I have been coming here for years. I really love it. The quality is consistent and the service is always prompt and very friendly. I recommend this for people coming to spend time with families and get some good old-fashioned American comfort

I have had two experiences here one was great the other was horrible. My first experience here was great the young man who served us was polite and attentive had our food served to us very fast and the food was nice and hot. However, the second time was just plain horrible we walked in and the place was dirty, I am guessing a new manager or a upper area manager was in because she was pointing out everything wrong with the place our waitress was just rude and disrespectful with an attitude we asked for fresh peppers and instead she just went to the back and filled it up with fresh juice the manager even told her to get a fresh bottle but the server still didn’t obey and begin to cuss out loud to the cook, and everyone in the kitchen and kept giving us dirty looks. We walked out and went somewhere else never going back there again!

Decent food. Steak ‘n Shake used real ingredients which is nice. Plus the chain carries a Zagat rating for their milkshakes which is pretty cool for a place like this. Service is a little lax and these places always seem to miss something so specify precisely what you want. Overall not bad though and still pretty fast.

Not sure if this is normal, but we had an older lady as our server around 10PM, and she was rude and pretty unresponsive and seemed uninterested in her job.

I went to this location tonight, after waiting in the drive thru for 30 minutes, I paid for my food and went home. Once home, I realized they didn’t give me change back from my $ 20, I called and after being passed around by employees saying«you talk to her» for me to clearly hear I was told«my drawer is short so we don’t have it.» I’ve had terrible service at this location the last few times I’ve been and after being treated this way, I won’t be coming back. I filed a complaint with corporate only to play phone tag back and forth and then they never called me back after a few attempts. I finally gave up.

went tonight for a quick take out of chili and a milk shake. Took about 25 minutes. People were lined up at the cash register, waitress was rude since we had a small order. When paying I looked back into the kitchen area — dirty. Won’t be back.

In the year and a half(or so) that my husband and I have been coming here, the service level has dropped, especially in the drive-thru. Orders have been gotten wrong – wrong size, side left out, cheese on the garlicburger, and so on. Mostly we’ve not fussed about it, but it’s become a regular concern in the last few times we went. We’ve had better luck eating-in, with only one order gotten wrong, and that one was fixed as quickly as they could make a new one, with the server falling all over herself with apologies.(Fries are better then, too) (my husband, the local – I moved here when we got married – says this location has been rather yo-yo-like for some time: declines, then improves, then declines again. Management issue?) We’re likely to start going to one of the other locations now for drive-thru – either the one by 141&44 or the one further west on Manchester in Ballwin. We’ve tried those when in the area and were satisfied.
