I love there salads here and the atmosphere is great when since you can sit outside and listen to bands. The drinks vary depending on who is making them but overall decent.

Editable but not good. Place has gone downhill. We go b/c its close and every now and then its ok. but its never really that great. I wouldnt recommend it unless you are really hungry and dont care what you put in your mouth.

Awful. Bland mexican food is what they serve.

I’ve eaten here about 15 times. The last three times(over the summer and fall) the service and food have been awful. I know Tex Mex and Mexican food having lived in Texas and understand that this is was good for the area. The key here is «ITWAS» good. No more. The chips were hard and stale. The guacamole was day old and the fajitas were soaked in oil. They either need a management change or need to close the doors.

Wings here were great you definitely have to get them if you stop in. We came in during a ravens game and sat at the bar which wasn’t that crowded at all. The service was remarkably slow considering how many people were there. However the wings, chips and sliders were top notch. Come for the food and great specials they have here, just don’t be in a hurry when you do.

Love the chips and salsa. Best I’ve had to date in Baltimore. Food is pretty good. Wed night is trivia night, which I’d fun. We went a random late fri or sat night, and it has turned into an urban club scene, odd. Their rewards program is pretty good. All in all, a recommedation.

I was convinced to go here on a Tuesday night with promises of free and good chips and salsa. The place as empty, so we sat at a booth near the bar — good choice — it was much cozier there. The chips and salsa were amazing… and free of course. We split fish tacos and chicken/veggie fajitas. While the seasoning was great on both, the fish was a little tough(how is that possible?) and the chicken a little dry. Despite this though, the rice and beans were yummy and again, the seasoning I really liked. The service could have been better — somehow the server thought we wanted the tacos as our appetizers… weird but other than that it was a pleasant dining experience. Again, go for the free chips and salsa! The chips were homemade(I think) and the salsa was smoky and flavorful. For chain-Tex-Mex it wasn’t too bad :).

We’ve tried many Mexican, Tex-Mex, and similar chain places, and Austin Grill is right up there with our favorites — they’re consistent and the quality is typically better than others. Great grilled items, and we’d especially recommend the skirt steak. Fajitas are good, but not spectacular. Margaritas are excellent, but not the best value in the city. Service is good, especially for a place that ends up with tourists filling it up on popular nights.

I am embarrassed to say that I’ve eaten here twice. The first time was on the day I moved to Canton — it was rainy and cool and my sister and mom were in town to help me out. Not having a clue, I ventured into this place, figuring it would be a decent chain. The best part was the chips and salsa, from thereon, it was downhill. The food seems dry and lacks flavor. The second time I went, had the fish tacos — pretty silly move given the first experience. Again, dry fish, barely enough lime to try to moisten/season it. The waitstaff also seems uninspired. Now I know better!

the food was just okay here but the happy hour specials are worth the trip.

Typical chain restaurant. It was uninspiring and I didn’t know if I was in Baltimore, LA, or Atlanta. The mexican food was bland and smothered in cheese and sour cream. The food also took a while to arrive. I will give them originality for hosting a swing night. I will pass again.

Daughter and son-in-law took us here to celebrate after daughter completed her first triathlon. The food was awesome. I had a shrimp and avocado salad with the BEST cilantro/lime salad dressing I’ve ever had. Hubby and s-i-l had ribs. S-i-l says they are the BEST. Daughter got a black bean burrito that was as big as a house. She couldn’t eat it all. The service was not good or I would have given five stars. Evan, our server, just couldn’t get his act together. He did comp the guacamole because he forgot to bring it out BEFORE the entrees. But, in spite of that, we had a wonderful time sitting and talking(outside) and enjoying the beautiful weather and Baltimore. Would try it again.

Okay, admittedly, I used to hate Austin Grill. I felt like a sell out for visiting a chain. But, I work nearby, and have grown to like their margaritas and rock fish soft tacos. I won’t really vary from those items that I have found to be reliably good. The service is usually very friendly, although not top notch, and it’s an easy place to get a table. They also get extra props for lots of outdoor seating which is perfect for people watching when the weather is nice.

in trying to avoid the mylar balloon and goth debacle that was outback on valentines day, my sugarpie and i ended up here. there was no wait, the tecate was cold, the rockfish tacos were hot(if a little too buttery), the chips were homemade and outstanding. it was a weeknight, quiet, and the staff was attentive and friendly. if the idea of Brunch In Canton didn’t sound worse than rectal bleeding, i’d be excited to try it.

Keely and I were invited to come here for a CD release party and show. I enjoyed the restaurant, but it seriously lacked any sort of «it» that would bring me back for seconds, thirds or fifths. This place is busy on a Friday night! We had to wait about 10 or so minutes for a table to open up and when we were sat, we were sat at the smallest four person table I have ever seen. We hardly had room for our drinks and menus(we had four people in our party). I couldn’t even think about how our food was going to fit. Our waitress was cool with it when we asked to be moved to a bigger table. I’m really glad they had Shiner Bock on tap. This was a surprise because I was preparing myself for them only having domestics for draughts. To top it all off, the prices didn’t break the bank either. As for the food, I ordered the steak quesadilla. It was extremely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and I was expecting it to be tough and chewy, but was I wrong. It was nice and tender and it almost(almost!) melt in my mouth like quality, well-cooked beef. However, it was incredibly greasy. It was enough grease to coat my digestive tracts for weeks. The live music area is rather small. It was really crowded and if you’re claustrophobic, this was not the area for you. The area was small and square with one back corner cut for the band. The back of the area was the bar wall so it was impossible, at times, to cut through so you could reach the bathrooms. Austin Grill does have potential, but it just lacks an unique identity. I can find other places that serve this type of food, have live music and cultivate a fun, one-of-a-kind atmosphere derived from their identity.

We went here last night for my Birthday dinner. They do take reservations and I called the day ahead of time to make them. There is also plenty of Free parking right there. They were very helpful for a group of 11. The Austin Grill serves decent Tex-Mex . I have had better Tex-Mex food but the place was good for a group and we had a good time. I would go back. We started off with the: Taquitos Hand-rolled flour tortillas stuffed with spicy smoked chicken, cheeses and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. A lot of people drank on of the following: The Famous SWIRLIE(my favorite) Specialty of the House — a swirl of our frozen strawberry and lime margaritas. Close your eyes and pretend you’re at Barton Springs. Rita Rocks Made the right way with fresh lime juice, Sauza Gold and triple sec. Sangria A refreshing mixture of red wine, fresh fruit, brandy and port served on the rocks. For dinner I don’t recall what everyone had but of what people did order they said they liked it and is was good. The poritions for hte most part were average. How ever the chips they give you are YUMMY! Dinner: Austin Grill Classic Combo(mine– I liked the taco the best) A chicken enchilada with mild green chile sauce and a grilled steak taco. Austin Taco Combo(Hubby liked the carnitas the best) One skirt steak, one chicken, one carnitas and one picadillo hard shell. Fajitas– Skirt Steak Served with the works: flour tortillas, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, rice and beans.

The Austin Grill is a decent choice to grab a frozen margarita and fajitas when the mood hits. I recently had the Bavo salad with shrimp. The salad itself was tasty with a little kick to it(maybe it was the lime/cilantro dressing) but i thought the shrimp could have been cooked a little more. There are some good reasons to go: –Easy parking — they have a big lot and its easy to grab a spot closeby –Good location — there’s good places to check out near the restaurant before and after dinner like Cloud 9 and grab an ice cream at Cold Stone on the other side of the parking lot –Chip & Salsa(its spicy!)
