Absolutely wretched in every way. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered a large pie with anchovies, and spinach on half, an antipasto, and a mixed Italian sub for delivery through The good: The delivery driver was fast, and friendly. The pizza was prepared properly. The crust was NY-style, and pretty darn good: stiff enough to hold, but thin with a crisp edge. The amount of toppings was perfect. The antipasto was appropriately sized, and came with the dressing on the side. The lettuce was washed properly, and the Kalamata olives were even pitted. The sub came with ham, capicola, and salami which seemed similar to Battastoni. I really liked the roll, it had a firm crust, and a soft crumb. They also held the cheese, as ordered. The bad: My order was delivered at 6PM, though it stated 7PM on the ticket. The pizza really is quite good, but without anchovies, or something else salty, it lacks flavor. The difference between the halves was striking. I could really taste the sauce on the side with the fish, but the just cheese side had no perceptible sauce flavor. I suspect this is due to salt, and I know it’s difficult for restaurants to properly season their food these days with the current aversion to any amount of this necessary mineral, but it really brings out the flavor in things. Spinach was left whole, and cooked on top of the cheese resulting in some charring. When I was slinging pies, we’d coarsely chiffonade the spinach, and cook it under the cheese to avoid charring. I ordered a sub with the works yet it was missing lettuce, tomato, and onion. All together, the food is decent with the pizza being the best I’ve had in Saratoga County. I’ll definitely give them another try.

Ordered a medium cheese pizza and crispy chicken salad for dinner. Opted for pick up rather than delivery since I live just down the road. Online ordering is convenient but wasn’t sure how to tell when my order would be ready so ended up having to call the shop to get my wait time. I will say that my food was ready fast(within 30 minutes) but it was a Tuesday evening at 7:15pm. Drove up to the pizza parlor and it was very dark inside and there was no one in the dining room. This has been my experience every time I have stopped in to Giavano’s. Counter help is always friendly, and the pizza maker on duty, Kyle, is amiable as well. A plus for this location is being next door to Brix Wine & Liquor and Minogue’s Beverage Center. My pizza was tasty. I like the thin crust and it wasn’t buried in cheese like the national chains tend to do. The crispy chicken salad also receives praise. Total cost with tax was $ 23 but that does include an add’l $ 2.60 for extra chicken and dressing on the salad.

Pros: Thin crust. The ability to order online. Delivery. Cons: Not much flavor. We ordered a large pizza. Half plain. Half with sausage, peppers and mushrooms. The vegetables and sausage were delicious and perfectly cooked. The sauce had no flavor — not enough salt, garlic or other seasoning.

We enjoy this place. One of the trade-offs we had to make when we moved to the Not-City-Yet-Not-Suburbs was giving up pretty much any and all delivery. Giavano’s is one of the – literally – only places that will deliver to us, so by default they get extra stars. Pizza prices are reasonable, appetizers are a little more than I’d think they would be normally, but overall we are fine spending the dough for someone to bring us food when it’s –20 outside. Ya hear? Worth noting, their gluten-free pizza is good. Probably better than their regular pizza, actually. It’s so good, in fact, that my gluten-loving boyfriend prefers it, and we’ll split a half-and-half pizza. Boneless wings = tasty. Peanut butter pie = tasty(but I think it’s mispriced? It’s the only dessert priced over $ 2.50 at almost double, so that’s a bit confusing, but still tasty). Garden salad = WAY better than I had expected… no iceburg to be found – mesclun mix only… mmmm! Usually delivery comes within an hour, but there have been a few times that it’s taken about 75 – 80 minutes, and quality/quantity of the order seems to be a bit inconsistent depending on how busy they are. That being said, nothing has ever been awful, and the delivery guys are always nice and come to our door, so I am pleased and we will continue to frequent them.

Recommended by a friend. Plenty of food for the price. Great crew turning out a awesome hamburger and sub sandwich. The bread makes the sub.

Since opening, I have ordered from here three times and have yet to be happy with the quality of the food they have prepared. The main problem is that their pizza crust is closer to the taste and texture of cardboard than what would be served from a NY City pizzeria. It didn’t help that they skimped on the sauce, which made it seem drier than expected. We also ordered torpedoes and appetizers. The Onion Rings were good, but there was just way too few of them for the price charged. Come on guys, it just breaded onion slices for God’s sake. They probably cost you 25 cents(including the container they were served in. The Philly Stake Sandwich had nothing to do with the city of brotherly love, other than it’s name. It was disappointing, at best. One thing that I will say about Giavano’s is that they did prepare the wings extra crispy, as requested. This may have saved them from a one star«Eek! Me Thinks Not» rating. Well, three strikes and you’re out.

Fantastic food, service and specials everyday! Try the Chuck Norris pizza! Salads and garlic knots are super and really fresh. Also my son went for the sausage hoagie and loved it. Giavanos is our new go to pizza place

I can’t even describe how excited we were to find this place! Loved it when they were in Wilton and when my husband mentioned this was the same place, son and I wasted no time in getting there. Three of us at 6.30 on a Friday. Five slices of pizza. 5 wings, 3 sodas and a small order of fries: $ 24. Reasonable. Pizza was crisp, tasty and just as good as we remember. Overall, really looking forward to picking up a pizza here on the way home this week!

We just love this pizza joint. We were dissatisfied with the local selection of pizza places, then found Giavano’s. We’ve been getting pizza here since they opened and are satisfied every time. Fresh ingredients. Looking for canned mushrooms? You won’t find them here! Perfect crust; the right thickness, thin and crispy with some chewiness. The sauce is delicious as well. Last but not least, the staff are so nice and remember us when we place our order.

Did not like the pizza. Use to downstate or NYC pizza and not even close. Would not recommend. We had Sicilian and the sauce wasn’t great and the dough tasted like it was made with dirty water.

Way overcooked pizza. Wouldn’t fold. Dry and hard. Bummed. Flavor was there but too bad it stayed in the oven way past its due date. Can’t recommend.

Great pizza! Located in a small strip plaza, Giavano’s Pizzeria in Malta shares the same space with The Morning Grind on the other side of the wall. This place is order at the counter and there is plenty of self serve table seating I stopped here for a late lunch recently. I decided to order one of the pizza slices specials. I got the Any 2 Slices of Pizza, 2 garlic knots or cinnamon twists with dip, and Pepsi Fountain Drink(self serve)($ 6 plus tax). They only had 2 pizzas out to choose from around 3PM. I chose 2 slices of BBQ Bacon & Sausage and the cinnamon twists(with sweet cream cheese dip), which were heated up in the oven for a few minutes. The pizza slices were very good, which had a good thin crust(soft inside, crisp outside) topped with a sweet BBQ sauce, ground sausage, bacon, breaded onion rings, & melted cheese. The cinnamon twists were soft and chewy coated with butter and cinnamon sugar. I enjoyed my lunch with an ice cold Diet Pepsi fountain drink(with refills) and used the free wifi too!
