I happened across Amicci’s while looking for place to eat with my family during Restaurant Week. While looking at their exterior menu, a departing patron informed us that Amicci’s was celebrating their 25th anniversary and utilizing their 1991 prices! We ordered two appetizers — a bowl of soup with Italian sausage, pasta and spinach and a bread dish with a cheesy sauce and jumbo shrimp. Both were exceedingly delicious. For the entrée I ordered the shrimp and broccoli Alfredo and my daughter ordered the tortellini. We also paired the meals with a glass of sangria. We were unable to finish our meals because we wanted to save room for dessert! We both ordered the tiramisu. It was the most tender, deliciously rich tiramisu I’ve ever had! I finished off the scrumptious meal with a cup of coffee. Our server, Heather, was delightfully informative and cheerful. It was our first visit but certainly not the last. I recommend it highly!

I have been a long time fan of Amiccis, but starting this January they have changed the menu significantly. More of a cheap, low quality, and ordinary menu about as good as an olive garden. You basically can choose between red sauce or alfredo. The service was awful. Waitress chewed gum the entire time and refused to let me sub out a type of meat because«it would be to hard to do for the new cooks». I am not sure when removing sausage for prosciutto became a difficult order? I will not be coming back again.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. To start off, we made a reservation the day before and when we arrived 10 minutes early, we were told that no reservation was in the system under our name but that, we would be helped in a few minutes. 40 minutes later, after no further contact, and after being continually ignored, we were finally seated. It was 15 minutes before a server even approached our table, but we were being patient considering he may have been busy. We ordered appetizers, drinks and our entrees, and looking back, the bread was the best part of our meal. After waiting an hour and twenty minutes for our entrees to arrive, we then had to ask for silverware and napkins. We also were only given butter knives to cut our meat, so while trying to cut veal, Marsala sauce squirted off of the plate, onto my fiancé and I and the walls. I also ordered the Seafood Primavera(shrimp and scallops over pasta) and realized that I was only given shrimp. When I informed our server that I was only given shrimp, he proceeded to ask the kitchen what happened. Apparently, they ran out of scallops and gave me «double» shrimp, however, this was never communicated to us and I did not actually receive double shrimp. We did receive $ 5 off of our meal but we’re definitely not happy with the quality of food, whatsoever. Also, the owner was sitting at a table right beside us the entire time, with a group of friends and at no point, showed any interest in his other patrons. This restaurant was most definitely over-hyped. And to top it all off, my fiancé found a centipede on the wall of the bathroom as we were leaving.

Great Italian American food in a pleasant clean and friendly atmosphere. Love their mussels and the eggplant. Servers are great and take good care of you. They are very friendly and accommodating! Portions are large and not really expensive. Much better than many others in Little Italy especially DaMimmo’s which has aweful food and over charges for mediocre food.

My family and I have been going there for 10 years or so and the last few times we were there it was very plain and unappealing. the food feels like it has lost some flavor and the wait staff had no life to them. I had to ask for bread(this is new) wen before they would just bring out tons if it. The bread was old an hard. Overall because I could go on for hours. We normally visit there every 29th of each month due to a family tradition with gnocchi but we will be looking for another place to start a new tradition like Café Gia. I heard that their lasagna and gnocchi are exceptional. Hopefully this helps you make your choice.

Had a large party of 30 for lunch and ordered from the menu. Service was terrific and food consistently well received. Large portions. Standout meals: Shrimp scampi bread appetizer was shared by 8. For entrees: «Delores» with chicken had ham, spinach, and tomatoes in a garlic sauce and«Luigi» with zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, Italian sausage, shrimp, etc over linguini. Chicken parm was also fabulous. Meat sauce was really good.

Was pretty disappointed, not even my toddler liked the food… I really wanted to like this place but it’s really hard to mess up a salad, spaghetti, and tortellini, this place did it. Two stars for friendly service, but the food just wasn’t good.

