Good casual place. Lots of off menu items for the regulars.

Discovered this lovely spot just yesterday and had the incredible Chicken Souvlaki platter. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the pita bread was warm and the salad was fresh and crisp. I also ordered a drink and it was wonderfully stiff. Service here was fantastic with only one person manning the bar and also tending to the other patrons as well. Has a great neighborhood bar vibe that was really appealing to me. I will be coming back to try one of their gyros soon as they must be incredible. This spot fuses the bar, restaurant, and wine bar successfully.

The staff is amazing, and the food is incredible. Every dish is mouth-watering and reasonably priced. The only problem with the place is that you never have any idea when it will be open. I suggest calling ahead of time

I absolutely love this restaurant, it was a much needed change from the previous place. Everything about this place is really good, the people who run it, the food they make and service they give is all wonderful.

I love the veggie pasta– penne with Greek vegetables, feta & a garlicy sauce. It’s large enough for 2 portions, comes with salad and garlic bread for $ 8! The staff is friendly & there’s never a wait for takeout orders. This is my go to «don’t feel like cooking tonight» place because everything tastes homemade.

Found this place thanks to fellow Unilocalers… Loved the zucchini fries, crab cakes, and veggie paninis– all of which were awesome! The crab dip was ok. Tried their homemade vodka drink which was sinfully refreshing! Most of all, was bowled over with how accommodating out server was — from moving the outdoor seats to a shady spot to bringing a foam bowl for feeding our puppy! One note of warning though — if you order extra sauces on the side, they charge you for them. Other than that, all good!

I live down the street and got the veggie panini to go, so good and only 5 $! The restaurant looks so cute inside, I’ll have to bring my sister or a friend soon to sit down for happy hour. I’ll be back :)

Interesting concept — this place is part bar, part resturaunt, part coffee shop. We went for a Sunday brunch — they don’t have traditional breakfast/brunch, but we were satisfied to get specialty coffee drinks and lunch sandwiches. Everyone loved their food, and I plan to try B&G again for the good food at inexpensive prices — but I had to stop at 4 stars because service was abysmal and unresponsive. Only go if you have some extra time to kill and don’t mind slow service.

Every time my family and I visit Baltimore, we MUST eat here! We have never been let down. The restaurant and restrooms are clean. The food is amazing. There’s a full bar. There’s a full coffee service. The prices are very reasonable. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. All fresh. All cooked to order. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Yum!

I’ve been here twice now each time the food was superb. The brisket melted like butter and delicious mashed potatoes and for only 11 dollars can’t beat that. Went back for a burger even that was excellent. If you decide to visit beans and grapes you absolutely have to try the shrimp unlike anything I’ve ever had. Drinks are awesome and so is the apple pie. I will certainly be a regular and it’s in a great neighborhood.

Why has it taken me this long to go to beans and grapes?! I live on Ann and Lombard, so legit right around the corner. and it has taken me 9 months to visit since I moved here. BIGMISTAKE. Beand and Grapes is a cute bar/restaurant in upper fells point, and it was desperately needed. I came here on a Tuesday night around 9 pm for am impromptu casual birthday dinner with two girlfriends. Surprise! It’s still happy hour… $ 4 sangria and other drink specials.(my NA cider was comped!) Steamed shrimp for $ 5 shared with friends with bread to dip. SOGOOD. We also ordered the zucchini fries and it was a pretty big portion for $ 4 to split among the three of us. We each ordered a gyro sandwich. Mine was the lamb. it was unbelievable — so tender, not like you disappointingly so opften get with gyros. too tough to enjoy. Nope this was perfect. The tzatiki sauce was yummy and I had leftovers to bring home. Oh and it came with a pretty large greek salad. I think my meal was 8 or 9 dollars too? yes. We also got the rice pudding brulee and apple pie for deserts. All were devoured. Total bill with drinks was like $ 55. Yeah. And the service was most excellent. Bartender was taking care of everyone and ciouldn’t have done a better job. Thank you so much Beans and Grapes! i will be back again soon!

Great food and good service. Go for breakfast and get the crabcake, bacon egg and cheese on pita bread. Their coffee and espresso is also excellent.

Beans and Grapes has been a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here a couple of times and the food and drinks have always been very affordable. The quality of the food was good, not spectacular but always tasty. If you like french fries the one time I got them they came out very fresh, crisp and piping hot. The staff has always been extremely friendly. My only real complaint is that there’s no draft beer.

