A fabulous place to come for a special occasion — Thanksgiving Dinner, Easter Dinner or At Christmas (where we come each year) — knowing the meal will always be delicious! I love coming here & slowing down — leave your cell phone in the car & simply relax … find the right puzzle piece for the puzzle & put your feet up ion the library next to a radiator-​heater that reminds me of my home in the 60’s on Long Island, NY where I grew up … A Very special place indeed … Balsam Mountain Inn Forces you to slow down & appreciate all that Our Creator has made … And will leave you destined to come back again & again.

The inn is amazing! The restaurant has the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and accommodating!!! Love this place! Our 7 year old son loves it too!

This review us for the restaurant. We ate a very nice anniversary dinner. I had the grilled trout and it was so good and perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband enjoyed his Mediterranean Chicken as well. The ambiance is lovely and quiet. Service is good. Homemade salad dressings superb. Good wine and beer selection. We also ate breakfast there and both days it was quite good.