Great choice for Happy hour meals. Meatballs were very tasty with some Italian spices and a little taste of garlic. Calamari were crispy and tomato sauce was delicious. It was a friendly service and we had a nice table next to the window at the bar area.

Great experience here! The service was pretty slow because there was a party of 60+ upstairs but the waitress kept apologizing, checking on us and handing out freebies so we were ok with that! We will definitely return to this«casual» Italian restaurant soon. One of my favorite little Italy gems.

This spot is located in Little Italy, just a mile away from the downtown area. Its a casual restaurant with decadent flavors and big portions. The décor makes you feel as if you are in a living room and the staff seals the deal. Theres a full bar with tons of specials. My coworkers and I shared garlic, cheese bread and fried calamari. I had the shrimp pesto pasta as an entrée. Everything was delicious and I will definitely return on my next trip to Baltimore.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my dad’s birthday this past weekend. We were visiting the inner harbor from the NYC area and this casual Italian restaurant was everything we were looking for. The menu has so much to offer at extremely reasonable prices. Upon arriving, the staff made us feel right at home. The customer service was excellent and everyone really went out of their way to make sure we had a positive dining experience. My parents both had the Shrimp Fra Diavlo and they said it was one of the best they’ve ever had(and trust me, they are very picky!). I had the special which included shrimp and mussels in a marinara sauce which was excellent! The portion sizes are huge so you could easily share an entrée. They topped off the evening by bringing out one of the best cannoli’s I’ve ever tried with a candle in it to wish my dad a happy birthday. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Baltimore!

We went to Amiccis for our wedding annivesary dinner for the first time. From reading the reviews, I ordered the Pane Rotundo appetizer. My mother and I shared it and it was delicious! For my entrée, I asked the waitress for a recommendation. I ordered the PASTACORLEONE. It was good. My husband ordered the FETTUCCINEALFREDOWITHBROCCOLI and substituted the broccoli for fresh spinach and added chicken. It was bland, bland, and bland. It tasted too milky meaning they didnt put enough parmesan cheese in the sauce. My mother ordered the Caesar salad. It was dry, dry, and dry. One of the worst Caesar salads I ever tried. I like Caesar salad with shaved parmesan cheese and a creamy caesar dressing. They sprinkled parmesan cheese(powder form) and a little dressing and called it Caesar Salad. Awful. The garlic bread was just okay. It was too soggy in the middle. Our meal wasnt good enough for us to come back.

What a wonderful low key real Italian restaurant, no strolling violinist, checkered table clothes or opera playing, nothing pretentious or phony, just good food reasonably priced with most entrees including salad priced in the $ 15.00 range. Our friend from Baltimore insisted we start with the Pane’ Rotundo; a round fresh bread brushed with garlic butter and topped with shrimp in a creamy scampi sauce. It’s large and can be shared as an app or an entrée for one. So good you can’t stop eating it! This along with an app of steamed mussels was a wonderful beginning. All entrees include a house or Caesar salad. The Caesar was nothing special although crisp and fresh, I found the«dressing» had no flavor. I did ask for it «with anchovies» which the waiter either didn’t hear, understand or remember. When Caesars are prepared in bulk it seems typically anchovies aren’t included as they get a bad rap with so many people. Not a big deal, but this was a low point of an evening of fabulous food. Good fresh made Italian sausage is so rare to find the DC went with the flavorful and beautiful to look at sausage with red and green peppers and onions over pasta. The sausage had that old world flavor and was prepared perfectly. I had the Tortellini with peas and ham. So good; ample ham pieces had a wonderful mild salty flavor with tender and pillowy cheese filled Tortellini covered in a wonderful Alfredo sauce. The servings were huge and couldn’t have been better along with excellent service. Fortunately Little Italy survives in Baltimore and Amicci’s is a real winner serving food with real soul. Godere!

