great pie, but they have a couple execution issues to work out. I’ll definitely order again.

Really great pizza and wings! Be aware that the place is located behind some other restaurant, not so easy to be found. We totally missed it on our 1st visit and went to the restaurant in the front which was not as good. We recently got gift card from our property management and decided to give it another try — totally loved it and will definitely order again!

I’m a foodie from Weschester NY and frequently dine out in NYC as well. In terms of take out /delivery, above average pleased with the chickparm & penevdka sauce!(the only two dishes I have ordered so far but ordered several times since February. No I am not obese, I just enjoy a good meal. It tastes like Italian home cooking /family tradition recipe style. Sauces are soooo rich, like it’s for sure made with passion. Basically my taste buds were dancing because I did not expect the flavors to be so saaavoooory… Did I mention my entrees were delivered with fresh garlic bread? yeah two pieces; it’s all around awesome.

Excellent Pizza! Authentic Italian food too! You gotta try the Chicken Teriyaki pizza! One of the best pizzas ever! They serve thin crust pizzas, tastes the best!

Off the beaten path while somehow being directly on the beaten path, due to being located directly behind Nanola and barely visible from the road. Not much of an eat-in atmosphere, but their takeout/delivery pizza is great. The people that work there are always friendly and prompt. Reasonably priced, too. Check it out if you’re tired of the other Malta joints or if you’re a pizza aficionado as well and wanna try a new place out.

Better than most of the other local delivery options. I recommend the heroes over the pizza.

Mehhh. BBQ chicken pizza was not fantastic. I didn’t like the sauce because it was way too sweet. Pizza was greasy and the chicken was slimy. Better places in Malta to go in my opinion.

me and my family have been getting from Pizza Nook, AKA Justin’s, AKA Donny’s for over a decade. their food WAS good. but when we ordered from them tonight, it was like day and night. i had ordered the chicken parm and the chicken wasnt even a real chicken breast. its like it was from the frozen section at a store. the pasta was over cooked and was like mush. the breading on the chicken was nothing but mush. the garlic bread was hard as a rock. i also had the antipasto salad and the provolone cheese was rancid or something. it tasted like stomach bile. after tonight, we wont be ordering from here anymore.

Really great pizza! We had the BBQ Chicken pizza and garlic knots. My wife couldn’t stop commenting on how good this pizza tasted.

This place has delicious pizza. Their delivery service is pretty good and friendly. I like the crust and they don’t overdo the cheese. I’d recommend their garlic knots as well. We like to order online so that is a big selling point for us, too; we like hassle free food ordering and delivery so we can stay in and relax.

It’s not bad. The pizza is pretty good, but I noticed the size was smaller than what you get at some places. The subs were small and overpriced for the few slices of meat on them. You would do better at subway.

I came to Malta to visit some friends and they suggested we order from Pizza Nook. I took a look at the delivery menu and we ordered wings, pizza, and a bottle of soda. The delivery was fast and the food was delicious. I had to fight to eat the last of the wings and pizza slices. No wonder they ordered from here so often!

My boyfriend and I order from this place 2 – 3 times a week. We get home really late from work and just don’t feel like bothering. It’s a solid place. The best part is that it has a lot of different things, it’s not just the basics. I still am amazed how good their cucumber yogurt sauce is for the chicken gyros. Tzatziki is one of my favorite things and they do a great job. I would definitely recommend this place.