Finally came here last night with my bestie. Because we needed wine! What a cute little place. Not the most romantic or coziest atmosphere, but s’okay because we weren’t going to stare into each other’s eyes and try to do the NYTimes 36 questions on relationships. Happy hours have $ 3 sangria(homemade, real fruit chunks, and NOT sweet, danke!), $ 4 house wines, and food specials. Not much of a beer choice, wish they’d had more beer, they got Flying Dog. Ate mussels with chorizo with some delicious butter grilled bread. And thankfully my friend is on a paleo-ish so I got to eat all of the bread. HOORAY. Lots of people getting takeout, some peeps sitting with laptops doing work, and us two chatting away our hump day stress. Good to know on Tuesdays, tis ½ priced bottle nights for vino. :D

Love having this place right around the corner! We love to pop in for O’s games especially since we don’t have cable. The food is great. Love the nachos, especially with chicken. They have MELTY cheese sauce, and they’re extra awesome with grilled chicken on top. The greek dishes are also really good. The veggie penne pasta is the best deal in town — a full pasta dish, side salad, and bread for under $ 10. Prices are great, especially during happy hour. Drink selection is pretty good as well, although most of their beers are bottled, I think. Everyone who works there is really nice as well. Definitely a good addition to the neighborhood, and a great spot for when you want to get out of the house for dinner but don’t want to spend a ton.

Good food, good ambiance and excellent service! Will definitely go back to this place. Didn’t know anything about this place but went with 4 girlfriends and we were extremely impressed. We had the friend zucchini and calamari for appetizers which were both very good. For entrees we ordered the mussels, the spanakopita, and the crab cake. For dessert we had the apple pie, cheesecake, and rice pudding crème brûlée(2 of my fave desserts combined). This place is a hidden gem. Very unpretentious, casual, and they make you feel very comfortable. Oh and very reasonable prices. Will definitely revisit!

Unbelievably good food and service. I would give them 100 stars If I could. The head on shrimp app with Ouzo was amazing and the size of an entrée, the Lamb Gyro was the best I’ve had, the lamb chops on a Greek salad was to die for, the beef brisket with mashed potatoes was awesome classic comfort food. Great drink choices including some of my favorite beers. Evan and Nicole were very attentive. Seriously, this is the most hidden treasure in Baltimore.

What a neat little find! I was tortured for some medical stuff at Johns Hopkins and was starving right around 5pm. Instead of braving the traffic, I turned my Unilocal App on and found this gem! A cute little row house neighborhood(not sure what part of town this is called). I was pleasantly surprised… kind of reminded me of a Philly neighborhood. Anyway I had a delicious Greek Salad with what appeared to be fresh feta and homemade dressing. I asked for a side of pita bread with taziki. The pita came out piping hot. It was so delicious! I had a glass of Sangria on special. I think I hit the happy hour special. Anyway…my bill with drink was a total of $ 11.00. I can’t think of the last time I paid only $ 11.00 for this type of awesome dinner! Pleasantly surprised… I will be back!

We started dinner off with zucchini fries. The aioli dipping sauce was amazing. The zucchini fries were perfectly seasoned where no extra salt was needed. Their paninis are very reasonably priced, only about $ 5 each. I got the chicken pesto panini which was ready fairly quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive. They also had a Hawaiian crush which was more of a tropical crush and very tasty. I did think this place was supposed to be Greek food, but there was only about 1 Greek item on the menu when I went.

OVERALL: Maybe I’m being overly generous with my rating, but I’m gonna do it anyways. This place is brand spankin’ new so I’m sure a lot will change from where it’s at now. I talked to the people who run this place and they’re currently advertising by offering free coffee.(They have free Wi-Fi too!) They still plan on stocking up on wine and hope to offer that as one of their main gigs. They’re still adjusting their hours and with more business will stay open later. Whatever the deal is going to be they have a fully stocked bar, good food, and nice portions! AMBIANCE&DECOR:(Look at the picture.) It was pretty empty when I got there, but the staff was very friendly. It’s a brightly lit café/restaurant/bar and all I could hear was the low hum of the TV. What else can I say, their chairs were comfortable? SERVICE: Awesome. FOOD: The chef is Greek so we had to order the souvlaki! It was delicious and the perfect portion for two. The chicken was moist, the rice flavorful, and the salad fresh. We also tried their mussels. The broth was amazing and the bread was perfectly grilled. Their mussels are definitely in my top three from restaurants in Baltimore. The only disappointment was that they ran out of rice pudding brulee. We really wanted to try that. Next time I come back I’m definitely eating again, and hopefully will drink too!