This is a very nice spot for some great Italian food. I ventured here with a group of 5 or 6 people who had never been to this section of Baltimore. We ordered a few drinks from the bar, which has a decent selection that included bottles of local beer. Our service was quick. We started with some garlic bread which was good but nothing special. Same for my pasta and mushrooms entrée(sorry I dont remember the specific name!). However, one of my friends raved about how good the lasagna was and boy were they right! Definitely take a look at the baked pasta section of the menu.

I’ll confess, I’m not a huge fan of Italian food — but this place is solid, even though it’s obviously surrounded by significant competition. Amiccis is a Italian joint in Little Italy, meaning that it kinda-sorta blends into a big mix of Italian joints in the area. That being said, the place itself is nice, service(though I only got take-out) was quick and polite, and prices are super reasonable given the huge portion sizes. The food here is solid. I had the Dolores with Veal, which I absolutely adored — the veal itself was tender, tasty, and went phenomenally well with the spaghetti(which, alone, was pretty solid but not mind-blowing). I wasn’t as much in love with the Orecchiette with Vodka Sauce, which I found to be nicely spicy but not exactly the kind of flavor I’d normally go for. The side salads were solid, no complaints there. What stood out among all dishes was the insane portion sizes — there’s a LOT of food for your money, meaning that this food readily lends itself to copious leftovers, and it’s all good enough to make you want to eat it again. I may not be the best person to review this joint — again, not super into Italian — but this place is a solid choice with huge portion sizes and, in my experience, at least one freaking excellent dish.

I wanna start by saying the restaurant is very cute. But what’s not cute is the dang Fried Calamari I ordered!!! The grease in there fryer needs to be changed asap!!! I’m so mad because I really really had a taste for some good calamari but because of the burnt grease I couldn’t enjoy it! Plus they left the calamari in the fryer to to long which resulted in it becoming chewy. Worse calamari EVER!!! So that was a waste of 9 bucks! … I also ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which was. Mah.(Not the best ever but not bad) the chicken was pretty good and the whole thing was saucy, plus it was a good portion so they get points for that! But seriously I want a do over on the calamari! I wasn’t expecting the best ever but with a restaurant located in historic little Italy surrounded by the top of the line in Italian foods at the very least I would expect there cook to know he needs to change the grease! That’s cooking basics! Now for the big question… Would I go back… Can’t say it’s on the top of the list but if it’s late and everything else is closed and I only have $ 20 to feed two people then maybe… Just maybe.

Three vegetarians decided to have nice Italian dinner and since they were running late, were pleasantly surprised to find that they were open late on weekends(we walked in around 10:30 pm or so). Classic Italian fare and with a very friendly service. They have both bar and traditional sit-down seating. We sampled their house salad, which by default is not vegetarian, but they tossed one for us without the meat. What’s special is that they reduced the price for the salad. Nice gesture — 0.5 star just for that! The other entrée was eggplant parmigiana, which comes with a side of spaghetti– both servings were dutifully finished. Eggplant parm was crusty and yummy and pasta had the right consistency. Solid A. Penne Giardina was the third dish. This one tasted a bit on the healthier side(and not in a good way). The sauce was not creamy enough and it just did not have enough to latch onto the palate. House bread was ok — maybe we were too late to get a warm-out-of-the-oven bread.

Not authentic, but once you get over the fact, it’s not bad at all. Slightly overpriced, but large portions and good service. Complimentary bread could use a little upgrade. Most plates come with side salads. The calamari is pretty standard. The garlic bread with cheese is simple, yet delicious. Most of the pasta-only dishes seem to be on the creamier side, but standalones like the the Eggplant Parmigiana and Veal Valentino are great.

this is a really great hole in the wall/mom and pop place. I came here with my coworkers for a little staff dinner and we had a good time! it really feels like an Italian Sunday dinner. we ordered so much food that I can’t remember everything however for my main entrée I had the chicken marsala and that was really good.
