I have eaten here on multiple occasions, I really enjoy the stromboli and the sausage rolls are good. The pizza is good also.

Been here several times for pizza, subs, or pasta dinner. The pasta dinners leave much to be desired and are not my favorite thing. The chicken parm sub is very good, and my favorite for Thursday nights when it’s on special. The pizza I’ve only had a couple of times, and it’s okay. I’m actually not a huge fan of NY pizza even since I moved here, but that’s just me.

When I’m in upstate NY and the Malta area this is one of the better pizza places around. Not as good as NYC pizza, but good for this area.

I’d been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile; it always smells yummy when I pass it on the way to my nail salon. Well what a huge disappointment! The pizza was greasy and limp. The salad was all iceberg and wasn’t even fresh, it had lots of brown on it. The Italian dressing was mostly oil with some herbs not mixed at all. Save yourself and go elsewhere! I’ll post pictures of the salad but they really don’t do it justice as it looks and tastes worse than depicted.

I’ve eaten at Jimmy’s a couple of times when I just happened to be in the area. I’ve only had the pizza, but it is better than what is served at other area pizzerias. Service is great, the interior is clean and functional. The people at the counter always seem to be in a good mood. If you’re just looking for a slice, they usually have cheese only pizza ready. They will throw some ingredients on your slice if you want something other than cheese only. Kind of a half measure, but they probably don’t get enough people going through there to have three or four fresh pizzas out there. I have had the stuffed shells and they are very cheesy with decent flavor. Not great, just OK. Pizza is a personal preference, so when I’m in the area my personal preference is Jimmy’s.

I have since had some cheese slices at Jimmy’s. They were good too. Tangy sauce and a nice chewy crust. You could get two homemade slices here for about the same as you can get a McMeal.

Pizza is very much a personal thing. Everyone has their preference. I prefer a medium-thick crust and here they serve a thin crust. Not wood-fired-oven thin since they don’t cook with wood, but any-mall-USA thin. But I’ve eaten my share of thin crust pizza so I don’t intend to fault that aspect of it here. Our host enjoys pizza from Jimmy’s so we picked up a couple of 8-cuts on our way to her house. One with just cheese to please her and the other with sausage, onions and peppers(they don’t offer roasted peppers) for us. I thought $ 28 and change seemed a bit expensive. Many places will remove the pie from its baking tray and let it continue to bake on the floor of the oven for the last few minutes to crisp the bottom of the crust. If they did that here it wasn’t evident since after the 7 minute drive to the house there was no crispiness to the bottom of the pizza. and no golden-brown color. The sauce seemed somewhat bland and the sausage consisted of paper thin slices that mostly lacked flavor. I had only one bite that had some fennel flavor. The onions and green peppers were average and the salt level was a bit on the higher side. Next time we may force our host to be satisfied with a thicker crust from a different establishment in the area.

Stopped here on the way to Lake Placid. Nice place, friendly staff not to mention decent food. We ate there on a Friday evening and I was surprised at the steady stream of take business. To me, that’s a good sign.

Good pizza and dinners. I recommend you try one of the daily specials. You get a huge serving for a low price.
