Johnny’s Mac’s Sporting Goods

Wanted to get name and number on the back of some shirts. An older gentleman was working the screen printing area. He showed me some different styles of names and different sized names. He told me that he could probably do them that day. I wasn’t in a hurry for them. I got a phone call about an hour in a half later saying they were done. Sweet. So I went up to get them and they turned out great. This was my first time getting something done like this and four shirt for $ 40. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

I had a gift certificate I needed to spend for Johnny Mac’s. It was for $ 25, so I knew I would probably have to spend more than that amount to get something I wanted. They had a great selection of track pants, athletic shorts, and even all types of athletic equipment. Since the only athletic thing I do is run, I looked at what I could buy for that use. I found an Under Armor shirt that I can wear when it’s cold outside that was just under $ 40.
The staff wasn’t around to help me find what I needed, and when I checked out, the cashier answered the phone while waiting on me. Rude.

Whenever I need sporting goods, whenever I need to get new sneakers, and whenever I need to get something silk screened onto a T Shirt, Johnny Mac’s is the place I go. Need a new Cardinal’s Jersey? Are you one of those people that likes to wear your kid’s High School Mascot on your chest to their baseball games? Guess what… Johnny Mac is your man.
I have been a fan of these guys since high school when I realized they carried more Lacrosse equipment than anywhere else in the city. Also, I just couldn’t handle spending any more money at the Sports Authority and my good hippie parents taught me young it’s better to shop local. So… off to Johnny Mac’s I went to buy my pads and cleats. And ten years later, I’m still shopping there.
The staff here is so incredibly nice and they don’t have that obnoxious cocky «I’m a jock» thing going on. If they don’t have what you are looking for in the store, they will order it in for you and you will have it within the week. There’s not a sport these guys don’t cover either. Next time you need sporting goods, seriously check these guys out. I have been a devoted shopper for over a decade, so that’s gotta be something.
