I ordered some dinnerware from this company over a year ago. Although I loved the set it did not hold up well with daily use, and I recently came back to re-purchase a second set to replace some of the damaged pieces. I left a negative review about my disappointment with the quality of the set. I was then contacted by Brian at Bambeco who let me know about their 100% satisfaction policy, and issued me a store credit for the full amount of the dinnerware. I have never received a resolution like this from any other company where I’ve left reviews. I felt like this was an excellent resolution and was extremely unexpected. I will use this company again for future purchases.

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from this company – maybe then I wouldn’t be as surprised or frustrated that the item I ordered in December still hasn’t arrived now that it’s mid-May. I don’t live in the Baltimore area, but was very taken with the beautiful things on their website and their principles. But, like many other reviewers here, I’ve had great frustrations with receiving the items I ordered. I ordered two things as part of a gift. There was no indication on the website that quantities of either were low; however, when the package arrived only one of the items was there along with notification that the other item would be available«early 2015.» Since it was already December I was mildly disappointed but thought it was reasonable that maybe the holiday demand got away from them or something. The next thing I heard was that it would ship«on or around February 1st.» Slightly more irritated, I wrote to them in early February(after hearing nothing) and was told it would ship«on or around March 3.» This is a pattern that continues every month or so to this day. Never once have I been given any exact date(the latest is «on or around June 21st” – please remember that this was ordered in December with no indication of low quantities). 99% of the updates I’ve received on this delay are in response to my inquiries, NOT outreach by the company. Responses have been friendly enough but curt and with no discounts or anything else offered for this inconvenience. Too bad. If you have any interest in received your product or information in any sort of timely way shop somewhere else! Terrible customer service.

ZEROSTARS! Negative stars even. Ordered a rug and was told it was delayed by a month, but when I check on the delayed shipping date(was supposed to be April 15, which is about a month after I ordered), all I got was a vm from customer service saying they are checking with the manufacturer. I’ve called a zillion times over the past week to see if I can get a status update and I get a voicemail box every time I call their main line, even when I press 1 for«new orders». How does any company stay in business by taking messages for orders??? Also, nobody returns emails. This company is HORRIBLE for customer service. Never again. Annoyed since our fam room has been bare forever and now I may have to order from somewhere else. Super duper annoyed.

Love what the company stands for as I’m personally committed to making a difference in our world. Ordered multiple times from the company and enjoying some great sustainable products. I was very pleased with how the product was packaged, but in with the types of materials used to minimize the carbon footprint, and the care in which they obviously took in packaging the products. I ordered some very cool glassware and root wood serving pieces — learned a great deal about sustainable woods. There doesn’t seem to be anyone else like bambeco in the retail world; lots of companies pretending to be «sustainable», but seem to lack the sincerity and authenticity of bambeco. Will definitely be shopping there again soon.

This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received from a company. I am still waiting on a table I ordered months ago. The first one apparantly was damaged which they did not tell me. When I finally called to find out where my table was they said they could send me the damaged one(at no cost reduction) if I could not wait for a new one to be made. I opted for a new one and they did tell me they would rush the order and I should receive by Jan 25th… I still do not have it. It is supposed to arrive in a few weeks — I had to cancel my weekend plans or else wait another two weeks past that for the delivery. If I could find another eco-friendly kitchen table fast I would cancel my order right now. I have ordered a rug and glasses from them and been pleased but will never order from them again given their complete lack of attention to customer service.

I ordered some water glasses for Christmas and one was broken. I sent Bambeco an email and called the store to make sure they send me the replacement by Christmas because they will be used at that time. They sent me a shipping notification about 4 days later and it stated I would receive the item the day after Christmas. I sent them another email stating they had the worst customer service and they said«well you did receive the other glasses before Christmas». What a lame excuse for a company that knows nothing about good customer service. Buyer beware — I would go elsewhere for your home décor needs, which is what I will do next time.
