It’s convenient, nearby and has the items I need. Everything I’m looking for.

I’m sure there are some spots in the area where this could be the most convenient place to go to if you’re incredibly lazy and can’t be bothered to walk to the Mt. Vernon Supermarket on Charles St., or Eddie’s(both of which are roughly a five minute walk from this place), but I can’t see myself ever going back. You always want to get a feel for your neighborhood to see what’s the best in terms of prices and selection, and this place fails on both counts. The Mt. Vernon Supermarket has a better selection and better prices. There’s no real reason in my mind to shop at 1001 Liquors.

This place is run by a very friendly Korean(?) family. It has a pretty basic selection of beer, wine, and liquor. This store also has some regular food/drinks as well as some nice convenience items. Furthermore, this establishment is attached to the apartment buildings at 1001 St. Paul(& there’s also street access). I’m only giving it three stars because it’s pretty expensive.

Nice little mom and pop liquor, wine and beer shop. Friendly, helpful owners. My only gripe for 1001 is that the selection isn’t as great as nearby Aloha’s, but sometimes laziness gets the best of me, as 1001 is on the way back from work.
