I was really excited about picking up my old stained glass transom from Terraza Stained Glass. I removed the glass to restore it and replace in a property I am rehabbing in Baltimore. The glass was in decent condition except for the faded numbers but, the frame was looking it’s age. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed in how it was returned. I indicated that I wanted to reuse the transom. I don’t think I came across as being cheap. I went on the suggestion of who I believe to be the owner/manager as what should be done. My cost was $ 200 and I was told it would take 2 weeks. The requested piece was replaced but, it was returned to me looking not so good otherwise. If I knew it would be returned still needing more work(to be cleaned and painted), I would have opted to do something different. Maybe I’m missing something but, I’m just really shocked that this is what was returned to me for $ 200 and waiting 2 weeks. The new framed stained glass work in their studio looks great. I just don’t think I will bring another glass to be restored.

Fantastic place. I got a coupon as a gift for my wife for a stained glass class last year. She said it was amazingly fun, and that we should go together sometime. So we did so a couple of weeks ago. The class we attended was on a Sunday afternoon. About 3 hours long. The entire staff is just plain amazing(and quite funny too). They really show you what to do and how to do it. The classes we’ve been to are for small art projects, stained glass items of various shapes just 6″-8″ on a side, but I know they do much larger projects as well. You’re on your feet for pretty much the entire time so wear comfortable shoes, but it is fun. You go at your own pace, so if you’re slower than everyone else, no problem — the instructors will wait with you and help. And if you’re faster, then you simply are done before everyone else. Wear old clothes, as you *will* be getting dirty and there’s a chance that you’ll have some(not much if at all) glass dust on you from cutting and sanding. We will definitely be going again; we’re on their mailing list and decided to try to get there every few months for some fun. We had a great time, and highly recommend Terraza to anyone and everyone.

We had such a great time with the Stained Glass Ornaments class at Terraza Stained Glass Studio in Brooklyn, MD. A group of coworkers went as our«crafty exploration» series. We had so much fun we booked the 3-hr class! I can imagine it would be a fun birthday party option as well.

This is a review for the classes. We did the 3hr class through Living Social. Bottom line, the class was fantastic and it’s so fun to have our own work. The two volunteers who helped us were great – Jo in particular took was a great instructor and great personality. The shop is in an industrial part of town, and the class ends late so only driving or über is an option. The place reeked of cigarette smoke(I assume from another part of the shop or outside – no one visibly smoked), but if you have respiratory anything it could be really bothersome. Our clothes smelled after, too. Also, though it advertised byob, no one really did that, and there was neither the time or table space to really do that. This was fine for us – we just had our bottle of wine after, while admiring our work – just don’t make that a central feature of your plan. ;)

What a fun night out! I took my team here for a work event. Not only were Mary and her team fully prepared for us, they were extremely professional and FUN to work with! This type of art is not easy and there was no down time. Every time you complete one step, it’s time to move onto the next. Mary kept us all moving even when some of us fell behind and needed some extra help. NOBODY left less that satisfied with their final product — everyone’s art turned out great! I would totally do this again and will recommend it to friends.

I went here with a friend using a groupon. We each made a small stained glass decoration. It was really fun! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Now, I’m ready to come back and make something larger! The parking was good — not crowded and easy to get a spot. The location was good and off of 295. Looking forward to the next visit!

I’m not at all a crafty person & didn’t know if I Was going to like this class. But I went for a birthday party and the instructors were very good! Easy location & plenty parking. I would go back!

I went with a friend to an introduction class. It was a great experience. There were several instructors always on hand and everybody went at their own pace. The whole process was very hands-on from choosing glass pieces to adjusting and putting everything together. I

I went solo one evening using a living social my wife had purchased for me. This was my first time working with glass and I absolutely LOVEDIT! They had lots of different colors of glass to chose from and the directions were step-by-step and easy to follow. The staff was very friendly and helpful and had a great sense of humor! Even the other participants were a joy! The staff was always available to show the techniques and were very patient as well! Next time, I’m definitely bringing my wife with me! Even without a living social or groupon, solo or with friends, it’s totally worth it!
